Governor Says Residents Questioning Refugee Settlement Should Leave His State

We’re told that refugee resettlement is about the preservation of human dignity. But those advocating for it don’t always act in a dignified manner.

The resettlement of Somali refugees to central Minnesota has been the subject of heated debate. Some argue that refusing refugees would not be neighborly. Then comes this, from Alpha News:

Governor Mark Dayton attended a community conversation about race hosted by the St. Cloud NAACP and told people who have been questioning refugee resettlement in the central Minnesota region to “find another state.”

WJON reports the Governor’s statements, “This is a time for everybody who is a Minnesotan, a real Minnesotan to take a stand and say, ‘not in our state.’ If you are that intolerant, that much of a racist and a bigot, then find another state, they really should go somewhere else” said Dayton.

If you don’t think refugees should come, you can go. That’s the “tolerant” message from Minnesota’s Democrat governor.

About 100 Somalis rallied at the Minnesota State Capitol Saturday, demanding the release of six terror suspects.

They want the attacks against them stopped, they claimed.

Six Somali men were arrested for trying to join ISIS along with two in San Diego and another who made Twitter threats. The mothers of three of the terrorists were at the protest.

U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger admitted last Monday that they have a problem in this community.

Muslim Refugee from Somalia Is Latest Terrorist on FBI Most Wanted List

US refugee from Somalia, Liban Haji Mohamed, is the latest Muslim added to the FBI Most Wanted Terrorists list. Not only did Liban Haji Mohamed choose to go to Somalia to fight with al Shabaab, he also took a prominent role in trying to recruit people to fight for al Shabaab.

Mohamed has been missing since 2012.

A Somali-American man who came to the United States as a refugee is now the FBI’s newest “Most Wanted Terrorist” after leaving for Somalia, and a former congresswoman is asking why a bill to prevent American jihadists from re-entering the country has not been acted upon.

Liban Haji Mohamed, a naturalized U.S. citizen born in Somalia, is charged with providing material support and resources to both al-Qaida and al-Shabab, a Somalia-based terrorist organization. He is considered particularly dangerous because he worked to recruit other U.S. terrorists for al-Qaida and al-Shabab, the FBI said.

The Somali community in the United States numbers more than 110,000, with large populations in cities such as Minneapolis, Minnesota, Lewiston, Maine, San Diego, California, and Columbus, Ohio, among others where they have been resettled through the United Nations refugee program.

Mohamed, 29, lived in Alexandria, Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C., and worked as a cab driver in the northern Virginia suburbs, the FBI said. He left the country on or about July 5, 2012, to join the ranks of al-Shabab’s jihadist fighters in Somali, according to a statement posted Jan. 29 on the FBI’s website.

The FBI added this on its newest most wanted terrorist.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced today the addition of Liban Haji Mohamed to the Most Wanted Terrorists list. Liban Haji Mohamed has been charged by complaint with providing material support and resources to a designated terrorist organization. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Mohamed.

Liban Haji Mohamed is wanted in connection with providing material support to Harakat Shabaab Al-Mujahidin, also known as al Shabaab, and al Qaeda. Al Shabaab is a Somali-based insurgent and terrorist group whose senior leadership is believed to have trained and fought in Afghanistan. Al Shabaab has claimed responsibility for many bombings in Somalia and Uganda and is known to have recruited westerners. The U.S. Department of State designated al Qaeda as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) in 1999, and al Shabaab as an FTO in 2008. Mohamed was a close associate of convicted terrorist Zachary Chesser, who was sentenced in February 2011, to 25 years in prison for attempted material support to al Shabaab.

Liban Haji Mohamed is a Somali-born naturalized U.S. citizen. Traveling with his U.S. passport, Mohamed is believed to have left the U.S. on or about July 5, 2012, with the intent to join al Shabaab in East Africa. On July 16, 2012, Interpol, the world’s largest international police organization, issued a blue notice for Mohamed in order to collect additional information about his identity, location, and activities in relation to crime. On August 15, 2014, Interpol issued a red notice to seek Mohamed as a wanted fugitive.

Minnesota is monitoring 48 travelers who have returned from Ebola infected West Africa.
Already 12 of the individuals, or 1 in 4, have gone missing.

Forty-eight travelers who have returned to Minnesota from Ebola-stricken nations in West Africa are being monitored by state health officials for 21 days to make sure they don’t have any signs of the deadly virus, the Minnesota Department of Health reported Wednesday.

All the travelers are considered low risk, according to the Health Department, meaning they might have been visiting relatives in Liberia, Guinea or Sierra Leone but never came in contact with an Ebola case. None was in the “some” or “high” risk categories of medical or relief workers who had potential contact with an infected patient’s blood, saliva or other bodily fluids.

Voluntary monitoring involves twice-daily phone calls between state health officials and the travelers…

…Wednesday’s report cited an additional 12 people who either returned recently and still are being contacted, or haven’t been located yet because of inadequate or incorrect contact information.

Obama Admin To Sue Minnesota Town For “Religious Discrimination” After Rejecting Proposed New Mosque…

The U.S. Department of Justice plans to sue the city of St. Anthony for rejecting a proposed Islamic center in 2012.

Federal authorities recently sent the city notice of their intent to sue, and U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger is expected to announce the civil rights lawsuit alleging religious discrimination at a news conference at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

The St. Anthony City Council met with its attorney behind closed doors on Aug. 18 to discuss the threat of litigation. Mayor Jerry Faust said the city turned over documentation on the matter to federal authorities more than a year ago.

“They’ve taken a lot of records of ours. I am sure that’s what it’s about,” Faust said. “We have to give them all of our e-mails.”

The U.S. attorney’s office in Minneapolis has spent two years investigating the matter, with its spokeswoman saying at one point they had sought to reach an out-of-court agreement with the parties.

In June 2012, the St. Anthony City Council voted down the proposed Abu Huraira Islamic Center, concluding that a religious and cultural center was incompatible with the site’s light-industrial zoning. The council’s 4-1 decision went against a city planning commission recommendation to approve the 15,000-square-foot center in the old Medtronic headquarters at 3055 Old Highway 8. […]

The Minnesota Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations asked federal authorities to investigate whether the city violated the federal Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act of 2000(RLUIPA).

Britani ranted: “These kuffar getting out of hand, dare they touch a Muslimah. I call upon any brother to take up a knife and kill as they did [in] Colchester. Muslim sister killed by kuffar in UK. Allahu Mustahan [Allah is the one whose help is sought]. Where is the outcry by media? oh yeah she was a Muslim.”

Rapidly growing support for the “Repeal Amendment” –  a proposed constitutional amendment that would allow a vote by two-thirds of the states to repeal an act of Congress —  symbolizes the intense level of anger Americans have with Washington, according to observers.

In September, Virginia stood alone as the only state where leaders in the state legislature had shown an interest in passing the amendment, but that number has now grown to nine states.
