Walmart Drops Merchandise With Confederate Flag, Still Sells Items With Che Guevara

Retail giant Walmart has decided to drop selling merchandise with the Confederate flag on it, in light of the recent shooting in South Carolina where Dylann Roof — a racist — murdered nine people.

Photos of Roof were uncovered featuring him with a Confederate flag, thus it’s once again been relegated to a racist symbol, something Walmart claims it wants nothing to do with.

There’s just one teeny, tiny problem.

The store still sells merchandise with Che Guevara on it, a Communist murderer who hated blacks.

Seems a little inconsistent, don’t you think?

Walmart and Sears, two of the country’s largest retailers, will remove all Confederate flag merchandise from their stores.

The announcements are the latest indication that the flag, a symbol of the slave-holding South, has become toxic in the aftermath of a shooting last week at a historic African-American church in Charleston, South Carolina. Gov. Nikki Haley announced in a Monday afternoon news conference that she supports removing the Confederate flag from the state capitol grounds.

As of Monday afternoon, Walmart.com carried the Confederate flag as well as attire featuring the flag’s design, such as T-shirts and belt buckles.

“We never want to offend anyone with the products that we offer. We have taken steps to remove all items promoting the confederate flag from our assortment — whether in our stores or on our web site,” said Walmart spokesman Brian Nick. “We have a process in place to help lead us to the right decisions when it comes to the merchandise we sell. Still, at times, items make their way into our assortment improperly — this is one of those instances.”

This statement doesn’t exactly appear to be true when you continue to sell items featuring the face of a notorious freedom hating murderer who also had a strong dislike for blacks.

Walmart is selling several posters and prints glorifying dead communist thug Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara. Guevara was a notorious anti-Black racist from Argentina who murdered hungry children and became an icon for leftists around the world for his role in the 1959 communist takeover of Cuba.

In 2006, Walmart competitor Target pulled a CD carrying case with a Che Guevara image after customers complained, according to the AP.

In 2012 Urban Outfitters stopped selling Che Guevara posters in response to customer outrage.

Walmart has several pages of Che Guevara merchandise for sale on its Website. While books and movies about Guevara are not objectionable, posters and fine art prints glorifying Guevara that Walmart also sells crosses a line to de facto endorsement of the racist, communist murderer.

A Cuban exile by the name of Humberto Fontova wrote about Guevara’s racism toward blacks in a 2009 column for a publication called Human Events. Here’s an excerpt.

“Racism is one of the cornerstones of the Castro regime. As Fidel’s close friend and ally, the murderous Ernesto “Che” Guevara, once said, “The Negro is indolent and spends his money on frivolities, whereas the European is forward-looking, organized and intelligent… We’re going to do for blacks exactly what blacks did for the Cuban revolution. By which I mean: nothing!””

Well now, if retailers aren’t going to sell the Confederate flag because they say it has ties to racism, shouldn’t they stop selling Che Guevara junk too?

Oh, that’s right! It’s okay to be a racist jerk as long as your a LEFTIST racist jerk. How silly of me to forget!

Progressives hail Guevara as a hero and seem to overlook his massive flaws — like being a murderer and a racist — while in the same breath condemning our Founding Fathers.

Give me a break.

Hey, Walmart. Show a little consistency in your beliefs and get rid of the Guevara junk if you’re going to go PC on us.

Otherwise, you just look silly.
