A second trailer for Michael Bay’s action thriller—or possibly documentary—about the 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya was released Tuesday.

The trailer for 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi features new action sequences and clues about the plot.

“When everything went wrong, six men had the courage to do what was right,” reads the trailer’s accompanying text.

The film is adapted from the book 13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi by Mitchell Zuckoff, which documents the heroism of six American security operators as they tried to fend off a deadly attack by an al-Qaeda offshoot.

Bay’s take on Benghazi has drawn the ire of liberal writers, many of whom already hold the “the auteur of awesome” in contempt for his populist work product.

Salon said the first trailer was a “shallow and jingoistic treatment” of an al Qaeda terrorist attack, as opposed to the infinitely-nuanced and cosmopolitan treatment the author evidently preferred. A patronizing Vox article called the trailer racist, “patronizing and dishonest.” Slate said the trailer is “baffling.”

Underlying these critics’ grave concerns is the chief concern that the film will hurt the image of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, which has finally begun to recover following her testimony before Congress and a media blitz by her campaign network.

Clinton’s defense of her handling of the Benghazi attack has been complicated by news from her testimony. Emails released by the Benghazi committee reveal that Clinton knew within hours that the attack was carried out by al Qaeda-like elements, yet she told the public that the attack was a spontaneous outgrowth of a protest of an anti-Islam video.

13 Hours will be released January 13.

 

Team Obama lied about Benghazi in order to help win the 2012 election

How come Congress can’t call a spade a spade here and simply state that the REASON Obama, Hillary, Rice, etc., falsely promoted the video as the reason for the attack on Benghazi is to lessen the negative impact of the Benghazi attack on Obama’s 2012 re-election bid?

The Benghazi attack occurred just 8 weeks before the 2012 U.S. presidential election. With Team Obama’s narrative that “GM is alive and Al Qaeda is dead”, isn’t it CLEAR that the reason they lied and failed to label the attack as a “terrorist attack” is because they felt this would harm Obama’s chances of winning the 2012 election?

Has Obama EVER said “terrorist attack”, anyway? I don’t believe he has. He prefers to say “act of terror” because this term does NOT denote any type of individual, Muslim or otherwise whereas “terrorist attack” DOES. Obama will NEVER use a term which negatively portrays Muslims in any way.

President Barack Obama sent a celebratory message to Muslims around the world on the White House Twitter account nearly two hours before his first tweet on the subject of four dead Marines killed by an Islamic gunman.

“From my family to yours, Eid Mubarak!” –@POTUS to Muslims celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr,” the White House tweeted. This message was tweeted at 4:48 p.m. according to the White House Twitter feed.

A few minutes before the posting of this article, the White House tweeted a video message, shown below, calling the shooting in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a “heartbreaking circumstance.” Others might call the incident “a terrorist attack.”

Border Union Chief on Terrorist Threat: “…I Guarantee It Will Be Worse Than 9/11″

“We don’t know who the hell is here.”

A border union chief believes without doubt that we are facing terrorist attacks worse than 9/11 because of the president’s liberal programs which allow people to come into the United States without proper vetting.

National Citizenship and Immigration Service union president, Kenneth Palinkas, said deportations are “extremely down”. The deportation program is “catch and release”, Palinkas explained.

Unless the detainee is convicted of a heinous crime and the person is an aggravated felon, they are detained for about 9 months and..”

The administration gets to decide the disposition of the case. They can no longer bring the case before a judge. As adjudicating officers, they [agents] did have the authority to bring them before an immigration judge. They can no longer do that.

Bad guys getting in is entirely possible. “Now we have homegrown terrorism and now with these other programs that the president wanted to put through, they’re not going to be properly vetted because the people that were going to do the job of vetting these people, remember it’s on an application, it’s not an interview, so you’re only going to get so much information out of that form,” Palinkas said. “You’re only going to have a form and how many documents they submit.”

Thousands of new employees will be hired and inexperienced people will be doing the vetting.

“If this goes unabated, we could be looking at something very scary,” Neil Cavuto said.

Palinkas agreed.

“Absolutely! Coming from all sides, from within and without. That’s the problem we’re faced with.”

“Worse than 9/11,” Cavuto asked.

