Virginia Drivers Refuse to Hand Over Confederate License Plates

After Dylann Roof killed 9 people attending a black church in South Carolina, it seemed liked the whole country went on a campaign to stamp out the Confederate flag. It didn’t matter that the majority of Americans who revere that flag hold no racist inclinations. In our country, if one person does something crazy or stupid, everyone must suffer for it.

That’s why the state of Virgina decided to outlaw their Confederate license plates after the shooting. It is now a misdemeanor to drive with one of these plates in Virginia, and the DMV has asked anyone with Confederate plates to have them replaced. However, the vast majority of these people aren’t budging. According to the DMV, of the 1600 plates that were issued, only 187 have been returned. They even tried sending new plates to these drivers, and instead of getting the old plates back, the DMV received letters saying “no thank you.”

It’s one thing if the DMV decided to stop producing these plates, but to make it illegal for anyone to leave them on their cars would be just as crazy as prosecuting drivers for mounting novelty confederate license frames on their vehicles. As one Sons of Confederate Veterans member so aptly put it “Next thing you know, they’re going to say you can’t wear blue on Monday…or you can’t wear yellow on Thursday. Where’s it going to end?”

I can’t help wondering, especially as the old hag from Northern California worth $100 million who employs non-union illegal aliens for her Napa winery has tried to “ambush” the GOP with a resolution pushing the removal of the Mississippi state flag from the Capitol.

So when did it happen? When the Confederate flag become racist? I posed that question to several liberals on numerous news websites and absolutely none of them could offer anything remotely intelligent.

It’s been an historic week and although I am not surprised by the Supreme Court decisions, they saddened me beyond belief. I have sadly come to the conclusion that many of my colleagues are correct… our Constitutional form of government is now dead and Obama’s transformative ‘change’ is all but complete.

Things are now snowballing and it is more than most Americans can take or bear. From gay marriage and the ensuing infringement on free speech and our religious rights, to enforced Obamacare, to forced wealth redistibution in our neighborhoods, to the EPA run amok… our freedoms are being absolutely nullified. States are now saying they won’t comply with the EPA on coal and who can blame them? Americans will get very dangerous when they are hungry and cold. And then there is the Iran deadline, which is this weekend. Instead of holding their feet to fire, we are actually giving Iran nuclear reactors while they shout, “Death to America!” in their parliament. Insanity is the norm now. There there is the increased Islamic State threat on our southern border and the attacks on our power grid coming down the pike. It’s surreal and all instigated, manipulated and planned for by our government – the ultimate enemy from within.

Walmart Drops Merchandise With Confederate Flag, Still Sells Items With Che Guevara

Retail giant Walmart has decided to drop selling merchandise with the Confederate flag on it, in light of the recent shooting in South Carolina where Dylann Roof — a racist — murdered nine people.

Photos of Roof were uncovered featuring him with a Confederate flag, thus it’s once again been relegated to a racist symbol, something Walmart claims it wants nothing to do with.

There’s just one teeny, tiny problem.

The store still sells merchandise with Che Guevara on it, a Communist murderer who hated blacks.

Seems a little inconsistent, don’t you think?

Walmart and Sears, two of the country’s largest retailers, will remove all Confederate flag merchandise from their stores.

The announcements are the latest indication that the flag, a symbol of the slave-holding South, has become toxic in the aftermath of a shooting last week at a historic African-American church in Charleston, South Carolina. Gov. Nikki Haley announced in a Monday afternoon news conference that she supports removing the Confederate flag from the state capitol grounds.

As of Monday afternoon, Walmart.com carried the Confederate flag as well as attire featuring the flag’s design, such as T-shirts and belt buckles.

“We never want to offend anyone with the products that we offer. We have taken steps to remove all items promoting the confederate flag from our assortment — whether in our stores or on our web site,” said Walmart spokesman Brian Nick. “We have a process in place to help lead us to the right decisions when it comes to the merchandise we sell. Still, at times, items make their way into our assortment improperly — this is one of those instances.”

This statement doesn’t exactly appear to be true when you continue to sell items featuring the face of a notorious freedom hating murderer who also had a strong dislike for blacks.
