Mysterious Explosions Remind Iran That Mossad Neither Slumbers Nor Sleeps

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh claims a great “victory” in Gaza, and Iran’s Supreme Leader similarly gloats over the lesson the “axis of resistance” has taught the Zionists. Both men are hallucinating, overlooking the reality that Hamas’ weapons stockpiles, especially its rockets, have been greatly depleted, much of its extensive tunnel network has been destroyed, its command-and control centers, intelligence offices, weapons warehouses, all razed to the ground. During the 11-day conflict, the IDF destroyed more than 6,500 terrorist targets, including Hamas and PIJ operational headquarters, weapon production sites and arsenals, and over 100 kilometers (62 miles) of Hamas’ infamous grid of terror tunnels. At least 225 terrorists were killed in the strikes, including 25 senior Hamas and PIJ commanders. The Israeli military predicts that it will be many years – some say it could be as many as 10 years – for Hamas to return to its prewar strength.

Meanwhile, Israel’s Mossad neither slumbers nor sleeps. A few days after Israel announced it had shot down an Iranian armed drone on its border with Jordan, the world learned of a mysterious explosion at an Iranian drone factory in Isfahan. The report is here: “Report: Facility in Iran Used for Drone Manufacturing Hit by Explosion That Injured Nine, Days After Israel Downs Iranian UAV,” by Sharon Wrobel, Algemeiner, May 24, 2021:

An explosion was reported at a complex in Iran that houses a drone factory, several days after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu unveiled to European foreign ministers parts from an Iranian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that had been downed during clashes with the Hamas militant group.

The explosion, which reportedly occurred on Sunday at a petrochemical factory complex in Isfahan, injured at least nine workers. According to The Guardian, the Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company (HESA), which it said is located in the complex owned by Sepahan Nargostar Chemical Industries, produces a variety of aircraft and drones for Iranian and pro-Iranian forces.

Iran has not provided any information on the source of the explosion or the extent of the damage to the factory. The incident comes after Netanyahu revealed on Thursday that during the hostilities with the Hamas, “Iran sent an armed drone from Iraq or Syria, which our forces intercepted on the border between Israel and Jordan, and that I think says everything on the true patron of terror in the Middle East and in the world: Iran.”

During the conflict, the Israeli army also shot down a so-called armed suicide drone carrying explosives, launched by the Hamas at Israeli territory….

Do you have any doubt that Mossad was behind the attack on Iran’s drone factory? The “mysterious explosion” came just a few days after Israel had shot down an Iranian drone on its border with Jordan. It also came just as Yossi Cohen, Mossad’s spectacularly successful director, is turning over his duties to his successor, David Barnea; possibly this drone factory explosion was Cohen’s last hurrah, a way of reminding Iran that while Israel was for 11 days focused on trouncing Hamas in Gaza, Iran was always in Mossad’s thoughts.

A day later (that is, the day after the drone factory explosion), there was another mysterious explosion, this one at an oil refinery on the coast. The report on that second likely act of Israeli sabotage is here: “Iran: Large fire reported at oil refinery, day after drone factory blast,” by Tzvi Joffre, Jerusalem Post, May 25, 2021:

A large fire was reported at the Kangan Petro Refining Co. (KPRC) in southern Iran along the coast of the Persian Gulf on Monday, just a day after an explosion reportedly impacted a drone factory in the center of the country.

According to Iranian media, a fire at the waste warehouse at KPRC was contained and extinguished within an hour and no operational units were damaged. No injuries were reported in the fire….

The Iranian government, experience has shown, routinely under-reports its own casualties and minimizes the damage inflicted on its facilities by Mossad. The public may never know how extensive the damage was done to the drone factory or to the oil refinery or to many other targets of “mysterious attacks” that have plagued Iran during the last decade with ever greater frequency. But Mossad – which I think Is almost certainly to have been responsible both for this oil refinery fire and for the explosion at the drone factory just the day before – has reminded Iran’s government, yet again, of what Israel’s extensive network of agents in Iran can do.

