UN Will Create International Tribunal of Climate Justice to Wring Money Out of Americans

Moonbattery

Given that the hoax has been repeatedly debunked by the failure of the climate to conform to politically motivated pseudo-scientific models, and that even when the climate does start to change it will only be because in never stays the same for long, what is the point of the United Nations constantly spewing global warming rhetoric? Power is part of the point. The rest of it is money:

At the upcoming United Nations Climate Summit in Paris, participating nations have prepared a treaty that would create an “International Tribunal of Climate Justice” giving Third World countries the power to haul the U.S. into a global court with enforcement powers.

Congress would be bypassed – left out in the cold – by this climate deal, critics say.

Policies once left to sovereign nations could be turned over to a U.N. body if the U.S. and its allies approve the proposed deal in Paris during the summit scheduled for Nov. 30-Dec. 11.

According to the proposed draft text of the climate treaty, the tribunal would take up issues such as “climate justice,” “climate finance,” “technology transfers,” and “climate debt.”

Whenever moonbats use the word “justice,” they are planning to inflict the opposite. Their ability to keep a straight face while throwing around terms like “climate justice” is almost awe-inspiring.

What the term means in this context is that rich countries must have their economies hamstrung by caps on the harmless CO2 emissions that result from literally all productive activity, while being forced to shower money upon the corrupt governments of poor countries. Our major economic competitor China counts as a poor country, probably because the people there are not Caucasians.

The odds that Obama and Kerry would object to this are slim.

Report: FEMA to Dole Out Disaster Preparation Cash Only to States That Buy Into Global Warming Hoax

Gateway Pundit

The coldest winter in a century was followed by the fewest tornadoes ever in 2014.

Now this…
FEMA will approve disaster preparedness funds only for states that buy into Global Warming hoax.
Inside Climate News reported, via Downtrend:

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is making it tougher for governors to deny man-made climate change. Starting next year, the agency will approve disaster preparedness funds only for states whose governors approve hazard mitigation plans that address climate change.

This may put several Republican governors who maintain the earth isn’t warming due to human activities, or prefer to do nothing about it, into a political bind. Their position may block their states’ access to hundreds of millions of dollars in FEMA funds. Over the past five years, the agency has awarded an average $1 billion a year in grants to states and territories for taking steps to mitigate the effects of disasters.

“If a state has a climate denier governor that doesn’t want to accept a plan, that would risk mitigation work not getting done because of politics,” said Becky Hammer, an attorney with the Natural Resources Defense Council’s water program. “The governor would be increasing the risk to citizens in that state” because of his climate beliefs.

The policy doesn’t affect federal money for relief after a hurricane, flood or other disaster. Specifically, beginning in March 2016, states seeking preparedness money will have to assess how climate change threatens their communities.

Report: Global Warming Biggest Science Hoax Ever

Gateway Pundit

It was all a hoax.
climate hoax

The Global warming hoax is shaping up to be the greatest science scandal ever.
The Telegraph reported:

When future generations look back on the global-warming scare of the past 30 years, nothing will shock them more than the extent to which the official temperature records – on which the entire panic ultimately rested – were systematically “adjusted” to show the Earth as having warmed much more than the actual data justified.

Two weeks ago, under the headline “How we are being tricked by flawed data on global warming”, I wrote about Paul Homewood, who, on his Notalotofpeopleknowthat blog, had checked the published temperature graphs for three weather stations in Paraguay against the temperatures that had originally been recorded. In each instance, the actual trend of 60 years of data had been dramatically reversed, so that a cooling trend was changed to one that showed a marked warming.

This was only the latest of many examples of a practice long recognised by expert observers around the world – one that raises an ever larger question mark over the entire official surface-temperature record.

Following my last article, Homewood checked a swathe of other South American weather stations around the original three. In each case he found the same suspicious one-way “adjustments”. First these were made by the US government’s Global Historical Climate Network (GHCN). They were then amplified by two of the main official surface records, the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (Giss) and the National Climate Data Center (NCDC), which use the warming trends to estimate temperatures across the vast regions of the Earth where no measurements are taken. Yet these are the very records on which scientists and politicians rely for their belief in “global warming”.

Homewood has now turned his attention to the weather stations across much of the Arctic, between Canada (51 degrees W) and the heart of Siberia (87 degrees E). Again, in nearly every case, the same one-way adjustments have been made, to show warming up to 1 degree C or more higher than was indicated by the data that was actually recorded. This has surprised no one more than Traust Jonsson, who was long in charge of climate research for the Iceland met office (and with whom Homewood has been in touch). Jonsson was amazed to see how the new version completely “disappears” Iceland’s “sea ice years” around 1970, when a period of extreme cooling almost devastated his country’s economy.

