The Difference Between the Real World and Obama’s

Family Security Matters

I keep wondering what it must have been like to be a young student at West Point listening to their Commander in Chief’s platitudes and ignorance wash over them. West Point is where our nation’s future leaders in war receive an education in how to protect the nation by crushing our enemies, if Presidents and Congress will let them.

Unfortunately for them, this President seems to think that climate change is the nation’s biggest enemy and that a loose coalition of Islamic fanatics is the other. There was no talk of an increasingly aggressive China, a Russia that seized Crimea and would like a chunk of the Ukraine, or an Iran that got out from under some strong financial sanctions and will continue to build its own nuclear weapons no matter what Obama and other negotiators may want.

It’s an Obama World… White House Asks Parents to Monitor Kids For Signs of Terrorism

The White House recently asked parents to monitor their kids for signs of terrorism but goes to great lengths to not tie any religion to acts of violence. That would be Islamophobic.
The Daily Caller reported:

In a speech earlier this week, Lisa O. Monaco, President Barack Obama’s assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism, insisted that American parents must be vigilant because their “confrontational” children could be on the verge of becoming terrorists.

Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15.

Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Interestingly, the Harvard grad failed to mention the religion or the motive of brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the Muslim terrorists behind the Boston bombings.

In the very next paragraph, Monaco specifically noted racist and disgustingly anti-Semitic beliefs of Frazier Glenn Miller, the 73-year-old former Ku Klux Klan leader accused of gunning down three people at a Jewish Community Center in Kansas last Sunday…

Lisa O. Monaco lists a few warning signs for parents but goes out of her way not to mention Islam:

What kinds of behaviors are we talking about? For the most part, they’re not related directly to plotting attacks. They’re more subtle. For instance, parents might see sudden personality changes in their children at home—becoming confrontational. Religious leaders might notice unexpected clashes over ideological differences. Teachers might hear a student expressing an interest in traveling to a conflict zone overseas. Or friends might notice a new interest in watching or sharing violent material.

So what kind of religious leaders is she talking about? What conflict zone might she be sugggesting?

The depths of denial by this administration regarding radical Islam has gone from ridiculous to asinine. This administration’s avoidance of the truth is no longer humorous, it’s dangerous.

Georgia Business Owner Told to Take Down Flags Honoring Military

Gateway Pundit

It’s an Obama world… A Georgia business owner was told to take down several flags flying above his restaurant. They were against code.

FOX News reported:

A Georgia restaurant owner has been ordered to remove the patriotic flags flying above his eatery, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.

Darren Miller, owner of CJ’s Hot Dogs in McDonough, was cited on Friday by a code enforcement officer for flying flags above his restaurant that honor the military.

“I’m just floored.” – Darren Miller, owner of CJ’s Hot Dogs

The restaurant, Fox 5 reports, is dedicated to police officers, firefighters and those serving in the military and Miller says it’s his right to pay tribute to each group — both inside and outside his restaurant.

Three months ago, Miller put up the American flag, the Georgia state flag and banners for every branch of the military.

On Friday, he was told they have to come down.

“I’m just floored,” said Miller. “And I called the guy and asked what they’re for. And he said I’m in violation with my flags flying above my restaurant.”

City Administrator Frederick Gardiner reportedly was unaware that CJ’s was cited and later told Miller that he’s asking for the citation to be voided.

Just Shoot Me

American Thinker

These  days, it feels as if a drone has been hovering over my house, and now that it is  “legal,” as well as “ethical” and “wise” to kill American  citizens from afar, I fear for my life.

Since  our president has given new meaning to the phrase drone on and on and on,  principled opposition to a president is no longer patriotic, and patriotism  is no longer defined as fidelity to the constitution and the  nation.

Patriotism,  like truth, is now whatever Barack Obama says it is — and if he says it is  patriotic to vaporize me and any other human being standing in my vicinity —  citizen or not — then, who am I to object?

In  any case, I have for years exercised my First Amendment rights of unprincipled  opposition to a man I consider — hands down — America’s worst president. I  suppose, taking that into account, my inevitability as a target became a  foregone conclusion the day the EPA declared CO2 a pollutant. After all, I’ve  been known to exhale. In fact, some have labeled me a windbag.
