White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Wednesday that House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) is asking Attorney General Bill Barr to “break the law” by asking for documents they have no legal authority to. Sanders said Nadler is acting absurd and should be “embarrassed” for his behavior.

“Chairman Nadler is asking the Attorney General of the United States to break the law and commit a crime by releasing information that he knows he has no legal authority to have,” Sanders said outside the White House. “It is truly outrageous and absurd and he should be embarrassed that he is behaving this way.”
