Having secured for himself the most expensive suite of all the leaders at the G-20 meeting in Brisbane, Australia on November 15th, The Daily Mail reports that President Obama’s 4,096-room entourage of security guards and assistants cost taxpayers a stunning $1.732 million for the one-night-stand against Putin. “Some folks are being ripped off…”

As The Daily Mail reports,

The president’s own room was the most expensive of all the world leaders at the summit as he based himself at the $2,000 (AUS$2,500) a night Marriott Hotel.

Meanwhile, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott opted for the thrifty $270-a-night Rydges hotel, while Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe required just $170 of public funds for his stay at Novotel.

China’s Xi Jinping came closest to Obama’s bill, spending $1,450 on his room, followed by UK Prime Minister David Cameron, who handed British taxpayers a $1,070 bill for his stay.

And as The Weekly Standard adds,

The estimated total cost for the three hotels was about $1,732,000; based on an estimated 4,096 room nights, the per room cost comes to $423 per night.

The Justification documents for the three contracts state that the cost is “fair and reasonable based on the pricing available across the city of Brisbane at the time of the visit.”

Finally, the G-20 leaders were up-in-arms over Putin moving 3 warships near Australia’s waters… how did they feel about Obama invading them with over 4000 Americans?
