There are two parts to the anti-Trump conspiracy. The first was to stop him from being elected. The second ongoing part is to take him down.
The day before yesterday it was reported that Andrew McCabe, at the request of two democrat Senators, opened a criminal investigation into Jeff Sessions in 2017.
Nearly a year before Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired senior FBI official Andrew McCabe for what Sessions called a “lack of candor,” McCabe oversaw a federal criminal investigation into whether Sessions lacked candor when testifying before Congress about contacts with Russian operatives, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.
Democratic lawmakers have repeatedly accused Sessions of misleading them in congressional testimony and called on federal authorities to investigate, but McCabe’s previously-unreported decision to actually put the attorney general in the crosshairs of an FBI probe was an exceptional move.
The probe was requested by two democrats of highly questionable ethics:
According to the sources, McCabe authorized the criminal inquiry after a top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vermont, and then-Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., wrote a letter in March 2017 to the FBI urging agents to investigate “all contacts” Sessions may have had with Russians, and “whether any laws were broken in the course of those contacts or in any subsequent discussion of whether they occurred.”
McCabe’s actions are further proof of the vast political espionage plot against Donald Trump. I think this plot began well before Trump secured the nomination. First, let’s look at the hypocrisy of the situation. democrats accused Sessions of lying under oath about his contacts with Russian Ambassador Kislyak. They took it upon themselves to initiate an FBI criminal probe into Sessions. There are a few people who absolutely did lie under oath and somehow escaped this fate.
John Brennan: He lied to Congress about spying on a Senate committee.
Jame Clapper: He lied about spying on Americans
Lois Lerner: She lied about using the IRS to target conservatives
Eric Holder: Lied about Fast and Furious and more
Not one single FBI criminal investigation resulted from any of these lies under oath. Because democrat.
Now, let’s also recall that Sessions need not have disclosed his contacts with Kislyak as a function of being a US Senator, according to the FBI:
The FBI has put to bed a controversy whipped up by liberal critics of Attorney General Jeff Sessions over his contacts with foreign officials including Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the 2016 presidential campaign.
An FBI email released through the Freedom of Information Act said that Sessions had no obligation to reveal any contacts with foreign officials unless he “developed personal relationships” with them.
The bottom line: His two contacts with Kislyak in 2016 did not have to be revealed to the FBI on his SF-86 security clearance application, part of his confirmation process.
Sessions has repeatedly denied that he talked about the campaign with the Russian, but critics have continued to question his decision to not list them on his SF-86, which contains a box to check for contacts.
The email confirms statements from Justice staffers that Sessions did not need to check the foreign contacts box.
But then, you must also remember that the FBI cleared one Michael Flynn and then almost immediately Flynn was suddenly charged with lying to the FBI. Once Mueller needed something on him he ambushed Flynn.
Trump was never supposed to win. Having failed to stop that, a new plan evolved to delegitimize Trump. On November 18, 2016 Trump nominated Sessions to be Attorney General. The plan was to take down Sessions as democrats knew that Sessions would not appoint an SC who would do their bidding. They had someone at the ready who would act in their interests. Hence the Sessions onslaught.
Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats today called for Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., the nominee for attorney general, to allow investigations into Russian hacking to proceed and to recuse himself from any of those proceedings.
The Democrats, led by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., who chairs the Judiciary panel, asks Sessions not to “impede or shut down” any FBI or Justice Department investigation into Russian efforts to influence the 2016 election and asks for a commitment on it.
In the letter, sent to Sessions Tuesday, Democrats cite the controversial CNN report that President Obama and President-elect Trump were briefed recently by the intelligence community about unconfirmed allegations that Russia may have “compromising personal and financial information about Mr. Trump.
The Democrats go on to cite “unconfirmed allegations” in the CNN report that “a continuing exchange of information during the campaign between Trump surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government.”
“Unconfirmed allegations” indeed.
There was no collusion. The FBI could not find any and neither could Mueller. The Sessions-Kislyak contacts were merely a ruse for getting what they wanted- Sessions to step away. After a month and a half of constant bombardment Sessions recused himself from the Russia issue on March 2, 2017. The path now was clear. Had Sessions not recused himself, McCabe would likely have brought charges against Sessions. It was another “insurance policy” that became unnecessary.
Once Sessions was taken out, Rod Rosenstein took over the Russia concern and appointed Robert Mueller as Special Counsel on May 17, 2017, following the directives of Chuck Schumer:
That memo from Rosenstein came under scrutiny following Comey’s ouster. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said in April that Rosenstein had assured him he would appoint a special counsel “if required.” Last week, Schumer said if Rosenstein didn’t follow through on that, “every American will rightly suspect that the decision to fire Director Comey was part of a cover-up.”
What’s not in the story are Comey’s lies. He testified under oath that he had not met with obama after the fall of 2016, yet he did meet with obama- and Yates and Brennan and Clapper, Biden and Rice on January 5, 2017.
The very next day Comey met with Trump to let him know that the FBI had the goods on Trump. He also lied to Trump about the dossier. Comey told Trump that the dossier was unverified but failed to tell Trump that unverified information was used to secure a FISA warrant- which is a violation of FISA rules. Trump had every right to fire Comey, especially in light of his mishandling the Clinton email scandal.
It did not matter if Trump fired Comey or not. A Special Counsel was coming.
May 9, 2017: Trump fires Comey
May 12, 2017: Rosenstein sees no need for a Special Counsel. Then five days later…
May 17, 2017: Rosenstein appoints Mueller as SC after Schumer’s “recommendation” and gives Mueller unlimited powers and unlimited scope. That is what democrats wanted.
The ostensible basis for the SC was this:
The Justice Department is appointing former FBI Director Robert Mueller as a special counsel to oversee the growing probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and possible ties to associates of President Trump.
But that was not the truth. Mueller was given a “broad mandate”, i.e. not to investigate a crime, but to find one, or create one. He has ventured beyond the Russian meddling, now stepping into Trump’s business affairs. This is why Sessions had to go. Were he to appoint an SC, Sessions would have limited the mandate. Rosenstein let Mueller run far afield by design. BTW, just as McCabe rose through the ranks as the hillary campaign gained steam and finds himself in just the right places at just the right time, so did Rosenstein.
Anything to take down Trump. The deck chairs were rearranged to somehow fabricate a crime against Flynn and the Papadopoulos plea is similarly ridiculous. Mueller is bankrupting witnesses in order to get them to say whatever he wants them to say. Prosecutors have this “financial waterboarding” at their command. Mueller’s pantheon of rabid democrats will almost certainly find something with which to charge Trump and democrats will then seek impeachment, even if it’s based on a lie about parking ticket. This latest revelation of McCabe conspiring with democrats is one more log on the conspiracy fire. It represents an abuse of power.
Fox News has obtained and reviewed British court records filed Wednesday in the ongoing multi-million dollar civil suit brought by Russian tech guru Aleksej Gubarev against Buzzfeed and Steele that is underway in courtrooms on both sides of the Atlantic.
Evan Fray-Witzer, a Boston-based attorney for Gubarev, told Fox News in an email, “We expect that Mr. Steele will confirm that the allegations concerning Mr. Gubarev were unsolicited and that he included them in the dossier despite having done nothing to verify whether the allegations were true or not.”
And yet a FISA warrant was issued on that.
This is what it’s all about. It’s a plot that began before the election and democrats were in the thick of it from the beginning. You can bet obama knew about it too.
