In case anyone missed it, the worst case scenario – a trifecta from hell – just occurred. Yemen has fallen to the rebels; the King of Saudi Arabia just passed away and Iran now has the capability to drop nuclear missiles in our laps. The shadow of crisis hasn’t passed… it’s engulfed us in its stormy, dark depths.

On Tuesday, as Obama bloviated on about how, “The shadow of crisis has passed and the state of the Union is strong,” Iran was testing their new toys and Yemen was coming apart at the seams. You remember Yemen… that success story that Obama touted last fall, just like Biden clucked on about Iraq. The shining example for all the world to see on how Obama’s fight against terrorism was working. Except, as with every other lie Obama has put forth on the foreign policy front, it has failed. Now we are evacuating the embassy in Yemen – in fact, during Obama’s speech, we had three US Naval warships off the coast of Yemen ready to evacuate the embassy. Think about that. Just like Libya, another embassy is being emptied. At least this time, no dead American bodies are being left in its wake.

An illegal immigrant from the Middle east was arrested Wednesday during a burglary in Plano.
WFAA reported:

The arrest of a burglary suspect in Plano on Wednesday could represent a break in a string of more than two dozen similar crimes since last October.

Riashat Ishmam, 17, provided authorities with the critical and timely information they needed to make take a man into custody. He had been playing games on the computer when the doorbell rang.

“Thirty seconds later, he starts vigorously knocking on the door,” the teenager said.

Riashat took us through his house and explained how he narrowly escaped an encounter with a burglar.

“I go in and lock the door and I go into the bathroom,” he said, standing on the second floor of his parents’ Plano home.

Riashat didn’t know where the intruder was at the time, but later realized the burglar broke through a back window screen. Plano police would later identify the burglar as Farhood Sani Allahdadi, 28, of McKinney.

Riashat told News 8 that Allahdadi had also broken through the bedroom door with force. The door was shattered around the doorknob.

A panicked teen only had his phone with him — but it was all he needed.

“Since this door doesn’t have a lock, I just stood still after I called 911, and luckily he didn’t even check the bathroom,” Riashat said.

The young man said he heard Allahdadi combing through drawers and moving quickly. But the intruder did not get far, because officers arrived within six minutes of that phone call and picked up Allahdadi as he climbed out the window.

Farhood Allahdadi is being held on an immigration hold.

There is a 94-year-old World War II vet in Ohio who just wants to pay his taxes but can’t because the IRS says he’s dead.

Siegfried Meinstein has been unable to convince the IRS he is alive, living in an assisted living facility near Columbus, Ohio. The IRS has told the nonagenarian it can’t process his tax return because their records indicate he is deceased.

“It isn’t really a problem in my daily life,” Meinstein told the Columbus Dispatch Friday. “Everybody accepts my money.”

The issue with IRS has also prompted some good natured ribbing from his son.

“If they keep insisting, what is it you say?” Ron Meinstein told his father who broke his hip in a swimming pool accident but is otherwise in good health. “Eventually, they’ll be right.”

Christian Persecution Worldwide Has Become A Metastasizing Cancer

The “cancer of Christian persecution is metastasizing” in an “epidemic” that is “spreading at an unprecedented rate in modern times,” stated Open Doors USA president David Curry at a January 7 briefing in Washington, DC’s National Press Club.  Curry’s presentation before an audience of about 30 of Open Doors’ 2015 World Watch List (WWL) depressingly reviewed ongoing Christian martyrdom, often at the hands of Marxists and Muslims.

The WWL, an Open Doors press release noted, is a unique annual survey of the persecuted church worldwide, praised by Curry as the most dependable study of its kind.  Open Doors research is “meticulous,” concurred at the briefing religious freedom scholar Nina Shea from the Hudson Institute.  The WWL “ranks the top 50 countries where it is most dangerous and difficult to be a Christian,” the press release explained.  An accompanying map displayed at the briefing and available online with the report showed these countries coded by color according to persecution severity.

“Approximately 100 million Christians are persecuted worldwide, making them one of the most persecuted religious groups in the world,” the press release observed.  “This year, the threshold was higher for a country to make the list, indicating that worldwide levels of persecution have increased.”  Curry noted that the number of Christians dying for their faith has more than doubled since last year’s WWL.  “While the year 2014 will go down in history for having the highest level of global persecution of Christians in the modern era,” the press release elaborated, “current conditions suggest the worst is yet to come.”

Remember how Richard Nixon told us to watch what he does, not what he says?  Good advice.  Well, Barack Obama — our POTUS who makes Nixon and Clinton seem like Diogenes — thinks like a postmodern agnostic, professes to be a Christian, but acts like a Shiite.

During Obama’s presidency the influence of Ayatollah Khamenei’s Iranian Shiite regime has spread across the world like the proverbial wildfire, reaching from North Africa into Iraq, Lebanon (via Hezbollah), Syria (via Assad whose red line on chemical weapons famously faded into invisibility), Gaza (via improved relations with Hamas) and now into Yemen (via the Houthis) and undoubtedly a number of other places, including Venezuela, North Korea and Cuba.  And our president, consciously or unconsciously or both, has had as much to do as anyone with the creation of this nascent, soon-to-be nuclear armed and missile-ready  fundamentalist “Greater Persia.”  No wonder the Sunni Saudis are alarmed — they have been for a long time — and no wonder Obama suddenly decided to replace Biden in paying a condolence visit to Riyadh for the death of King Abdullah.  He has some powerful fence-mending to do that pretend bowing and scraping may not so easily solve.
