Steven Brill is raising $6 million to launch News Guard. This new service will rate news sites on their trustworthiness from green to red. Forget politically unbiased algorithms. The ratings will be conducted by “qualified, accountable human beings” from teams of “40 to 60 journalists.” Once upon a time, journalism meant original writing. Now it means deciding which original writing to censor.

“Can trust be monetized?” The Street’s article on News Guard asks. But it isn’t really trust that’s being monetized. It’s censorship. It’s doing the dirty work that Google and Facebook don’t want to do.

I suspect liberal media interest in the Clinton email scandal will fade, but the public interest will remain high in securing accountability under the rule of law. Indeed, the day before the election, Judicial Watch lawyers were in federal court again pushing for Clinton email discourse in a key Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit seeking emails sent or received by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in her official capacity during her tenure as secretary of state.

The State Department has been producing Clinton email recovered by the FBI under a September 23, 2016, court order issued by U.S. District Court Judge James E. Boasberg.  The State Department confirmed in September that the FBI turned over to the State Department at least 15,000 new Clinton emails as a result of Judicial Watch’s litigation seeking all of Clinton’s work-related emails.

At the hearing, we found out that the FBI also turned over 31,000 other Clinton documents to the State Department. State suggested the court should wait as long as five years to see them.  Obviously, the State Department is slow-walking the release of Hillary Clinton’s deleted and hidden emails.  Ironically, this Clinton/Obama State Department stonewalling has guaranteed that the Clinton email scandal won’t be resolved for years.

Geraldo Rivera on Saturday’s (November 12) airing of Fox and Friends made a lengthy and impassioned appeal for a general presidential pardon of Hillary Clinton for any and all wrongdoings, eloquently urging President-Elect Trump to be “magnanimous” and “heal the nation’s wounds” by forgiving and pursuing no investigations of the Clintons.  Then, literally in the next breath, liberal TV journalist Rivera called for an investigation of Trump and Wikileaks to establish if he stole the election by conspiring with Russia.

Hillary must be investigated.

If only to debunk the false narrative concocted by the Left, the liberal media, and Hillary herself that she is an innocent victim, stabbed in the back by evil Trump, who is supposed to be (absurdly) some kind of Russian Manchurian Candidate-Hillary must be investigated.

Failure to investigate Hillary will not bind the nation’s wounds and heal the deep divisions.  Obama and Hillary specialize in the politics of division and hatred.  The Left and the liberal media are already trying to do everything they can to delegitimize an incoming Trump Administration-including rioting in the streets.

If there are no investigations, the liberal mainstream media will confer victimhood status on Hillary, will lie that she is a martyr of Trump and his racist allies that stole the election-and half of America will believe them.  Let Hillary off the hook and this will be the only story on TV every day of a Trump Administration.

The liberal media and Republican party elites erupted today after Donald Trump announced his plan to ban Muslim immigrants from the US until the government can assure it is safe to do so.

But Democrat Jimmy Carter did the same thing, and much more during the Iranian hostage crisis.

During the Iranian hostage crisis, Carter issued a number of orders to put pressure on Iran. Among these, Iranians were banned from entering the United States unless they oppose the Shiite Islamist regime or had a medical emergency.

Here’s Jimmy “Hitler” Carter saying it back in 1980.

Fourth, the Secretary of Treasury [State] and the Attorney General will invalidate all visas issued to Iranian citizens for future entry into the United States, effective today. We will not reissue visas, nor will we issue new visas, except for compelling and proven humanitarian reasons or where the national interest of our own country requires. This directive will be interpreted very strictly.

Apparently barring people from a terrorist country is not against “our values” after all. It may even be “who we are”. Either that or Carter was a racist monster just like Trump.

Tony Rezko Released From Prison – AP ‘Forgets’ to Mention He’s Linked to Obama

The ad revealed Barack Obama’s dealings with convicted felon and close family friend Tony Rezko.

The ad detailed Obama’s relationship with the Chicago crook.
Fortunately for Obama, the liberal media refused to do its job and protected Obama from any honest attacks during the campaign.

In 2011 Tony Rezko was sentenced to 10.5 years in prison for a kickback scheme that involved the Teacher’s union.

On Tuesday Tony Rezko was released from prison and transferred to a halfway house.
The AP “forgot” to mention that he was connected to Barack Obama.

Antoin “Tony” Rezko was convicted in 2008 of fraud, money laundering and plotting to squeeze more than $7 million from companies seeking to do state business during Blagojevich’s tenure. Rezko was sentenced to 10 1/2 years in prison. He was also serving time for fraud over the bogus sale of his pizza restaurants.

U.S. Bureau of Prisons Ed Ross says Rezko was furloughed Tuesday from the Federal Correctional Center in Pekin to a halfway house outside Chicago.

Rezko attorney Joe Duffy told the Chicago Tribune the Bureau of Prisons concluded Rezko had been a model prisoner and released him “so he can start transitioning back into society.”

Liberal Media Work With Jihadists

It’s strange that the liberals in the media who always complain about Joe McCarthy once having a list of communists in government are so quick to cite the Southern Poverty Law Center’s list of so-called right-wing extremists or “haters.”

With the help of the media, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is setting people up for terrorist attacks inside the United States. Pamela Geller is the latest on the list of the SPLC that has now been targeted for death by the jihadists. ISIS says “…we will send all our Lions to achieve her slaughter.”

ISIS is angry that Geller, an opponent of jihad, has defended the First Amendment right of free speech against Islamic Sharia law.

In response, ISIS tried to massacre people at Geller’s Muhammad cartoon contest in Texas on Sunday. Two terrorists were killed and an unarmed security guard protecting the event was shot in the leg.

It’s an open secret that ISIS can get locations for its targets from the SPLC website. That’s how homosexual militant Floyd Corkins discovered the location of the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. and showed up at its headquarters, opening fire on a security guard. He had hoped to conduct a massacre of FRC staff.

Liberal Media Finally Notices Real Unemployment Under Obama Is Still Above 10%

The number that’s released by the Labor Department, the 5.6% unemployment number, does not count the millions of people who were unable to find a job gave up looking for work.

Here’s something that many Americans — including some of the smartest and most educated among us — don’t know: The official unemployment rate, as reported by the U.S. Department of Labor, is extremely misleading.

Right now, we’re hearing much celebrating from the media, the White House and Wall Street about how unemployment is “down” to 5.6%. The cheerleading for this number is deafening. The media loves a comeback story, the White House wants to score political points and Wall Street would like you to stay in the market.

None of them will tell you this: If you, a family member or anyone is unemployed and has subsequently given up on finding a job — if you are so hopelessly out of work that you’ve stopped looking over the past four weeks — the Department of Labor doesn’t count you as unemployed. That’s right. While you are as unemployed as one can possibly be, and tragically may never find work again, you are not counted in the figure we see relentlessly in the news — currently 5.6%. Right now, as many as 30 million Americans are either out of work or severely underemployed. Trust me, the vast majority of them aren’t throwing parties to toast “falling” unemployment.

There’s another reason why the official rate is misleading. Say you’re an out-of-work engineer or healthcare worker or construction worker or retail manager: If you perform a minimum of one hour of work in a week and are paid at least $20 — maybe someone pays you to mow their lawn — you’re not officially counted as unemployed in the much-reported 5.6%. Few Americans know this.

Yet another figure of importance that doesn’t get much press: those working part time but wanting full-time work. If you have a degree in chemistry or math and are working 10 hours part time because it is all you can find — in other words, you are severely underemployed — the government doesn’t count you in the 5.6%. Few Americans know this.
