Rep. Ilhan Omar refused to answer whether she supports the Islamist terrorist group al-Qaeda, at a press conference Monday.

“I will not dignify it with an answer because I know that every single Islamophobe, every single person who is hateful, who is driven by an ideology of ‘othering’ as this president is, rejoices in us responding to that and us defending ourselves,” Omar said.

“I do not expect every time there is a white supremacist who attacks or there is a white man who kills in a school or in a movie theater, or in a mosque, or in a synagogue, I don’t expect my white community members to respond on whether they love that person or not. And so I think it is beyond time, it is beyond time to ask Muslims to condemn terrorists. We are no longer going to allow the dignification of such ridiculous — ridiculous statement,” she said.

Earlier on Monday, President Trump recalled Omar’s previous comments about the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Omar still refuses to answer the question of who she believes was responsible for the attacks. Multiple requests from The Federalist for a comment from Omar have gone unanswered.

“I mean, I look at the one, I look at Omar, I don’t know her, I never met her. I hear the way she talks about al-Qaeda. Al-Qaeda has killed many Americans,” Trump said. “When she talked about the World Trade Center being knocked down, some people, you remember the famous ‘some people.’ These are people that, in my opinion, hate our country.”

Trump also tweeted out similar comments on Monday afternoon.

In a 2013 interview, Omar complained about people who think there are differences between America and al-Qaeda.

“When I was in college, I took a terrorism class,” she said. “Every time the professor said ‘al-Qaeda,’ his shoulders went up. He’d say ‘al-Qaeda’ and ‘Hezbollah.’ You don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity. You don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity.”

Omar launches bid to protect world’s terrorists from ‘tyrannical regimes’

Is there nothing Rep. Ilhan Omar won’t do to make terrorists’ lives easier?  This latest scheme she’s up to, according to CNS, is a doozy:

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and ten other House Democrats have written to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, requesting information about how information from the FBI-administered terrorist watchlist is shared with foreign governments — including governments with poor human rights records.

In doing so, she pointed to the support of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a sometimes controversial group that has mounted legal challenges against the watchlist, formally known as the Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB).

In a release Friday about the letter to Pompeo, Omar quoted CAIR national Executive Director Nihad Awad, who said the TSDB was “dangerous enough” in itself, but even more so when shared with “tyrannical regimes.”

Now, bear in mind that many of the world’s most tyrannical places — think of places such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines — have been made that way by repeated terrorist attacks.  Lawlessness and terrorist thuggery can often turn what were rising democracies into hunkered down military regimes.

So what we are seeing here is a bid from her to game the system — to use the inevitable human rights violations that occur as states try to avoid disintegration — as leverage to keep them in the dark about the actual terrorists plotting against them.  Advantage: terrorists, who are no doubt celebrating having such a lobbyist working for them on the Hill.  Human rights are great for terrorists — and never mind about the victims of terrorists.

Left unsaid most of all is that the U.S. isn’t giving innocent people’s names to these regimes, let alone the names of actual Americans — it’s giving committed global foreign terrorists’ names in what may be an imperfect but necessary bid to enable these places to fight the terrorists trying to kill them.

Omar wants these foreigners protected.

It jibes with her other shenanigans so very helpful to the terrorist-American community, such as asking for lighter sentences for the “Minnesota Men” so abundant in her district, who’ve opted to join ISIS and are in the dock for being caught.

The 9 Minnesota men charged with planning to join ISIS are scheduled to be sentenced next week. Ahead of those court dates, 13 letters were sent to Judge Michael Davis in the case of defendant Abdirahman Yasin Daud, including a letter from state Rep. Ilhan Omar, who on Election Night became with first elected Somali-American lawmaker in the nation.

Rep. Omar asked Judge Davis for “compassion” and a “restorative approach to justice,” concluding that “this ruling can set a precedent and has the potential to be a landmark case in addressing extremism.”

Nothing like letting that bunch off scot-free.

