America is on the verge of fragmentation and civil conflict because its citizens have lost control of their government and lost faith in its political institutions.
Nineteenth century political satirist Ambrose Bierce once described Washington D.C. as a strife of interests masquerading as a contest of principles and the conduct of public affairs for private advantage.
Indeed. Not much has changed one hundred years on.
Don’t be fooled by the supposedly bipartisan effort to investigate the Obama administration’s actions after the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya. Democrats are no more serious about challenging their leader in the White House than they have ever been.
Romney should be using this as battering ram. Not only was there a successful terror attack on the anniversary of 9/11 that claimed the life of a U.S. ambassador and two former Navy SEALs, but the Obama regime flat-out lied about it to cover it up.
Yesterday there were reports that the Obama Administration found out that Al-Qaeda was behind the Benghazi consulate attacks within 24 hours of the assault that killed four Americans.
So what was their first action?Did they secure the compound? – No, that took over a week to get FBI agents to the consulate Did they acknowledge it was an Al-Qaeda attack? No, Obama this week blamed the terror attack on a YouTube protest.
Here’s what they did – They scrubbed a damning State Department memo from the internet–
President Barack Obama addressed the United Nations General Assembly and claimed the future must not belong to those who target Coptic Christians in Egypt, those who bully women, the corrupt few who steal a country’s resources, and those who slander the prophet of Islam.
House Intelligence Chairman Mike Rogers (R.-Ala.) said on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday that President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in broadcasting a television ad in Pakistan apologizing for a privately produced YouTube video that criticized Islam, had given al Qaeda and other “bad actors” a “permission slip” to do bad things.
Rogers also said there was a “high degree of probability that it is an al Qaeda or al Qaeda-affiliated group” that attacked the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, killing U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will soon be back to doing what she does best — campaigning for President Obama.
Sebelius will travel to New Hampshire this weekend for a swing of “grassroots events” with Obama, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader. The campaign trip comes after the Office of Special Counsel found that Sebelius had violated federal campaign law by campaigning for Obama during an official event.
