Is Robert Mueller Covering Up Major Russian Espionage?

Janitor’s view

via Free Republic

Robert Mueller and his staff may be covering up the biggest act of espionage in the United States since the acquisition of atomic secrets by the Russians at the start of the Cold War. Mueller is supposed to be investigating what the Russian hackers called “Fancy Bear” did during the 2016 election. However, he continues to ignore an Associated Press expose indicating Fancy Bear focused on non-partisan email users including defense industry employees and those in the intelligence community. According to the AP, Department of Justice employees were aware of what Fancy Bear was doing, but didn’t warn those whose emails were being hacked. . Fancy Bear used access to the Democrats national committee emails as a cover story to hide what may have been the real reason for the operation from the meatheads at the Department of Justice (DOJ)..

The popular myth is that Fancy Bear was accessing the Democratic Party’s emails to help Russia influence the 2016 presidential election. Russia couldn’t have used the Democratic national committee emails to influence the presidential election because the candidates’ organizations run the presidential campaigns — not the national party organizations. It is unlikely Russia needed hackers to get the Democratic emails. Russia almost certainly had an agent planted in the Democratic national organization who would have used a zip drive to copy emails along with general information about party personnel and supporters. An agent in the organization can use conversations to obtain information that is never placed in the computer. China and Israel also probably had agents in the Democrats organization.

It may come as a surprise to some politicians and journalists, but Americans and Russians and their allies have been spying on each other and attempting to influence political opinions in each other’s countries for 70 years.

It is time to recognize that Fancy Bear was conducting a major espionage operation rather than attempting to play politics. I don’t know if the Justice Department’s Fancy Bear collaborators were just stupid or the Russians paid them for their services. Nor, do I know if Mueller and his staff are taking money from the Russians or they’re just trying to protect “dirty” DOJ employees and possibly former President Barack Obama. Obama’s cybersecurity coordinator Michael Daniel has indicated Obama told DOJ employees not to stop the Russians.

It’s time for President Donald Trump to replace Mueller and his band of incompetents with investigators who have never worked for the Department of Justice. Their mission should be to identify and prosecute those who collaborated with the Russian hackers and to determine if the Russians were able to use the knowledge they obtained to access classified information or infiltrate corporate or government computers.

Even if personal emails didn’t contain classified information, they could have helped identify people who could be black mailed or be willing to accept bribes. Emails could have identified disgruntled employees who might welcome help to get even with an “unfair” employer. A covert agent could get acquainted with the employee and then tell the employee how he or someone he knew got even.

ESPIONAGE ACT INDICTMENT LOOMS OVER HILLARY CLINTON & HER CAMPAIGN

DC Whispers

Indictment.

That is the term heard increasingly from sources adjacent to the ongoing investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email scandal that apparently now places her at considerable risk of facing a very serious federal espionage charge.

The risk was great enough to require President Obama to come out publicly to warn off the investigation when during an interview he attempted downplay Mrs. Clinton’s “confusion” over federal classified information laws.

It was the very same tactic the president used to diminish the earlier IRS scandal and he now appears hopeful he can be just as successful in minimizing the damage to Hillary Clinton and thus, himself.

Rumors are now swirling that the FBI already has enough to implicate Mrs. Clinton in directly jeopardizing national security. What remains to be known is if that jeopardy was willful or merely negligent.

Both are capable of generating a recommendation from the FBI to the Justice Department that formal charges be brought against the former Obama Secretary of State and there has been a more recent flurry of speculation that such charges could be forthcoming within the next month or two.

Navy Officer Arrested for Spying Against U.S.

Family Security Matters

by KEVIN SAMOLSKY

Yesterday, April 11, 2016, Reuters reported that a U.S. Navy officer, Lieutenant Commander Edward Lin, will face espionage charges. Lin was apart of the Navy’s Patrol and Reconnaissance Group, which handles intelligence collection operations. While it has yet to be fully verified, it is believed Lin was sending secrets to either China or Taiwan.

The case of Lieutenant Commander Lin would just be a small piece in China’s larger plan for stealing U.S. secrets. The strategic threat of China understanding our military capabilities rivals that of terrorism and cyber security, and it is unclear if the U.S. has the ability or understanding to counter this threat.

60 Minutes to Help Rehabilitate Ethel Rosenberg

Moonbattery

The job of 60 Minutes is to repackage ultra-left lunacy in superficially reasonable tones for mainstream consumption, so it is perfectly suited to the task of rehabilitating Ethel Rosenberg. You thought only the communist kooks running New York City would champion a woman who helped put Stalin in a position to kill us by the millions with nuclear weapons? Wrong:

Obama’s presidency isn’t over until the end of next year, yet rumors already are swirling about who he might pardon.

One name in particular keeps surfacing: Ethel Rosenberg, a dedicated communist and convicted espionage conspirator.

Those who regard her as a hero for spying on behalf of the Soviet Union are ramping up their lobbying efforts.

There’s a New York City Council proclamation calling for an “Ethel Rosenberg Day of Justice in the Borough of Manhattan,” and a forthcoming segment of “60 Minutes” that will endeavor to show Ethel received an unfair trial and never should have been executed.

On the contrary, thanks to the Venona files, we now know just how richly Ethel Rosenberg deserved execution.

Only the comfortably ignorant can now deny the extent of the damage done or who the players were. Ethel’s role should no longer be in question.

The phrase “comfortably ignorant” apply describes the 60 Minutes audience. The cure for their malady is a dose of reality:

• Ethel was critical in getting her brother, David [Greenglass], a machinist at Los Alamos, NM, to turn over documents and drawings that confirmed what they were already receiving from nuclear physicists such as Klaus Fuchs and Ted Hall.

• Ethel was trusted by at least two KGB spies, Semyon Semyonov and Alexander Feklisov. Masters of espionage tradecraft, Soviet spies awarded their trust to only the most loyal and dedicated American operatives.

• Ethel was present when Julius had meetings with spy ring members such as Joel Barr and Nathan Sussman. The couple’s small apartment was often used for meetings and the exchange of purloined documents.

• As the FBI closed in on the Rosenberg spy ring in the aftermath of revelations from physicist Fuchs, chemist Harry Gold, Greenglass and other Americans caught in the web of lies, Ethel was quickly assigned the task of collecting incriminating evidence and keeping it from law-enforcement authorities.

• After Julius was arrested and imprisoned, he informed another prisoner, Eugene Tartakow, an FBI plant, that Ethel assisted him on many of his spy projects.

To conclude:

[A] presidential pardon would be a disservice to those who fought totalitarianism and respect historical truth.

But leftists have a fetish for the Rosenbergs. So 60 Minutes will rewrite history to absolve her, and Obama will grant the pardon. If liberals remain in power, Julius Rosenberg will follow in time.

At least we don’t have to worry about Obama pardoning Benedict Arnold, since he hates Britain as much as America.

The Rosenbergs: pure moonbat evil.
