It’s always time to Remember:
Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed our Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776?
Here is their story and… Here is our heritage: Can We Live Up Too It ?
Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died.
Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned.
Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.
Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships during the Revolutionary War. But they signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.
What kind of men were they ?
Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants.
Nine were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well educated.
But they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured.
Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags.
Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his final reward.
Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton , Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.
At the battle of Yorktown, Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire on his home. His home was completely destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt and a pauper.
Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.
John Hart was driven from his wife’s bedside as she lay dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year Hart was forced to lived in forests and caves, returning home only to find his wife dead and his children vanished.
So, take a few minutes while enjoying your up and coming Veterans Day on November the 11th, 2015 and silently thank these patriots. It’s not much to ask for the high price they paid to secure our freedoms for the past 239 years.
And remember my friends that :…. freedom is never free!
Think about the sacrifices that made and written here the next time Obama takes a little more of your freedom away, and ask yourself for the following grace………
“Please Lord, make me as strong in will and give the the same courage you gave my forefathers in this coming battle, else Freedom will die where it was born…..in America”.

I’M READY(WELL- REALLY NEED MORE AMMO), WILLING, AND MORE THAN ABLE TO FIGHT TO THE DEATH FOR THE RIGHTS AND LIBERTIES BESTOWED UPON ME BY MY FOREFATHERS. AM I EXPECTING AND READY FOR ANOTHER CIVIL WAR- YEP! SIMPLY BECAUSE OF 2 REASONS. 1- OBUMMA AND THAT HAG PEOPLE CALL THE “FIRST LADY” HAVE DONE NOTHING BUT ABUSE THE POWER-PRIVILEGE-PRESTIGE-HONOR(NOT THAT THEY KNOW WHAT THAT IS)-AND RESPECT THAT THEIR POSITIONS ALLOW & REQUIRE. ON THE VERY FIRST 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION AFTER OBUMMAS SWEARING IN(ALOT OF GOOD THAT DID), THE “RAG”(AS IN RAGHEAD) AND THE HAG WERE BEING TAPED FROM A DISTANCE. WHILE HEARING THE WORDS WERE IMPOSSIBLE- THE READING OF THE LIPS COULD HAVE BEEN DONE BY A HOG. THE “HAG” SAID “ALL THIS FOR A DAMN FLAG”, AND THE “RAG” JUST GENTLY NODDED HIS HEAD UP AND DOWN. NOW I- LIKE MANY OTHERS- ARE TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOTS AND THAT ACTION ALONE IS ENOUGH TO MAKE YOURSELF NOT ONLY AN ENEMY FOR LIFE, BUT MAKE YOURSELF A FOCAL POINT TO MONITOR FOR FURTHER TRANSGRESSIONS. I’VE SWORN TO HONOR AND PROTECT THIS COUNTRY FROM ALL ENEMIES- FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC- AND THIS ACTION ALONE IS ENOUGH FOR ONE TO WONDER ABOUT HIS TRUE IDEALS. NOT TO MENTION I’M 1/4 CHEROKEE- LIVING IN A COUNTRY THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE HONORABLE- TO SET THE EXAMPLE FOR ALL OTHER COUNTRIES- AND I’M IN NO WAY POSSIBLE ABLE TO BELIEVE A SINGLE WORD COMING FROM “RAGS” MOUTH. 2- DOES ANYONE BELIEVE, I MEAN REALLY TRULY BELIEVE THIS MUSLIM OREO (HE IS HALF BLACK & HALF WHITE-EVERYONE KNOWS THIS, RIGHT?) WHO’S BECOME VERY COMFORTABLE TREKKING AROUND OUR COUNTRY AT WILL, BREAKING SOME OF THE MOST TERRIBLE LAWS WE HAVE AND GETTING AWAY WITH IT, BYPASSING ANYTHING HE DOESN’T LIKE FROM CONGRESS WITH A “PEN AND PAPER”, HE’S JUST GONNA GIVE ALL THAT UP IN 2016? REALLY? DOES ANYONE TRULY BELIEVE THAT? NOT I PEOPLE. A WAR IS COMING- AND SOON. AND IT WILL DECIDE THE FATE OF THIS AND OTHER COUNTRIES- AND POSSIBLY OUR WORLD.