And on May 26, Iranian state media reported on still a third explosion, this one at an oxygen pipeline in a petrochemical plant in Assaluyeh on Iran’s Gulf coast. There was no mention of its cause.

In these three cases, the Iranians surely know who is responsible. But they don’t want to talk about Mossad’s exploits. They’ll try to accentuate the positive by, for example, continuing to hail the crushing defeat of Hamas in the 11-day war as a “great victory.” But they’ve been badly rattled.

A parting word of advice to the Supreme Leader: “Those who watch over Israel neither slumber nor sleep.”

Reminder: Jimmy Carter Is Our Worst Ex-President

Joe Scarborough is Wrong. Jimmy Carter Is Our Worst Ex ...

The Federalist

By

At the age of 95, Jimmy Carter is now the longest-living U.S. president in history. “Great men are a dime a dozen,” MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough noted on the former president’s birthday. “Jimmy Carter has always been something far greater than that. He has lived his life as a good man. And that is exactly what America needs right now.”

Now, I realize the Trump-obsessed Scarborough is attempting to juxtapose the former president with the present one. But the canonization of Carter has always been transparent revisionism. Habitat for Humanity or not, the world would have been a far better place had Carter retired from the world stage after his presidency. Carter’s post-presidency is a stark reminder, in fact, that “good” personal decorum doesn’t necessarily translate into “good” political actions.

“Great men” do not, as Carter has his entire post-presidential life, use freelance diplomacy abroad to undermine elected American governments. They do not coddle and legitimize tyrants and murderers around the world. They do not undercut liberalism by allowing despots to use them as props. It is one thing to meet with detestable characters as president — diplomacy and American interests often dictate it — but it is quite another to ally yourself with them as a free man. Yet, that’s what Carter has done for 40 years.

Carter was the first, and only, ex-president to visit communist Cuba. “I look forward to this opportunity to meet with Cuban people from all walks of life and to talk with President Castro,” Carter claimed. While there, Carter would spin fantasies about Cuba’s “superb systems of health care and universal education,” while offering perfunctory attention to the hundreds of political prisoners who were, as he tossed around a baseball with Castro, being imprisoned and tortured.

Then again, there are few communist strongmen who haven’t sung Carter’s praises. Before the socialist cratering of Venezuela, Carter had been one of Hugo Chavez’s most important international allies. In a speech at the Carter Center, three weeks before Venezuelans voted in 2012, the former president noted that “of the 92 elections that we’ve monitored, I would say the election process in Venezuela is the best in the world.” (You won’t be surprised, I suspect, to learn that the United States was “one of the worst” because it allowed all citizens to spend money on campaigns.)

Numerous international pro-democracy groups disagreed with Carter’s assessment. In Venezuela, Chavez was the only one with access to unlimited funds — not to mention the state’s infrastructure and media — while anyone who opposed him was cowed into silence lest they lose their property and be deported. Carter, like many others these days, forgets there’s a lot more to liberalism than voting.

It must have been a tragic blow to the opposition to have watched a former American president, one endlessly celebrated by liberals in his own country, preemptively endorsing the authority of Chavismo. After a 45-minute chat with Carter, Chavez, just “as Fidel says,” called the former president “a man of honor.”

He wasn’t alone. Nicaragua communist Daniel Ortega, an ally since Carter helped him establish a Sandinista dictatorship in 1979, surely agreed. As did Haitian military martinet Raoul Cedras. As did strongman Joaquin Balaguer, who won another term in the Dominican Republic in 1990 after Carter ignored widespread fraud.

It was Carter, who takes far too much credit for the Camp David Accords, who “monitored” the 2006 Palestinian elections in which Hamas toppled the ruling Fatah in Gaza. Not only did Carter legitimize Hamas’ theocrat rule, he argued the only way toward a genuine peace was recognition of the terror group by the international community.

The Great Man has always had a soft spot for the murders of Israeli citizens. As Douglas Brinkley described it, Carter’s “fondness” for the godfather of modern terrorism, Yasser Arafat, “transcended politics, based on their emotional connection and the shared belief that they were both ordained to be peacemakers by God.”

