Last October, thirty members of Congress sent a letter to the Department of Justice demanding an immediate investigation into the DOJ’s Operation Choke Point which is being used by the government to attack enterprises the Obama administration opposes. Gun businesses have been at the top of the list.
These businesses are vulnerable and serve as easy marks. The government has done a good job convincing people guns are responsible for crimes.
There is at least one smoking gun that possibly proves the DOJ operation is being used to destroy some businesses including gun manufacturers.
What is happening is this: Because of pressure from the DOJ, banks and payment processors are denying or terminating loans and restrict access to payment systems for law-abiding and legitimate businesses such as gun manufacturers to avoid unwarranted investigations and legal actions by the DOJ and federal financial regulators. It’s all being done under Operation Choke Point.
The United States will be increasing the number of Syrian refugees allowed to resettle in the U.S. over the next few years, Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees and Migration Anne Richard said in an interview with Al-Monitor, a website focused on Middle East news, on Tuesday.
Richard said the U.S. plans to absorb up to 10,000 refugees annually, up from 350 this year — a significant uptick despite its drop-in-the-bucket effect on the total Syrian refugee population of 3.3 million.
A separate official noted to ABC News that the increase will happen gradually.
“The Syrian program is relatively new, so I think we’ll begin to see an appreciable uptick in 2015 with an increasing number in the years to follow,” the official said.
The official explained that the U.S. receives about 1,000 new Syrian referrals from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees each month.
Homegrown terrorism may be even closer than we feared.
A new report indicates that the FBI is aware of 22 Islamic “communes” inside the United States. These are allegedly run by a Pakistani group known as Jamaat al-Fuqra, through a more friendly sounding organization called “Muslims of the Americas” (MOA).
The locations are described by federal law enforcement as “communal living sites.” However, documents show that these sites provide paramilitary training and indoctrination to Islamic recruits — and they may be preparing for jihad.
“The documented propensity for violence by this organization supports the belief the leadership of the MOA extols members to pursue a policy of jihad or holy war against individuals or groups it considers enemies of Islam, which includes the U.S. Government,” stated a document that the Clarion Project said it obtained from the FBI.