We have always had crazy people, citizens lacking common sense, the misinformed, the ignorant, the purposeful deceptive, but we never used to put them in charge, until now.  We are turning into europameristan because we think, it is not happening yet in our own back yards, neighborhoods, or towns.

We shake our heads in disbelief, joke about it, talk about it, write about it, while we are losing ground every day to a minority fringe bent on destroying everything around us and installing their ideas of civilized society: anarchy, socialism, Marxism, fascism, and Islamism.

Cap-and-Trade: A Scam Based on a Scam

Canada Free Press

It is almost beyond comprehension that Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) and Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) will introduce the Cap-and-Trade Act on Wednesday, May 12th, for consideration by the Senate. It is being passed off as a “climate bill” with provisions for more oil drilling, but it is an assault on reality, on science, on common sense, and on any future economic growth of the nation.

The nation’s prisons are filled with men still claiming to be innocent after trials filled with evidence of their guilt. Denial of the truth is their last resort and this metaphor reflects what is happening in the utterly corrupt community of “global warming” liars and their associates in the U.S. government.

Recently 225 “scientists” wrote a letter defending global warming. It was published in the journal “Science”, one of the many such publications that have become as corrupt as those at the center of the global warming scam.

Based on last November’s leaked emails among those most responsible for the data at the heart of the global warming scam, it was revealed that the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change had been systematically publishing false climate information and analysis.

Moreover, the photo used to illustrate the “scientists” letter was photo-shopped to show a polar bear on a small piece of ice surrounded by water. The deception included the fact that many of the signatories to the letter lack credibility. Among the first 20 listed, none work in the field of climate science.

Evidence of Climate Fraud Grows, Media Coverage Doesn’t

American Thinker

Marc Sheppard
Newsbusters’ Noel Sheppard lets the mainstream media have it for completely ignoring this weekend’s game-changing revelations from Climategate conspirator Phil Jones while jumping all over the ejection of director Kevin Smith from a Southwest Airlines plane for being too fat.
For those who may have taken the three-day weekend off from the blogosphere (and Fox News) — the BBC released a Q&A and corresponding interview with the embattled erstwhile CRU chief on Friday.  In each, the discredited Climategate conspirator revealed a number of surprising insights into his true climate beliefs, the most shocking of which was that 20th-century global warming may not have been unprecedented.  As I pointed out in Sunday’s article, Climategate’s Phil Jones Confesses to Climate Fraud, as the entire anthropogenic global warming (AGW) theory is predicated on correlation with rising CO2 levels, this first-such confession from an IPCC senior scientist is nothing short of earth-shattering.
Noel has dug up some statistics on the major news agencies’ coverage of this vital chapter in what history will likely deem its greatest case of scientific fraud ever:

·   No mention by the New York Times
·   No mention by the Washington Post
·   No mention by USA Today
·   No mention by ANY major U.S. newspaper EXCEPT the Washington Times
·   No mention by the Associated Press
·   No mention by Reuters
·   No mention by UPI
·   No mention by ABC News
·   No mention by CBS News
·   No mention by NBC News
·   No mention by MSNBC

As well as their treatment of Clerks director Kevin Smith being thrown off an airplane for the alleged crime of donut overindulgence:

·         The New York Times reported it
·         The Washington Post reported it
·         The Associated Press reported it
·         UPI reported it
·         ABC News reported it
·         CBS News reported it
·         CNN reported it — 14 TIMES!

Noel points out that the same complicit media entities were similarly asleep-at-the-wheel when the Climategate scandal broke last November.  Indeed, with the notable exceptions of Fox News and the Wall Street Journal, it was exclusively new media outlets such as this one reporting and analyzing the facts uncovered concerning the fraud-suggesting-emails, the data-manipulating computer source code, the funding hypocrisies, and exactly which “decline” the scoundrels were hiding.