Yet, not even after Hamas had begun tossing Arafat’s Fatah officials off rooftops and summarily executing them in the streets did Carter change his mind. Even today, as Hamas targets civilians and murders American citizens, Morning Joe’s hero argues that the group deserves “legitimacy as a political actor” because it is “committed” to peace.

The most consequential of Carter’s meddling, though, was his “brokering” of a disastrous deal with North Korea in 1994. Carter actively undercut the Clinton administration’s international efforts to stop the dictatorship from attaining nuclear weapons. The former president, who was not empowered to make any agreements, struck one with Kim Il Sung, and then publicly released it to pressure the administration. Carter would admit as much, explaining, “I hoped that it would consummate a resolution of what I considered to be a very serious crisis.”

Talk about Logan Act violation. One Clinton aide called Carter’s actions “near traitorous.” The mess you see now is, in part, the result of Carter’s handiwork.

So, at worst, Carter is a knowing supporter of bad actors, and at best, a naïve moral relativist. Bruce Klingner argues that the former president “habitually adopts a value-neutral, even-handed treatment of all countries, ignoring the reality that some are belligerents and others are victims.” This seems charitable framing for a man who was once the leader of the world’s most powerful nation. Whatever the case, no modern ex-president has been more destructive to the interests of liberalism.

A good man, maybe? A great one?  No way.

16 Democrat presidential contenders have endorsed CAIR

American Thinker

By Thomas Lifson

The Democratic Party of 2018 is aligning itself with the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), “an organization identified by the Justice Department as an ‘entity’ of the Muslim Brotherhood linked to pro-Hamas operations in the U.S.”  Ryan Mauro of The Clarion Project has totaled up the list of Democrats likely running for their party’s presidential nomination who have endorsed this organization, an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terror finance trial.

This is not your father’s Democratic Party.

It is a daunting line-up, including many of those regarded as frontrunners.

  • Senator Kamala Harris
  • Senator Cory Booker
  • Senator Kirsten Gillibrand
  • Senator Amy Klobuchar
  • Senator Sherrod Brown
  • Former A.G. Eric Holder
  • Billionaire Tom Steyer
  • California’s Rep. Eric Swalwell
  • Maryland’s Rep. John Delaney
  • Ohio’s Rep. Tim Ryan
  • Former governor Bob Casey
  • Former governor Martin O’Malley
  • Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend
  • Senator Michael Bennet
  • Senator Chris Murphy
  • Massachusetts’s Rep. Seth Moulton

American Jews continue to support Democrats by a huge margin.  They are fools.

Qatar Hires DC Lobby Part of the Swamp

Founders Code

At least there is a FARA filing.

Qatar is a hub for harboring terrorists and funding terror organizations. Recently, Gulf States with Saudi Arabia in the lead have isolated Qatar for these exact reasons.

Yesterday, this site published an article about the historical details of Qatar’s relationship with manifesting global terror.

Avenue Strategies was founded by former Trump campaign advisor Corey Lewandowski. The first clients were Citgo and Puerto Rico were among their first clients. He has since left the company, but the placeholder remaining are opportunists that apparently are dismissing the terror facts for money in their own pockets. Citgo is headquartered in Houston, Texas, but is “owned by the leftist government of Venezuela.” Citgo took out a loan from Russian state-owned oil giant, Rosneft in December 2016 that it has been unable to pay. It is under threat of a takeover by Rosneft.

At Avenue Strategies, there are names like Barry Bennett who previously worked for Ben Carson and Rick Perry. Then there is George Birnbaum who worked for Alfonse D’Amato, Charlie Crist and top leaders in Israel. Add in Ed Brookover, who worked for Ben Carson, John Boehner and Michelle Bachmann as well as leaders from various foreign countries. Bud Cummins is the last strategist who worked for Mike Huckabee’s campaign.

