Obama Asserts Fast and Furious Executive Privilege Claim for Holder’s Wife

Judicial Watch announced today that it received from the Obama Department of Justice (DOJ) a “Vaughn index” detailing records about the Operation Fast and Furious scandal.  The index was forced out of the Obama administration thanks to JW’s June 2012 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request and subsequent September 2012 FOIA lawsuit (Judicial Watch v. Department of Justice (No. 1:12-cv-01510)).  A federal court had ordered the production over the objections of the Obama Justice Department.

The document details the Attorney General Holder’s personal involvement in managing the Justice Department’s strategy on media and Congressional investigations into the Fast and Furious scandal.  Notably, the document discloses that emails between Attorney General Holder and his wife Sharon Malone – as well as his mother – are being withheld under an extraordinary claim of executive privilege as well as a dubious claim of deliberative process privilege under the Freedom of Information Act.  The “First Lady of the Justice Department” is a physician and not a government employee.

The Democratic Campaign Platform: Lie to Win

American Thinker

President Obama “giftwrapped” the truth Monday, when he told Al Sharpton that Democratic candidates are lying when they distance themselves from him. The Washington Post summed it up:

lyingtoAmerica-300

Obama’s comments not only “suggested the election was indeed something of a referendum on him…but that Democratic candidates are actually on-board with him — something most of them have made pains to argue is not the case. Obama’s comments are the kind of thing Democrats might privately say to assure donors and the party base, but wouldn’t really say in public.”

In other words, straight from the mouth of one liar to another: “Do what you need to do to win.”

Obama Can Use Same Parole in Illegal Alien “Humanitarian Crisis” to Bring Ebola Patients to U.S.

JUDICIAL WATCH

The Obama administration has shunned multiple requests to respond to a disturbing report exposing its secret plan to admit Ebola-infected foreigners into the United States for treatment and now Congress has joined Judicial Watch to demand answers.

Will the administration blow off Congress the way it has Judicial Watch? In the last couple of days JW has contacted a number of  government agencies that may be involved in the backdoor plan for comment but all except one have ignored the requests, both telephonic and by electronic mail. Only the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offered a response, albeit a curt one. “We have nothing for you on that,” CDC spokeswoman Amesheia Buckner told JW this week.

Other agencies, such as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), simply discounted JW’s requests-both verbal and in writing-for comment. Specifically, the Obama administration’s goal is to bring Ebola patients into the United States for treatment within the first days of diagnosis, according to high-level sources that provided JW with details of the scheme. It includes special waivers of laws and regulations that ban the admission of non-citizens with a communicable disease as dangerous as Ebola.

Co-Founder Of Weather Channel: Climate Change Proved To Be “Nothing But A Big Lie”…

Global Warming Murder

Weasel Zippers

Via Express UK:

John Coleman, who co-founded the Weather Channel, shocked academics by insisting the theory of man-made climate change was no longer scientifically credible.

Instead, what ‘little evidence’ there is for rising global temperatures points to a ‘natural phenomenon’ within a developing eco-system.

In an open letter attacking the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, he wrote: “The ocean is not rising significantly.

“The polar ice is increasing, not melting away. Polar Bears are increasing in number.

“Heat waves have actually diminished, not increased. There is not an uptick in the number or strength of storms (in fact storms are diminishing).

“I have studied this topic seriously for years. It has become a political and environment agenda item, but the science is not valid.”

Mr Coleman said he based many of his views on the findings of the NIPCC, a non-governmental international body of scientists aimed at offering an ‘independent second opinion of the evidence reviewed by the IPCC.’

He added: “There is no significant man-made global warming at this time, there has been none in the past and there is no reason to fear any in the future.
