Just hours after he stormed out of President Obama’s State of the Union address Tuesday, Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas) announced he’s considering filing articles of impeachment against the president.
“I’m considering filing Articles of Impeachment against Barack Obama,” Stockman announced on a website backing his senate run.
Rep. Pete Olson (R-TX) has introduced an Articles of Impeachment resolution against Attorney General Eric Holder for his role in Operation Fast and Furious and other scandals of President Barack Obama’s administration.
Seven congressman have signed onto the resolution thus far in addition to Olson. They are Reps. Larry Bucshon (R-IN), Blake Farenthold (R-TX), Phil Roe (R-TN), Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA), Roger Williams (R-TX), Ted Yoho (R-FL), and Randy Weber (R-TX).
Representative Steve Stockman (R-TX) arranged for the distribution of a book described as “the first draft of the articles of impeachment against Barack Obama” to all 435 members of the US House of Representatives. “Impeachable Offenses: The Case for Removing Barack Obama from Office,” by Aaron Klein and Brenda J. Elliott were donated by the book’s publisher, WND Books.
“There’s a lot to look at, and I think, at some point, if the smoking gun leads to the White House, we have to take action,” Stockman told WND.
The National Black Republican Association filed Articles of Impeachment with Congress against President Barack Obama for his gross violations of our constitution and dereliction of duty as our commander-in-chief.
