Larry Klayman, the former Justice Department lawyer and founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch, has filed a lawsuit to get President Barack Obama deported.
WND reports that Klayman has sent a deportation petition to Sarah Kendall of the Office of Fraud Detection and National Security at the Department of Homeland Security, Thomas Homan of Enforcement Removal Operations at DHS and Thomas Winkowksi of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Klayman said that his request is based on allegations that Barack Obama used falsified documents, including a birth certificate, in order to obtain a U.S. passport.
The attorney cited investigative work previously done by Maricopa County, Ariz., Sheriff Joe Arpaio and a “team of experts” he assembled to review the president’s birth certificate, which concluded that the document had been forged.
He claims that Hawaii, still a relatively new state at the time of Obama’s birth in 1961, may not have had all of its “procedures to operate as a new state” in place, which could have allowed a parent to lawfully request a birth certificate from the state even for a child born in a foreign country.
Klayman’s filing claims that Obama is guilty of document fraud, falsely claiming citizenship and willful misrepresentation.
“In sum, deportation proceedings should be immediately commenced, an investigation undertaken, a full evidentiary hearing held, and Barack Hussein Obama should be removed from the United States,” Klayman wrote in the petition.
It seems to us that if federal authorities were going to question Barack Obama’s citizenship, it would certainly have happened before now, and we therefore don’t really expect to see anything come of this.
However, Klayman’s petition does shed light on two important issues. One is the pervading sense of secrecy that has surrounded President Obama despite his claim to run the most transparent presidency in the history of the United States.
The second is the growing level of frustration among those — on both sides of the aisle — who feel that this president is ignoring the law in order to further his own agenda.
It’s hard to disagree with that.
