Clinton: Mosque Should Be Dedicated To Muslims Killed On 9-11

(Cairo, Egypt)  —  Former President Bill Clinton has weighed in on the controversy surrounding a mosque and Islamic community center set to be built blocks from Ground Zero in New York.

Speaking yesterday in Cairo, Egypt, Clinton said the mosque should be dedicated to the 60 Muslims who were killed in the 9-11 attacks.
Clinton also told the American Chamber of Commerce in Cairo that if the Israeli-Palestinian conflict were to finally be solved, much of the motivation for terrorism around the world would come to an end.

Akbar Ahmed, the chair of Islamic studies at American University, has advised many government officials, including General Petraeus, Richard Holbrooke, and George W. Bush. He speaks regularly on BBC and CNN, and has appeared on many U.S. shows, including Oprah and Nightline.

To oppose the “burn the Quran” event planned by Pastor Terry Jones, Ahmed wrote an editorial for CNN in which he stated:

Not only are the actions of Jones contrary to the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, but they are also against the ideals of the American Founding Fathers.

The Founding Fathers read and honored the same Quran that Jones is now seeking to burn.

After turning NYC over to the Islamists and leftist sympathizers, via endorsing their 9/11 Victory Mosque (any Muslim project called “The Cordoba Initiative” has to be just that), Dictator-in-Chief Obama believes that he has found the way to both destroy opposition to his Orwellian plans for the former United States of America and introduce OUR country’s final demise.

For attempting to do that which the Obama refuses to do (his job under the US Constitution—not George Soros and friends), the tyrant has now turned Arizona and the twenty-two other US States trying to protect their citizens over the patently corrupt (Obama’s kind of organization) United Nations as “human rights violators.”  Now disregarding the US Constitution and US law entirely—and getting away with it—The Obama and his worldwide anti-US Marxist minions have begun to divvy up the booty from that which was once America.  Note:  Despite our protests and marches, Obama believes he silenced We-the-People long ago.  Didn’t Hugo Chavez affect something similar in Venezuela?  But, let’s face the truth, folks.  Even Chavez didn’t try to destroy his OWN country.  But, considering his true birth place, neither did Obama.

On his Pajamas Express blog today, my PJM colleague and friend Michael Ledeen dug up an old article from Imam Rauf, revealing that he not only endorsed the 1979 Iranian revolution creating an Islamic theocratic state, but then turned around and advised President Obama to respect the Iranian regime’s guiding principles.

Writing in Slate, Christopher Hitchens made precisely the same point. “The more one reads through his statements,” Hitchens writes, “the more alarming it gets.” Like Ledeen, he quotes  the same passage written by Rauf in the Huffington Post back in June 2009. Explaining the so called “rule of law” espoused by Rauf, Vilayet-i-faquih, Hitchens writes:

Unbelievable. You’re not going to guess what our tax dollars are subsidizing. Actually, in this ObamaNation, maybe you will guess it. It turns out that you and I are funding the State Department to purchase and distribute copies of Feisal Abdul Rauf’s book, What’s Right With Islam: A New Vision for Muslims and the West.

Rauf is the imam behind the Ground Zero mosque and is the same imam who won’t condemn Hamas as a terrorist organization; the same imam who said on “60 Minutes” that America was an “accessory” to September 11; and, as we reported at HUMAN EVENTS, the same imam who told a college audience overseas that the United States is worse than al Qaeda.

I’m getting pretty peeved by likes of President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Time Magazine, the mainstream media and every other liberal jerk out there claiming the 70% of Americans who oppose the Ground Zero mosque are a bunch of ignorant bigots.

They speak to Americans as though we were children and are unable comprehend the difference between the freedom of religion and a $100 million stick in the eye when we see one.

They may be able to lawyer their way around the facts, but most don’t need an Ivy League education to figure out that it’s not mosques in general that Americans have a problem with, but rather a 15-story 9/11 victory monument intended to promote Sharia law that has people up in arms.

The Mosque Is About Submission Not Tolerance

The Muslim sponsors of the 11-story, $100 million Cordoba House, to be built just blocks from ground zero, claim it will serve as a bridge between Islam and the West.  But its construction is inciting a level of anger that can only serve to mute potential dialog and, most sense that its location is really meant as provocation and humiliation. On one side of the issue, supporting the mosque, are Michael Bloomberg, Barack Obama and Hamas.  On the other side, are 70% of the American people.

In a pitiful lament, a few weeks ago Bloomberg was nearly brought to tears, his voice cracking as he laid out every politically correct liberal justification for allowing a mosque to be built near ground zero.  Yet Bloomberg’s whining voice never waivers each September 11, when he joins in our new, somber national ritual to recite the names of the victims who perished when the Twin Towers collapsed at the hands of Islamic terrorists.

Jihad by any other name, is still Jihad
