In the run-up to the election Louise Mensch and others broke the story that the Obama Justice Department and federal law enforcement authorities had obtained a Trump-related FISA warrant in October following the denial of an earlier FISA warrant request the previous June. On its way out the door the Obama administration trashed the “minimization” procedures protecting the privacy of American citizens caught in the FISA net. Andrew McCarthy raised a red flag in the troubling NRO column “FISA and the Trump team.” Earlier this week the New York Times reported the involvement of Obama administration officials in disseminating the information obtained along the way.

Breibart has posted a useful timeline with links, as has the Conservative Tree House site. In his NRO column today, Andrew McCarthy provides this summary of events to date as part of his inquiry into the “recusal” of Attorney General Sessions from something or other this week. Here is an excerpt:

China will likely replace the USA as world leader, said Bill Clinton in a recent Washington Post interview. It is just a matter of time. Clinton should know. He has personally done more to build China’s military strength than any man on earth.

Most Americans have heard of the so-called “Chinagate” scandal. Few understand its deadly import, however. Web sites such as “Chinagate for Dummies” and its companion “More Chinagate for Dummies” offer some assistance.

Unfortunately, with a combined total of nearly 8,000 words, these two sites – like so many others of the genre – offer more detail than most of us “dummies” can absorb.

For that reason, in the 600 words left in this column, I will try to craft my own “Idiot’s Guide to Chinagate,” dedicated to all those busy folks like you and me whose attention span tends to peter out after about 750 words.

Here goes.

When Bill Clinton took office in 1993, China presented no threat to the United States. Chinese missiles “couldn’t hit the side of a barn,” notes Timothy W. Maier of Insight magazine. Few could reach North America and those that made it would likely miss their targets.

Thanks to Bill Clinton, China can now hit any city in the USA, using state-of-the-art solid-fueled missiles with dead-accurate, computerized guidance systems and multiple warheads.

Islam on Track to Overtake Christianity, Become the World’s Biggest Religion by Century’s End

By the middle of this century, the number of Muslims worldwide will roughly equal those of Christians and by the century’s end will exceed them, making Islam the world’s largest religion.

That’s according to projections in a new analysis by the Pew Research Center, which identifies Islam as the world’s fastest-growing religion, owing to higher fertility rates and the fact Muslims have the youngest median age of all religious groups.

In 2010, 1.6 billion Muslims accounted for 23.2 percent of the total world population; Pew says that proportion could grow to 29.7 percent by 2050, and to 34.9 percent by 2100.

By contrast Christians comprised 31.4 percent of the population in 2010, and will account for about 33.8 percent in 2100, Pew projects.

Current demographic trends indicate that the Muslim population will soar by 73 percent between 2010 and 2050, compared to an increase of 35 percent for Christians – which is in line with overall global population growth over that period – 34 percent for Hindus and 16 percent for Jews.

Also by 2050, the size of the Muslim community in the United States will have doubled in size – albeit only from one to 2.1 percent of the population; while the estimated size of the Muslim population in Europe will be ten percent by mid-century.

Each Muslim woman has an average of 3.1 children, compared to 2.7 children for Christian women, and an average of 2.3 children for all non-Muslim women.

The median age of Muslims in 2010 was 23, compared to 30 for all non-Muslims.

The patterns could have a significant impact in some countries with large Muslim populations.

In Nigeria, for instance, Muslims today account for about 50 percent of the country’s 155 million population, but by 2050 that is expected to rise to 58.5 percent, bringing new pressures in a country already fractured along religious lines.

(Shari’a is already implemented in 12 of the country’s 36 states, all in the north, the part of Nigeria where Boko Haram is conducted a bloody jihad against Christians.

Pew projects that India could surpass Indonesia in 2050 as the nation boasting the largest Muslim population.

Indonesia is the world’s fourth-most populous country, and an estimated 87 percent of its current population of 258 million (or some 225 million people) are Muslims, according to the CIA World Factbook.

Today, Indian Muslims comprise a minority of just 14.4 percent, but in the world’s second-most populous country (1.26 billion), that amounts to around 176 million people.

By 2050, Pew says, Muslim birthrates are expected to expand the Muslim proportion of the population to 18.4 percent. Taking into account India’s projected overall population growth, that will take the size of the Indian Muslim population to about 311 million.

Pakistan’s Muslim population, too, is likely by 2050 to overtake that of Indonesia, which will move into third place.

A large majority of the world’s Muslims live in Asia rather than in the Middle East and North Africa.

The world’s biggest Muslim populations are, in order, in Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Egypt, Iran and Turkey.

U.S. Gives Soros Groups Millions to Destabilize Macedonia’s Conservative Govt.

In June 2015, the Voice of America claimed that “Macedonia has become a major transit route for thousands of Middle Eastern and African refugees and migrants who cross over from Greece and then continue into Serbia.”

In 2016, the official German media outlet Deutsche Welle reported: “Macedonia has been the main transit point for almost 700,000 migrants heading from Greece to Western and Northern Europe on the so-called Balkan route since the beginning of 2015. Macedonian authorities are finalizing the construction of a new barbed-wire fence at the border with Greece.”

It is within this context that Judicial Watch states: “The U.S. government has quietly spent millions of taxpayer dollars to destabilize the democratically elected, center-right government in Macedonia by colluding with leftwing billionaire philanthropist George Soros, records obtained by Judicial Watch show. Barack Obama’s U.S. Ambassador to Macedonia, Jess L. Baily, has worked behind the scenes with Soros’ Open Society Foundation to funnel large sums of American dollars for the cause, constituting an interference of the U.S. Ambassador in domestic political affairs in violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.”

Soros, by his own admission, is opposed to European borders and has reportedly encouraged mass Muslim migration from the Middle East to Europe, ostensibly to destabilize the continent.
