Another day, yet another act of jihad.

To be sure, the authorities are discouraging us from connecting the dots between the fact that the perpetrator who tried to run over, then butcher, innocent Ohio State University students is a Somali refugee and that he recently publicly professed his Muslim faith.

They tell us they’re still trying to establish a motive.  They say they have not yet concluded that it was a terrorist attack.  And no one else is supposed to jump to conclusions.

In fact, it’s generally the case in such incidents when the perp is a foreign-born Muslim, the violence is not an inexplicable “lone wolf” attack.  It’s an individual jihadist action, intended to terrify and dominate infidels in furtherance of the Islamic supremacists’ goal of imposing worldwide their totalitarian doctrine, Sharia.

It amounts to a dangerous self-delusion to pretend otherwise.

The South Is On Fire And National Media Couldn’t Care Less

Ravaged by months of drought, huge swaths of the southeast United States are on fire, but you wouldn’t know it judging by national media coverage.

A total of six states in the southeast (Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi) are currently suffering from “exceptional drought,” a category reserved for the most severe drought conditions, according to the National Drought Mitigation Center. The majority of land in four states (Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia) are facing “extreme drought,” the second most severe level.

According to the National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC), a federal agency tasked with coordinating interstate fire prevention and suppression efforts, 83 fires are currently raging across 6 southeastern states. Eighteen of those are classified by NIFC as large and uncontained.

If you get most of your news from national TV networks, this is probably the first you’ve heard of any of this. The conversation at Thanksgiving dinner tables in the South last week wasn’t about politics; it was about drought and burn bans and fire risk. Instead of studying up on how to talk to their uncles about Donald Trump, people were asking where they could find hay for their livestock and how the lack of water was slowly killing their farmland.

Former Intelligence Officer: 15% of Refugees are ISIS

The shockingly high figure comes from one of LTC(R) Shaffer’s sources involved with the refugee flows.

Last week we saw CIA head John Brennan testify that ISIS has “a large cadre” of foreign fighters to serve in attacking the West, and also that ISIS was probably using refugee flows as a means of vectoring its agents into the West.  Now a former high-level intelligence officer claims that he has a source that gives a more specific figure.  At least fifteen percent of refugees are ISIS, according to LTC(R) Anthony Shaffer of the London Center for Policy Research.  The claim came in an interview Shaffer gave to a radio show hosted by Larry O’Connor and Brian Wilson on WMAL.  (You can listen to the interview here.)