Of course, I must add that the blackout didn’t end with Britain’s Climategate. The MSM have been equally silent about the complicit conspirators on this side of the Atlantic.  As we reported last month, a report by three Americans (Joe D’Aleo, Anthony Watts and E.M Smith) has uncovered intentional global temperature misrepresentations by the two premiere U.S. climate agencies: the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS).
The ramifications of this doctoring of the temperature records used by policy-influencing agencies worldwide – including the green-guidelines-granddaddy of them all — the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change — to analyze temperature anomalies are staggering.  And yet – where was the MSM?
And speaking of the Nobel Prize winning IPCC, the seemingly never-ending number of “facts” in their most recent Assessment Report found to be utterly false and/or of questionable origin — See IPCC: International Pack of Climate Crooks — should be front page news.  After all, this is the green bible on which every crazy and economy destroying scheme from domestic cap-and-tax to EPA chief Lisa Jackson’s sinister carbon regulation plot to international “climate debt” reparations is based.
Yet – the complicit media continue to speak of fantasy “green jobs” and the failings of Copenhagen and big-oil-paid-for Republicans and the need to pass President Obama’s so-called climate bill rather than doing the job they signed on for and unequivocally owe the American public:  Asking questions.
I think Noel’s choice of closing words and punctuation expresses it perfectly:  Shame on them!!!

Three Major Firms Pull Out of Climate Change Alliance

Fox News

The sudden pullout of three corporate giants from a leading alliance of businesses and environmental groups could be the death knell for climate change legislation languishing on Capitol Hill.

ConocoPhillips, BP America and Caterpillar’s announced Tuesday they will pull out of the U.S. Climate Action Partnership, citing complaints that the bills now in Congress are unfair to American industry.

BP spokesman Ronnie Chappell said Tuesday’s announcements are not a statement on the likelihood that climate change legislation will fail.

“I would never speculate as to what would happen with a pending piece of legislation,” Chappell said.

But he said the bills on the table no longer “conform” with what USCAP envisioned for a climate change bill. He said the legislation — including one bill that passed the House but is stalled in the Senate — does not provide adequate protections to U.S. refineries.

If any bills are passed, they will result in more oil imports, the closure of U.S. refineries and the loss of U.S. jobs. Plus he said it’s too hard on the transportation sector.

“We do not believe that the bills now pending in Congress conform to the USCAP blueprint, in that a disproportionate share of the emissions reductions and disproportionate share of the cost fall on the transportation sector and on transportation consumers and motorists,” he said.

Both BP America and Caterpillar were founding members of the group.

ConocoPhillips CEO Jim Mulva also said in a statement that the House and Senate bills “disadvantaged the transportation sector and its consumers” and “unfairly penalized” domestic refineries that would have to face international competition on an unbalanced playing field.

“We believe greater attention and resources need to be dedicated to reversing these missed opportunities, and our actions today are part of that effort,” he said.

The companies described their withdrawal from the group as a way to advocate for climate change legislation in other ways.

“Our position on the need for comprehensive climate change legislation has not changed,” Chappell said. “We can be a more effective voice in the climate change debate if we participate as BP and not as part of a larger organization. … We will still be very active in the climate change discussions and we will still be advocating for legislation that conforms to the USCAP blueprint.”

USCAP released a brief statement Tuesday announcing that the member companies were leaving the organization. The group said the companies “provided invaluable assistance, expertise and significant commitments of time and resources” in pushing for a major climate bill.

The group reiterated its view that Congress should act on a climate bill this year.

“We believe that U.S. action on energy and climate legislation in 2010 will preserve and create American jobs, secure our energy future and generate new investment in the global clean energy economy,” the statement said.

The statement noted that while three companies were leaving, others have recently joined and USCAP “expects to add new members in the coming months.”

The push for climate change legislation has been hampered by more than just concern over its impact on the U.S. economy. The record snowfall this year in Washington, D.C., and other areas of the country has fueled skeptics who see the snow-covered capital as evidence that global warming is a myth, though scientists argue that temperatures have risen over the long term and that extreme weather — even snow — can be a symptom of climate change.

The U.N. Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen in December ended with a non-binding agreement. And that was preceded by controversy over leaked e-mails from a British climate research center that appeared to show scientists discussing ways to obscure certain climate data.

Add to that Republican Scott Brown’s election to the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts in January — a win that broke the Democrats’ 60-vote filibuster-proof majority.

The conservative Competitive Enterprise Institute seized on the departure of the three companies from USCAP as a sign that “cap-and-trade legislation is dead in the U.S. Congress and that global warming alarmism is collapsing rapidly.”

Climategate U-turn as scientist at centre of row admits: There has been no global warming since 1995

Mail Online

The academic at the centre of the ‘Climategate’ affair, whose raw data is crucial to the theory of climate change, has admitted that he has trouble ‘keeping track’ of the information.