Obviously, she’s becoming quite handy for CAIR and all the other terrorist-first activists out there.  She’s not even embarrassed by the idea of being tarred by the terrorist connection, despite coming from terrorist-infested Somalia and a congressional district famous for its terrorist recruits.  If anyone brought up that creepy cozy connection, she’d protect herself from criticism by yelling “racist.”  She also has a history of Jew-hatred, same as the terrorists.  She actually seems to like the whole role of terrorist-defender.  And with more concern about terrorists’ “rights” than the acts of “some people did something,” it’s pretty obvious she’s rapidly becoming the terrorist’s best friend in Congress.

Why, again, is this person on the Democrat-led House Foreign Affairs Committee?

Funny how no one wants to look into that report that Omar married her brother…

American Thinker

You’d think they’d be all over this like tabloid papparazzi. Wild and prurient news always sells papers and draws viewer eyeballs, and the scattered reports about how America’s first Muslim congresswoman, Rep. Ilhan Omar, reportedly married her own brother in a bid to bring him into the country ahead of the others trying to get in, is quite a doozy. The press certainly got excited about the Stormy Daniels controversy for such a reason, but why the absence of interest in Omar’s kinky weird love life?

Now the fearless Michelle Malkin has taken up the case, wanting to know why this isn’t being looked into by either the press or more importantly, these law enforcers. She writes:

Investigations dating back to 2016 by blogger Scott Johnson of Power Line (which recently celebrated 15 years in the blogosphere), David North of the Center for Immigration Studies, Alpha News reporter Preya Samsundar and PJMedia.com reporter David Steinberg have determined that the outspoken Somalian Muslim refugee likely married her own brother named Ahmed Elmi in 2009 for some unknown ill-gotten gain while still informally married to the man she calls her husband and father of her three children, Ahmed Hirsi. After a Somalian website floated questions about the marriage arrangement with Elmi and Johnson’s initial reporting broke into the local news, Omar sought to divorce Elmi. Her use of $6,000 in state campaign funds, some of which went to pay a personal divorce lawyer, is currently under state investigation.

To marry her own brother, something her spokespeople brush off as nonsense and refuse to answer questions about. Actually, they ought to be answering questions, to reporters, and investigators – and they most certainly are not. Apparently we all supposed to think that Omar, with her out-there anti-Semitic views, and fourth-world background, is quite incapable of acting in a way that’s contrary to bourgeois values.

Malkin also notes that the issue itself, even outside the kink factor, has quite the potential for more serious crime:

Anyone capable of and willing to lie to federal officials in face-to-face interviews, falsify government forms under penalty of perjury, and conspire to undermine the integrity of our immigration system is a threat to our country. Terrorism is not the only concern. Other complex criminal organizations are often involved. Even nations governed by open borders loons like Canada’s Justin Trudeau take marriage fraud seriously. Last week, the government moved to strip a Chinese national of his fraudulently acquired Canadian citizenship after paying a woman $5,000 to enter a sham marriage.

We have enough native-born scam artists and fraudsters without having to import more from around the world. But you know what’s even more of an insult than an ordinary foreign marriage faker? An entitled, arrogant and unrepentant marriage faker hiding behind the “Islamophobia” and “sexism” cards. Yes, I’m looking at you, Omar.

Which again brings up the issue of why this is being ignored. The press is sleeping, to be sure, but so are the lawmen. Malkin outlines a large string of cases of marriage fraud rings being busted up by the federal authorities. But there’s not a word from them on Omar’s weird relationships.

Why is that? Is busting an obnoxious left-wing congresswoman who can’t stop wielding the victim card that politically daunting? Or is there a federal contingent that gives her a pass, one set of laws for her, and another set for everyone else?

Whatever the case, a brazen leftist who’s constantly pointingt the finger at the America that can do no good is a pretty good candidate for a probe given that she seeks to bring people in who probably feel the same way about the place that she does. And as a representative, she’s presumably a model of rule of law. If Rep. Duncan Hunter can be displaced from all of his committee assignments over an illegal use of his campaign funds for personal expenses, why can’t Omar be investigated for marrying he brother.

Malkin is right that the silence is as remarkable as the deed Omar is accused of.
