Some might recall the Internet controversy that took place last July when the U.S. Department of Justice removed the American flag header from its website, replacing “Old Glory” with a solid black background. In conjunction with the stripping of the stars and stripes, controversy increased with the inclusion of a quote placed on nearly every page of the DOJ web site that reads “The common law is the will of Mankind issuing from the Life of the People.” Based on the number of e-mails I’ve received over the last few days, it is apparent that many seem to be just now learning of the USDOJ web site makeover.

Whether you first learned about this change in the American Spectator which reportedly “broke” the story, or in an article penned by Stephanie Mencimer at Mother Jones who accuses “Obama-haters these days seem to find evidence everywhere of socialism creeping into the federal government,” this issue has never been more important than it is today.

Real hope and change

In the last presidential election, the individual who ostensibly won the election ran on a platform of “hope and change”. These amorphous concepts were never defined, and we have subsequently seen that his idea of change is radically different from that of patriotic Americans. Almost everything he and his “progressive” unindicted co-conspirators in the House and Senate have done has been aimed at destroying our capitalist economy, eliminating private property rights, instituting socialist/neo-fascist totalitarian government, and creating mass dependency on it. Change, indeed.

As to hope, this appears to be the hope that no one will notice what they are up to until it’s too late to stop it.

Unfortunately for the Usurper and his extremist, America-hating allies, Americans did notice, very quickly. This was totally unexpected by the elitists, who appear to genuinely believe that all Americans but themselves are as `stoopid’ and/or willfully ignorant as their progressive constituents. The panic and disarray the Democrat Party exhibited during the 2010 election was a treat to watch. Nearly every single progressive candidate that the Great Prevaricator went out to campaign for lost, big time. The only ones who didn’t, most likely won due to good ol’ tried and true Democrat voter fraud. Right, Harry? Right, Barbara? Right, Lisa?

Terminally Clueless

You don’t know whether to laugh at their seeming idiocy or pity their deafness and blindness, but it appears that the Democratic leadership has a contest going to see who can make the dumbest public statements.

In the last few days they’ve been trampling each other to prove who among them is the most clueless. We have Steny Hoyer claiming that Tea Partiers must come from unhappy families, followed by Howard Dean still trying to make racists of all of us who disagree with him and his party, and now, the Clueless Clown Prince of the Congress, Harry Reid, opining that Americans love government.

The Chicago Machine Pumps Out A New Chief of Staff

President Obama chose William Daley as his new chief of staff yesterday, replacing Rahm Emanuel, who is leaving to run for mayor of Chicago… a job currently held by Daley’s brother Richard.  It’s comforting to know there will be no net loss of Chicago politics in the White House.

The phantasmal cloud of “Hope and Change” that hung over the Obama presidential campaign required an astonishing degree of deliberate ignorance from his supporters.  He was, after all, a product of the corrupt Chicago machine.  The idea that he would somehow transcend the insular, carnivorous nature of that city’s politics was absurd.  Far from illuminating the White House with fresh new ideas and youthful idealism, Obama has hauled a string of Windy City operators and tired old hacks to Washington.