“Absolutely, I guarantee it will be worse than 9/11,” Palinkas said without question.

“Because we don’t know who the hell is here,” Cavuto asked.

“No, we don’t,” Palinkas answered.

Applications for amnesty are a joke. The sample form below was leaked by an official from the former Border Patrol officers. I don’t know if they’ve been improved but this is where they are coming from.

From the very first moments of the terrorist attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi on September 11, 2012, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her top aides were advised that the compound was under a terrorist attack. In fact, less than two hours into the attack, they were told that the al-Qaeda affiliate in Libya, Ansar al-Sharia, had claimed responsibility.

These revelations and others are disclosed by a trove of e-mails and other documents pried from the State Department by Judicial Watch in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. The FOIA litigation focuses on Mrs. Clinton’s involvement in the government actions before, during, and after the Benghazi attack, in which Christopher Stevens, the U.S. ambassador to Libya, was murdered by terrorists. Also killed in the attack were State Department information management officer Sean Smith, and two former Navy SEALs, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, who were contract security employees and who had fought heroically, saving numerous American lives. At least ten other Americans were wounded, some quite seriously.

Report: Benghazi Consulate Terrorists Have Joined With ISIS in Libya

The Islamist group Ansar Al-Sharia claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack at the US Consulate in Benghazi before Ambassador Stevens was found dead.

This email was sent to State Department officials, White House officials, Secret Service officials at 6:07 PM EST on 9-11.

This was at least the third email sent to the White House the evening of 9-11 on the Benghazi attack.

Barack Obama was meeting with his security team in the Oval Office that evening.
The email clearly blamed Al-Qaeda linked group Ansar al-Sharia for the attack on the US consulate.
This was before the lifeless body of Ambassador Stevens was dragged from the consulate ruins.

The Obama administration later called the terror attack a “protest.”

US officials now believe Ansar Al-Sharia has joined with ISIS in Libya.

Contrary to what the Obama administration had initially claimed in its public comments, top U.S. diplomatic officials knew the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya, was under terrorist attack on September 11, 2012. This is big. In testimony before the U.S. House Oversight Committee on October 10, 2012, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Charlene Lamb let the cat out of the bag. Apparently, the agents within the Diplomatic Security Command Center in Washington, D.C., knew that U.S. embassy personnel were under a terrorist attack from the moment it began.

Paris and another mass murder in a gun-free zone.  Another incident where well-armed criminals shot at people who could only scream and watch their colleagues gunned down without mercy.

Wonder if anyone in that Paris building wished he or she had a gun to shoot back.  I’m not saying that a couple of concealed weapons would have stopped well-armed terrorists, but it could have bought a little time before the police got there.

I know that many Europeans call this “a cowboy crossfire.”  Tell that to the families of the dead – all dead because guys with guns shot innocent unarmed people working in their office.

Has Benghazi hero Glen Doherty’s family not received his benefits and insurance for the same absurd reason?

Republicans on the House Armed Services Committee will overturn one consequence of Obama’s unwillingness to recognize the terrorism of the Fort Hood attack: victims will be eligible for the Purple Heart, allowing survivors to receive better and prompter health care from the VA. More than that, every victim will get the recognition and honor due to them.

“I applaud the Members of the committee for their leadership in approving this important piece of legislation for Fort Hood and the surrounding community,” said Sen. Cornyn. “The 2009 Fort Hood victims should be eligible for all the honors and benefits available to U.S. troops who fall victim to an international terrorist attack, especially Purple Heart medals, and this would make that a reality.”

“Nearly five years have passed since the horrible tragedy at Fort Hood took the lives of 13 innocent Americans,” said Congressman Williams. “It is beyond comprehension why the current Administration has labeled this gruesome terrorist attack “workplace violence,” leaving the victims and their families without the benefits, treatment and honor they earned and deserve. This provision in the NDAA would restore the full range of deserved benefits for the victims. Though justice cannot bring back those we lost, justice can be served for the killed and injured troops whose brave actions prevented further bloodshed.

This comes at the same time that the administration is defending itself against charges that decisions were made in the Benghazi attack were animated by the same impulse – to protect Obama instead of protecting Americans.
