Sheriff Joe Arpaio is being accused of withholding records. Federal agents removed hundreds of id cards and hard drives from his office, under the orders of a federal judge.

Judge Murray Snow held an emergency court hearing after learning that the Sheriff allegedly failed to hand over the items that are part of the investigation.

It’s just one of the latest allegations against Sheriff Joe Arpaio. They include allegations of racial profiling that he conducted an investigation into Judge Snow, and now his office may have kept evidence from the court.

Federal Agents seized about 1,400 identification cards, and 50 hard drives. It’s the stash of evidence that Judge Snow says Arpaio failed to hand over.

“The judge has finally put his foot down, he’s drawn a line on the sand a long time ago, and I’ll tell you what, he’s had it up to here with the Sheriff’s Office again, has refused to comply with the courts order,” said Lydia Guzman.

The ID’s and hard drives are part of the racial profiling case against the Sheriff. Deputies are accused of pocketing the ID’s during immigration busts. The hard drives pertain to Arpaio’s investigation of Judge Snow.

The judge learned that the ID cards were set to be destroyed, so he ordered the U.S. Marshals to seize the items.

“I believe they intended to destroy them so that the truth never came out about how those documents came to be, where they came from, who conducted those stops,” said Guzman.

MCSO Chief Deputy Jerry Sheridan denied any wrongdoing.

“We have never been requested to turn those over until today when the court ordered us to,” said Jerry Sheridan.

Two More Former Gitmo Detainees Arrested in Terror Raid in Belgium

Former Gitmo detainee Moussa Zemmouri was arrested in a terror sting this week in Belgium.

Moussa Zemmouri authored a book “Innocent at Guantanamo” after returning to Belgium.

Two former Guantanamo detainees were arrested this week in a counterterrorism operation.

Two former detainees at the Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba were arrested by Belgian police in a counterterrorism operation targeting a recruiting network for al Qaeda in Syria.

They were arrested Wednesday night along with three others as they were about to break into a house to raise funds in the town of Hoboken, near Antwerp, a senior Belgian counterterrorism official told CNN.

“We have dismantled a serious recruiting network for Syria,” the official told CNN.

One of the former Guantanamo Bay detainees was Moussa Zemmouri, 37, a Moroccan national born in Antwerp, Belgian federal prosecutors announced Friday. The other was an Algerian identified as Soufiane A., who prosecutors believe spent time in Syria.

Both have been charged with participating in the activities of a terrorist group and all five have been charged with attempted armed robbery.

Zemmouri was released from Guantanamo in 2005 and authored a book “Innocent at Guantanamo” after returning to Belgium. His case was featured prominently by the UK Muslim prisoner advocacy group CAGE, which has long maintained that he has no links to terrorism.

According to a 2003 detainee assessment file posted by the WikiLeaks website, Zemmouri was transferred to U.S. custody after he was detained by Pakistani police when fleeing Afghanistan after the beginning of the U.S. bombing campaign in autumn 2001.

If Vienna fell to Islam, all of Western Europe would be likely to follow. After a two-month siege of Vienna, relief forces from Poland and Germany arrived.

The battle for relief of Vienna began on September 11, 1683, and ended with the rout of the Islamic forces the following day. On September 11, 1697, Prince Eugene caught and routed a large Islamic army and delivered a decisive blow at the Battle of Zenta.

In keeping with the September 11 theme, the British established a mandate for Palestine on September 11, 1922, and at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, eleven Israeli athletes were killed on September 11. Millions of Islamists remember the humiliations of September and seek to humiliate the “Great Satan,” the United States. Thus the attacks on the World Trade Towers and the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, and on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.

Islamic jihad can be defeated, and it can be done in less time than it took to defeat the USSR in the Cold War. Our strategy, however, must be tailored to the times and circumstances.

Obama Pledges to Use Last 18 Months in Office Pushing Gun Control

(CNSNews.com) – President Obama on Thursday pledged to use his last 18 months in office to work on gun control, calling it “the one area where I feel that I’ve been most frustrated and most stymied.”

“If you ask me where has been the one area where I feel that I’ve been most frustrated and most stymied, it is the fact that the United States of America is the one advanced nation on earth in which we do not have sufficient, common-sense gun safety laws – even in the face of repeated mass killings,” he told the BBC in an interview.

“And if you look at the number of Americans killed since 9/11 by terrorism, it’s less than 100. If you look at the number that have been killed by gun violence, it’s in the tens of thousands,” Obama continued.

“For us not to be able to resolve that issue has been something that is distressing, but it is not something that I intend to stop working on in the remaining 18 months.”

In the U.S., at least 34 Americans have been killed in terror attacks since 9/11. Those attacks include the 2009 killing of 13 people at Fort Hood, Texas, the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, and the Chattanooga, Tennessee shootings last week which cost the lives of four U.S. Marines and a sailor.

Abroad, another 363 U.S. citizens have been killed in terror attacks since 9/11, according to data accumulated from State Department country reports on terrorism – or in years where data is incomplete, from the department’s Bureau of Consular Affairs’ record of citizens killed due to “terrorist action.”
