A few hours later, a 19-year-old was shot in the head on the West side. A few hours after that, a 21-year-old took a bullet during an attempted robbery on the South Side. Chicago: 446 school age children shot so far this year with strongest gun laws in country – media silent

Knowledge Creates Power

FireAndreaMitchell.com The cesspool known as Chicago probably has the toughest gun laws in the country, yet despite all the shootings, murders, and bloodshed, you never hear a peep about this from the corrupt state run media. In Chicago, there have been 446 school age children shot in leftist utopia run by Rahm Emanuel and that produced Obama, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, etc. 62 school aged children have actually been killed by crazed nuts in Chicago so far this year with almost two weeks to go. So why isn’t this news worthy? Is it because it would embarrass those anti second amendment nuts who brag about Chicago’s tough gun laws? Is it because most of the kids who were shot and killed were minorities? Or is it because the corrupt media doesn’t want to show Chicago in a bad light?

Stop Goodwin Liu

Red State

Today the United States Senate will vote on cloture in the matter of Goodwin Liu. Sixty votes are needed. Call 202-224-3121 and ask for your Senator. Tell him to oppose Goodwin Liu.

Goodwin Liu is a true radical, in favor of using the courts to redistribute wealth and impose slave reparations, among other things. He’s so radical that even Rahm Emanuel was opposed to his nomination.

According to Harry Reid (D-NV), the Democrats need Goodwin Liu on the federal bench because “the court of appeals is where law is made, and we need the finest minds in the world for that.”

There are some Senate targets to focus on in getting them to oppose cloture.

They include Sens. Alexander, Brown, Chambliss, Collins, Graham, Isakson, Kirk, McCain, Murkowski, Snowe, and Thune.

Court Boots Rahm Emanuel From Chicago Mayoral Ballot

Fox News

An appeals court in Chicago ruled Monday that Rahm Emanuel doesn’t meet the residency requirements to run for mayor of Chicago and ordered his name be pulled off the ballot. The three judge panel voted 2-1 against Emanuel.

In a major blow to Emanuel’s campaign, Monday’s ruling overturned a Cook County Circuit Court ruling that upheld a Chicago Board of Elections decision to let Emanuel run in the February 22nd election.

The court agreed with Emanuel’s contention that he met Chicago’s voter residency standard but added that wasn’t enough to allow his run for mayor.

“…a candidate must meet not only the Election Code’s voter residency standard, but also must have actually resided within the municipality for one year prior to the election, a qualification that the candidate unquestionably does not satisfy,” the ruling stated.

And the ruling may well keep Emanuel’s name off the ballot.

“We’re going to press with one less candidate for mayor,” said Langdon D. Neal, the chairman of the Board of Election Commissioners for the city of Chicago.

The residency questions stem from Emanuel’s time spent living in Washington while he served as President Obama’s chief of staff.  He resigned and moved back to Chicago in October of 2010 and almost immediately announced his candidacy for mayor.
