House Intelligence Chairman Mike Rogers (R.-Ala.) said on CNN’s  “State of  the Union” on Sunday that President Barack Obama and Secretary  of State Hillary  Clinton, in broadcasting a television ad in Pakistan  apologizing for a  privately produced YouTube video that criticized  Islam, had given al Qaeda and  other “bad actors” a “permission slip” to  do bad things.

Rogers also said there was a “high degree of probability that it is  an al  Qaeda or al Qaeda-affiliated group” that attacked the U.S.  consulate in  Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11, killing U.S. Ambassador Chris  Stevens and three  other Americans.

Sebelius to hit campaign trail again after Hatch Act violation

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will soon be back to doing what she does best — campaigning for President Obama.

Sebelius will travel to New Hampshire this weekend for a swing of “grassroots events” with Obama, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader. The campaign trip comes after the Office of Special Counsel found that Sebelius had violated federal campaign law by campaigning for Obama during an official event.

Do Americans truly understand ‘redistribution of wealth’?

The  recently uncovered tape of Obama addressing students at Loyola University in  1998 has produced an uproar.  In the tape, Obama expressed  his admiration for redistributive government programs:

I  think the trick is figuring out how do we structure government systems that pool  resources and hence facilitate some redistribution, because I actually believe  in redistribution, at least at a certain level to make sure that everybody’s got  a shot.  How do we pool resources at the same time as we decentralize  delivery systems in ways that foster competition, can work in the marketplace,  and can foster innovation at the local level and can be tailored to particular  communities?

If  he is elected, Obama’s 1998 proposition will be reality in the next four  years.