As you continue reading, remember, Qatar has a nasty historical connection to terror and has no plan to prosecute terrorists or to stop funding them including Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, much less the Taliban. Testimony on the Hill regarding Qatar was hosted on July 27, 2017 and much of that testimony summary is found here.

HAMAS, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Islamic State

Family Security Matters

by CHRISTOPHER HOLTON

New developments in the Middle East are focusing attention on the Muslim Brotherhood’s role in Jihadist terrorism.

These new developments are particularly important because there is legislation in Congress aimed at designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO):

https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/senate-bill/68/text?format=txt

There should be no controversy over the designation of the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization. The Muslim Brotherhood is in fact the forerunner of all Sunni Jihadist organizations.

U.S. Airlines Must Not Appease Hamas Doing Business as CAIR

Secure Freedom Minute fsm logo

SECURE FREEDOM MINUTE

Increasingly, America’s airlines are being sued by Muslim plaintiffs who claim they have faced discrimination because of their faith and/or their appearance.

Interestingly, these plaintiffs all seem to be represented by the Council on American Islamic Relations, better known as CAIR.

While CAIR purports to be a “civil rights” group, a new book by the Center for Security Policy demonstrates that it is actually a front for the designated terrorist group, Hamas. So, CAIR routinely engages in what amounts to “lawfare” and other acts of political warfare to force Americans to submit to the totalitarian code the Islamists call Sharia.

Before any airlines settle with CAIR and its clients, they should understand that doing so effectively rewards the stealthy jihadists – and can only encourage more of their supremacist aggression.

“Follow the money” – that fundamental rule for investigating organized crime – also holds true for uncovering terrorist organizations. But if the search leads to your own doorstep, immediate and decisive action must be taken.

This may be the case for the U.S. government in light of recent statements by Mahmoud Abbas, the current president of the Palestinian Authority. The 81-year-old Abbas, who has been president since 2005, is calling for unifying the Fatah party government with Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip. President Bill Clinton’s executive order first labeled Hamas as a foreign terrorist organization in 1995.

Hamas was included among terrorist groups whose “grave acts of violence … disrupt the Middle East peace process [and] constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States.”

The State Department followed that up by labeling Hamas as a foreign terrorist organization in 1997. Those actions make it prohibited by law for any U.S. citizen to provide material support, including currency, to the organization. That means that if you or I gave a dollar to them or their pseudo charities, we can go to prison.

Obama – It was You

Mike Gallagher, the 8th most recognized talk radio personality in the country, is heard by over 2.25 million listeners weekly. He compiled and wrote the following essay entitled, “Obama: It was You.”

   President Obama:

This is why you didn’t go to France to show solidarity against the Muslim terrorists:

      ·   It was you who spoke these words at an Islamic dinner -“I am one of you.”

      ·   It was you who on ABC News referenced -“My Muslim faith “

      ·   It was you who gave $100 million in U.S. taxpayer funds to re-build foreign mosques.

      ·   It was you who wrote that in the event of a conflict-“I will stand with the Muslims .”

      ·   It was you who assured the Egyptian Foreign Minister that -“I am a Muslim .”

      ·   It was you who bowed in submission before the Saudi King.

      ·   It was you who sat for 20 years in a Liberation Theology   Church condemning Christianity and professing Marxism.

      ·   It was you who exempted Muslims from penalties under Obamacare that the rest of us have to pay.

      ·   It was you who purposefully omitted – “endowed by our Creator ” – from your recitation of The Declaration Of Independence.

      ·   It was you who mocked the Bible and Jesus Christ’s Sermon On The Mount while repeatedly referring to the ‘HOLY’ Qur’an.

      ·   It was you who traveled the Islamic world denigrating the United States Of America .

      ·   It was you who instantly threw the support of your

administration behind the building of the Ground Zero Victory mosque overlooking the hallowed crater of the World Trade   Center.

      ·   It was you who refused to attend the National Prayer Breakfast, but hastened to host an Islamic prayer breakfast at the White House.

