On the Sean Hannity Radio Show a caller named “Mike” who claimed to be a scientist and CEO of a large corporation during which he claimed that the government is in fact lying and that the disease currently causing problems in Dallas, TX and throughout West Africa is not Ebola but in fact the Marburg Virus (listen at this link towards the 24:50 mark).

Obama Just Got Hit With a Lawsuit That Could Stop Him Cold

The government watchdog group Judicial Watch has filed a lawsuit against the Obama administration for failing to comply with a Freedom of Information Act request regarding 36,000 convicted criminal illegal aliens who were released from federal custody.

The report on the release of the aliens initially came from the Centers for Immigration Studies.

 Judicial Watch’s complaint demands that any DHS emails and memoranda related to the Centers for Immigration Studies report be handed over to the public.DHS had until May 14, 2014 to honor the request. Their failure to comply resulted in the lawsuit.

The president promises to lawlessly amnesty millions of illegal aliens on his own say-so, enabling them to get work cards, Social Security numbers, driver’s licenses, EITC, foreign travel documents, and the rest. But there are executive powers that he really does possess that he’s not using. Senator Sessions has helpfully provided a number of “lawful, constitutional executive actions” that the president should already be undertaking but isn’t:

• Complete the border fence that Congress has previously passed into law;
• Create the exit-entry system to track foreign visa-holders, which Congress has repeatedly mandated;
• Cancel visas to any country that won’t take back its own citizens;
• Stop the improper issuance of billions of dollars in child tax credits to illegal immigrants,
• Enforce the currently un-enforced public charge rule for immigrants to the U.S., both legal and illegal;
• Crack down on abuse of the H-1B guest worker program that is displacing U.S. workers;
• Increase, don’t reduce, prosecutions under the proven Operation Streamline;
• Instead of suing states that are trying to enforce the law, target sanctuary cities that are defying the law; and
• Cancel all meetings with pro-amnesty groups to plot executive amnesty, and instead meet with Chris Crane, Ken Palinkas, and Chris Cabrera (of ICE, USCIS, and Border Patrol). Instead of ordering them not to do their jobs, sit down with them ask what they need to end the lawlessness and restore integrity to our nation’s immigration system.”

My colleague Jessica Vaughan points out that the president has the authority “to deny admission to any alien that has (or cannot establish to the government’s satisfaction that he or she doesn’t have) a communicable disease of public health significance.”

And Christian Adams explains that the president has even broader power than that, citing the statute that allows him to bar entry to any foreigner for any reason:

Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

So, with all these lawful executive powers, why is he ignoring them and claiming powers he does not have?

ISIS TAKES ABU GHRAIB – Within Artillery Range of Baghdad Airport

ISIS begun their assault of one of the Iraq’s largest military bases.

But only recently took control of the key cities in the region.

Islamic State militants have taken control of key cities in Iraq’s western province of Anbar and have begun to besiege one of the country’s largest military bases in a weeklong offensive that’s brought them within artillery range of Baghdad.

The Islamic State and its tribal allies have dominated Anbar since a surprise offensive last December, but this week’s push was particularly worrisome, because for the first time this year Islamist insurgents were reported to have become a major presence in Abu Ghraib, the last Anbar town on the outskirts of the capital.

“Daash is openly operating inside Abu Ghraib,” according to an Iraqi soldier, who used a common Arabic term for the Islamic State. “I was at the 10th Division base there two days ago, and the soldiers cannot leave or patrol,” he said, asking that he be identified only as Hossam because Iraqi soldiers are barred from speaking with foreign reporters. “Daash controls the streets.”

Hundreds of miles to the west, Islamic State forces continued their push into the Syrian Kurdish city of Kobane, where it appeared unlikely that Turkey would intervene to stop the advance. Kurdish officials from the town said the Turkish government had yet to respond to their pleas for weapons, and reports from the Turkish-Syrian border said there was no evidence Turkey was preparing to take action…

…A diplomat in Irbil, the capital of the autonomous Kurdistan region, said an Islamic State presence in Abu Ghraib would put Baghdad International Airport within artillery range of the militants.

“We know they have captured substantial numbers of 155 mm howitzers,” said the diplomat, whose country is participating in the U.S.-led anti-Islamic State coalition. The diplomat spoke only on the condition of anonymity, lacking permission to brief the news media. “These have a range of about (20 miles) and if they are able to hold territory in Abu Ghraib then the concern they can shell and ultimately close BIAP becomes a grave concern.”

Saturday morning American broadcast TV was once animation’s home field. Filling a cereal bowl with artificially colored sugar pebbles and staring at the tube was every kid’s weekend plan. Not any more: For the first time in 50-plus years, you won’t find any animation on broadcast this morning. It’s the end of an era.

Yes, The CW, the final holdout in Saturday morning animation, ran its last batch of Vortexx cartoons last weekend. This week,where you once saw shows like Cubix, Sonic X, Dragon Ball Z and Kai, Digimon Fusion, and Yu-Gi-Oh!, you’ll instead find “One Magnificent Morning,” a block of live-action educational programming.

It’s the end of an era, but it’s been a long time coming: NBC ditched Saturday morning cartoons in 1992, CBS followed suit not long after, and ABC lost its animated weekend mornings in 2004. The CW, a lower-tier broadcast network, was the last holdout in a game that the Big 3 left long ago.
