Democratic party supporters are already looking towards the 2020 election, hoping for a Senate “showdown” between the two former First Daughters Chelsea Clinton and Caroline Kennedy.

“And we’re told that it’s more than just fantasy football for liberals who have nothing else to look forward to,” the New York Daily News reported on Friday.

Should Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D., N.Y.) run for president in 2020, it’s rumored that both Clinton and Kennedy would vie for the vacant Senate seat.

In 2015, Clinton told Sky News, “Absolutely, I’d consider it one day,” when asked if she would run for office.

Clinton’s recent Twitter battle with Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Donald Trump, is helping her “engage in the political arena,” an insider told the Daily News.

Clinton went on the attack when Conway cited the “Bowling Green Massacre,” a terror plot that never occurred.

Conway apologized for misspeaking, but Clinton engaged her on Twitter, writing, “Very grateful no one seriously hurt in the Louvre attack …or the (completely fake) Bowling Green Massacre. Please don’t make up attacks.”

Kennedy, who was ambassador to Japan for three years during the Obama administration, expressed interest in the Senate seat back in 2009 when Hillary Clinton vacated it.

But Kennedy passed on the opportunity for “personal reasons,” and Gov. David Paterson gave the position to Gillibrand.

Kennedy appeared on NBC’s “Today” show last week, where Matt Lauer asked her if she had any plans to run for a new position.

Kennedy said she had just arrived back home, adding, “I’m looking around to figure out what I would do next.”