      ·   It was you who ordered Georgetown Univ. and Notre Dame to shroud all vestiges of Jesus Christ BEFORE you would agree to go there to speak, but in contrast, you have NEVER requested the mosques you have visited to adjust their decor.

      ·   It was you who appointed anti-Christian fanatics to your Czar Corps.

      ·   It was you who appointed rabid Islamists to Homeland Security.

      ·   It was you who said that NASA’s “foremost mission” was an outreach to Muslim communities.

      ·   It was you who as an Illinois Senator was the ONLY individual who would speak in favor of infanticide.

      ·   It was you who were the first President not to give a Christmas Greeting from the White House, and went so far as to hang photos of Chairman Mao on the WH tree.

      ·   It was you who curtailed the military tribunals of all Islamic terrorists.

      ·   It was you who refused to condemn the Ft. Hood killer as an Islamic terrorist.

      ·   It is you who has refused to speak-out concerning the horrific executions of women throughout the Muslim culture, but yet, have submitted Arizona to the UN for investigation of hypothetical human-rights abuses.

      ·   It was you who when queried in India refused to acknowledge the true extent of radical global Jihadists, and instead profusely praised Islam in a country that is 82% Hindu and the victim of numerous Islamic terrorists assaults.

      ·   It was you who funneled $900 Million in U.S.taxpayer dollars to Hamas.

      ·   It was you who ordered the USPS to honor the MUSLIM holiday with a new commemorative stamp.

      ·   It was you who directed our UK Embassy to conduct outreach to help “empower” the British Muslim community.

      ·   It was you who funded mandatory Arabic language and culture studies in Grammar schools across our country.

      ·   It is you who follows the Muslim custom of not wearing any form of jewelry during Ramadan.

      ·   It is you who departs for Hawaii over the Christmas season so as to avoid past criticism for NOT participating in seasonal WH religious events.

      ·   It was you who was uncharacteristically quick to join the chorus of the Muslim Brotherhood to depose Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak, formerly America’s strongest ally in North Africa; but, remain muted in your non-response to the Brotherhood led slaughter of Egyptian Christians.

      ·   It was you who appointed your chief adviser, Valerie Jarrett, an Iranian, who is a member of the Muslim Sisterhood, an off-shoot of the Muslim Brotherhood.

      ·   It was you who said this country is not a Christian nation.

The unfair media bias

Family Security Matters

The willful blindness of the Western media and intellectual elites to Palestinian incitement and their hyper-focus on any incident they can use to portray Israel in a negative light were on abundant display last week when footage emerged of an Israel Defense Forces soldier shooting a wounded and disarmed Palestinian terrorist.

Since then, The New York Times and The Washington Post have run no fewer than 16 stories about the incident. This volume of coverage reinforces the patently mendacious Israel-is-evil “narrative” promoted by the mainstream media, the liberal elites in bed with Palestinian and jihadist killers, the demonstrably one-sided United Nations, and the sanctimonious rants of several congressional leaders who claim they are speaking out in the name of human rights.

Meanwhile, these same news outlets consistently fail to speak out against the massive and ongoing denial of human rights, suppression of basic freedoms and daily torture meted out to any Palestinian dissident by both the Palestinian Authority and Hamas. Many of these violations have been investigated and documented in horrific detail by the courageous Palestinian human rights advocate Bassam Eid.

Breaking from the U.S., the U.K. Condemns the Muslim Brotherhood, Calling It a Terrorist Group

Family Security Matters

Following an intensive 18-month governmental study, the United Kingdom issued a startling indictment of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). It described the organization as fiercely anti-democratic, openly supportive of terrorism, dedicated to establishing an Islamist government, and opposed to the rule of law, individual liberty, and equality.

We use the word “startling” not because this is news but because, in such a politically correct world, it took guts for a world leader to acknowledge the obvious about a movement that purports to represent more than a billion people. If anyone at all – in particular our own president, former secretary of state, and high priesthood of political correctness, the New York Times – had simply bothered to read the Brotherhood’s own words, they would have inescapably reached the same conclusion.