Colleagues say that the reason Professor Phil Jones has refused Freedom of Information requests is that he may have actually lost the relevant papers.

Professor Jones told the BBC yesterday there was truth in the observations of colleagues that he lacked organisational skills, that his office was swamped with piles of paper and that his record keeping is ‘not as good as it should be’.

The data is crucial to the famous ‘hockey stick graph’ used by climate change advocates to support the theory.

Professor Jones also conceded the possibility that the world was warmer in medieval times than now – suggesting global warming may not be a man-made phenomenon.

And he said that for the past 15 years there has been no ‘statistically significant’ warming.

The admissions will be seized on by sceptics as fresh evidence that there are serious flaws at the heart of the science of climate change and the orthodoxy that recent rises in temperature are largely man-made.

Professor Jones has been in the spotlight since he stepped down as director of the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit after the leaking of emails that sceptics claim show scientists were manipulating data.

The raw data, collected from hundreds of weather stations around the world and analysed by his unit, has been used for years to bolster efforts by the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change to press governments to cut carbon dioxide emissions.

Sen. Inhofe’s Family Builds Igloo for Global Warming Spokesman Al Gore in Snow-laden D.C.

(CNSNews.com) – The family of Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) had some fun at former Vice President and global warming spokesman Al Gore’s expense over the weekend after record snowfall blanketed the nation’s capital.

The family spent Saturday and Sunday building an igloo near the U.S. Capitol building, and the Oklahoma senator posted photos of their handiwork on his Facebook page. They added signs to the snow dwelling that read, “AL GORE’S NEW HOME!” and “HONK IF YOU (LOVE) GLOBAL WARMING.”

Inhofe, the ranking Republican on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, is one of the foremost skeptics of anthropomorphic or man-caused global warming (AGW). Gore, on the other hand, produced the film “An Inconvenient Truth,” which helped to mainstream the issue of global climate change, and is a prominent proponent of curbing carbon emissions to try to halt it.

The Inhofe family, including the senator’s daughter and grandchildren, built the igloo after a large storm system dumped more than two feet of snow on the Washington, D.C. metro area on Friday and Saturday. The National Weather Service measured a record 32.4 inches at Dulles International Airport. Another 6 to 16 inches are predicted to fall on the capital on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Roll Call’s “Heard on the Hill” blog first reported on the igloo Tuesday morning.

Inhofe’s press secretary, Matt Dempsey, told CNSNews.com that the senator had known what his family planned to do. “Absolutely, I think the senator was out there with them,” said Dempsey. “I would have to double check.  But no, he was happy to have them do that.”

Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.)
“It’s just disappointing that more of the liberal blogs don’t seem to have a sense of humor about this,” he said.  “This was done in good fun.”

Brad Johnson, who blogs for the liberal Center American Progress criticized the prank and tagged it in the category of “Radical Right-Wing Agenda.”

“In reality, winter snows do not invalidate the reality that the planet just experienced the hottest decade on record,” Johnson wrote. “Scientists have been warning for decades that global warming would increase the severity of winter storms.”

Inhofe has often sparred with Gore in the past over his stance that global climate change is an emergency caused by humans and that legislation to curb carbon emissions is required.

In December, Inhofe told Fox News anchor Sean Hannity that Gore should give back the Oscar and Nobel Prize that he won for his work on “An Inconvenient Truth” and for spreading the message on climate change. “Oh, yeah, I think it’d be great to give it back, but that’s not going to happen—you know that and I know that,” said Inhofe.

Former Vice President Al Gore, seen here at the climate summit in Copenhagen on Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, says new computer modeling suggests the Arctic Ocean may be nearly ice-free in the summertime as early as 2014. (AP Photo)

In March 2007, when Gore testified on global warming before the Environment and Public Works Committee, Inhofe confronted Gore with the allegation that his large home in Tennessee consumes nearly 20 times as much energy as the average American household, and challenged him to take a pledge to reduce that number. (See Chart.)

“There are hundreds of thousands of people who adore you and would follow your example by reducing their energy usage if you did,” Inhofe told Gore. “Don’t give us the run-around on carbon offsets or the gimmicks the wealthy do.”

“Are you willing to make a commitment here today by taking this pledge to consume no more energy for use in your residence than the average American household by one year from today?” said Inhofe.

The Web page for the minority on the committee keeps track of how long it has been since Gore refused the pledge: the total stands at 1,056 days, or nearly three years
