This could be a huge win for supporters of the 2nd Amendment.
Kentucky State Rep. Diane St. Onge recently filed House Bill 13 (HB13) with language that instructs the Kentucky House, “to take all appropriate action to safeguard Kentuckian’s rights to possess firearms in accordance with the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States and Section 1 of the Constitution of Kentucky.” (H/T ShallNot)
A bill of this magnitude that utilizes the anti-commandeering doctrine, which can be described as a legal doctrine formulated under several Supreme Court cases to refuse to help the feds enforce federal law, could be the much needed spark that starts the fire needed for more state houses to file and introduce similar legislation to protect American’s right to bear arms, and to allow states to make the rules without federal intervention.
St. Onge’s bill will nullify federal gun laws on the books for the state of Kentucky, which is shown in the bill language below:
I think we all know if she were elected this is exactly what would happen…
Via Capitol City Project:
Yesterday, James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas Action released a video showing campaign staffers of U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes admitting she’s deceiving voters on her energy plan. They promised if she were elected, she’d destroy the coal industry in Kentucky despite publicly “supporting” it.
Now, a newly released second video shows a real estate mogul and top donor to Democrats saying, “She’s going to f**k em as soon as she gets elected.”
“Investigators secretly record video at Grimes fundraising event attended by Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, real estate tycoon Niko Elmaleh and New York Knicks owner James Dolan at a swanky NY restaurant,” writes Project Veritas.
Kudos to Fr. Jim Sichko and the parishioners of St. Mark’s Church. The Islamic State painted the ن on the door of the homes of Christians in Mosul to mark them for extortion (as per Qur’an 9:29) or extermination. Christians and all free people worldwide should be standing in solidarity with those persecuted Christians, but St. Mark’s is unfortunately in quite rare company: most Catholics (and Christians in general) would never dream of taking on this symbol, as it might harm their precious and spectacularly unproductive “dialogue” with Muslims, and could even be construed as “Islamophobic.” Heaven forfend!
“Special Symbol At Richmond Church Shines Light On World Issue,” Lex18.com, August 5, 2014:
A special symbol on the door of a Richmond Catholic church has people around the world talking.
It’s a symbol that shines brightly on the door of St. Mark Church, piquing the interest of many and sparking conversations far beyond Kentucky.
The symbol – the Aramaic symbol for the letter “n,” which means Nazarean – was placed on the door Thursday evening.
As a University of Kentucky fan, there are just some things you just don’t do and one thing is compare Kentucky to Duke or mistake Duke for Kentucky. A True Blue Kentucky Fan would know this. There is only one reason that I would side with Duke and that reason is, if Duke was playing …………..al-Qaeda.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Sen. Mitch McConnell’s latest campaign video hit all the necessary Kentucky high points: horse racing, bluegrass — and Duke basketball?
The campaign was scrambling Tuesday morning to remove an online video that features a split-second clip of Duke basketball players celebrating their 2010 national championship.
