Team Obama Pressured Solyndra to Hide Layoffs Until After Elections

Fox Nation

The Obama administration urged officers of the struggling solar company Solyndra  to postpone announcing planned layoffs until after the November 2010 midterm  elections, newly released e-mails show.

Solyndra, the now-shuttered  California company, had been a poster child of President Obama’s initiative to  invest in clean energies and received the administration’s first energy loan of  $535 million. But a year ago, in October 2010, the solar panel manufacturer was  quickly running out of money and had warned the Energy Department it would need  emergency cash to avoid having to shut down.

The new e-mails about the  layoff announcement were released Tuesday morning as part of a House Energy and  Commerce committee memo, provided in advance of Energy Secretary Steven Chu’s  scheduled testimony before the investigative committee Thursday.

Shocker: Obama Goes Negative for 2012 Campaign

Human Events

It must be very confusing times for Barack’s Obama’s media sycophants. For years now they’ve sold their hero as the man who could transcend politics with his vision of hope, change, unicorns and sugar plum fairies, but the reality tells a much different story. The man who was to change politics forever turns out to be nothing more than an angry demagogue seemingly bent of running a scorched-earth campaign in order to keep his job.

Business leaders and employers nationwide have recoiled in horror as he’s made them the enemy and Democrats are left scratching their pointy heads in wonderment why they’re not acquiescing to Obama’s demands and hiring people. Well, if we get stuck with four more years of this failed president starting in 2013, expect America’s employment picture to become an even more bleak wasteland than it is today.

David Axelrod Blasts Oba-Media For Reporting Truth About Obama

Gateway Pundit

Things are so bad for Team O that chief consultant David Axelrod has started blasting the media for reporting the truth on Obama’s failed policies and the corruption of the regime.
Commentaryreported:

Gone are the days when all Obama had to do to charm the news media was don a pair of blue jeans. Now the Solyndra scandal has become a Jon Stewart punchline, news outlets are joining the mockery of the the AttackWatch campaign site, and even James Carville is advising the White House to panic.

David Axelrod, clearly longing for the good old days, is now blaming the media for hyping Obama’s bad month (in a memo he released to the media):

Members of the media have focused on the president’s approval ratings as if they existed in a black box.  Following the intransigence of the Republicans during the debt debate, the approval rating of the GOP brand dropped to a historic low. …

Despite what you hear in elite commentary, the president’s support among base voters and in key demographic groups has stayed strong.

You better get back in line mainstream media or no more jeans’ shots for you.

FBI raids Solyndra to bury evidence of Obama’s criminal dealings

Coach is Right

When it comes to cronyism, fraud and conspiratorial criminality,  Barack Hussein Obama has no peer. Having learned his trade in the city of Chicago,  where the theft and divvying up of taxpayer dollars among the politically connected is an art form,  Obama’s new gig as President finds him performing the same scams,  just on a larger,  more lucrative playing field.

Emails Show Solyndra Offered Obama Official Cushy Job With Company…

Weasel Zippers

Shady.

(Politico) — Solyndra officials kept obsessive watch over their press coverage while still sending glowing progress reports to the Obama administration — even as the solar manufacturer edged closer to going belly-up.

The media-massaging — revealed in emails released Wednesday — was especially frenzied before and after President Barack Obama’s May 23, 2010, trip to Solyndra’s California headquarters as the company sought to tamp down questions about its troubled finances, the U.S. solar industry’s ability to compete with China, and unionized workers who had to take a day off without pay during the visit.

Solyndra spokesman David Miller also did his share of glad-handing with the White House aides handling Obama’s trip.

“If you tire of the White House life and ever decide you want to move out with your best friends in [California] let me know,” Miller emailed to White House special assistant Johanna Maska the day after the visit. He added that “we could find you a great corporate gig very quickly.”
