Since 12:01 pm January 20th, 2017 I and many like me are no longer an enemy of the state!

I will explain, if you recall, on 7 April 2009 the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a nine-page document published by the department’s Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A), titled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” which the main tenant of the document was to target American Veterans — Let that sink in, American Veterans were considered to be the “gravest concern” of the obama administration. Veterans?!?

The document, the first of its kind ever issued by any American president, but specifically Barack Hussein Obama and his DHS, a document that was met with opposition from veterans groups, Republican lawmakers and conservative activists and once it was realized just how brutally offended American Veterans were, then and only then did the left feign outrage from democrat politicians.

The document essentially called tax paying, law abiding, white, male, Christians that had previously and/or currently served/serving in the United States Military “rightwing extremists.”

Why?

Why would the newly elected president of the United States of America allow the Secretary of Homeland Security to accuse the vast majority of America’s citizens to be targeted and labeled as being rightwing extremists?

Was it because the vast majority of Americans that found this document to be offensive held strong beliefs in limited government, strong military, low taxes, and encouraged self-sufficiency and were opposed to the “nanny state?”

Well, now looking back through the lens of history we have the benefit of seeing BHO’s actions and who he and his administration (vis-a-vie DOJ, DHS, CIA, NSA, FBI, AG) would ultimately side with for the eight long years that BHO was president of the USA.

BHO sided with illegal immigrants, violent mobs that protested law enforcement, and Black Lives Matter even when their actions were truly “extreme,” violent, and destructive — Again, in his own words, he said that he wanted to “fundamentally transform” America. Well, that was fundamental transformation that I have never witnessed in my lifetime…I longed for a time when America would return to sanity. Was that even possible?

So, fast forward, America has awaken from its long sleep and elected a man that not only believes to his core that America is good, but he believes that America can be great again!

The current President of the United States of America not only supports veterans, he loves veterans, and he has hired several veteran’s to serve in key cabinet level positions, specifically, a former Marine Corps General John Kelly to serve as the fifth and current United States Secretary of Homeland Security — In my opinion that signals to veterans that this administration’s commitment to the rule of law is pure and American and is an “extreme” departure from BHO’s leadership.

The appalling document that was released by BHO’s administration on the 7th of April 2009 should have caused much more of an uproar in our country, much like the fact that our current president went exactly 180 degrees from the last president should signal this Administration’s commitment to our country’s shared values.

It feels great to wake up every day in this great country knowing that my president values me and those like me, I am truly grateful that America has elected an American President, one that will fundamentally transform America back to greatness!
