Wait, didn’t Obama claim Yemen as one of his “successes” against Al Qaeda? If evacuating personnel and running is success, then yes, brilliantly done.

An Al Qaeda splinter group launched a rocket attack on the U.S. embassy in Sanaa on Saturday, injuring several guards, to retaliate for what it said on social media was a U.S. drone strike in a northern province the day before.

The rocket landed 200 metres from the heavily fortified embassy, which lies in a compound surrounded by high walls, hitting members of the Yemeni special police force who guard the site. At least two were injured, police said.

The attacker fired the rocket from a M72 light anti-tank weapon from a car before speeding away, a police source told Reuters.

Several hours after the attack, Ansar al-Sharia, an affiliate of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), said on its Twitter account it had targeted the embassy with a rocket, injuring several guards and damaging a vehicle.

On Friday, the United States told its citizens in Yemen to leave and said it was reducing the number of U.S. government staff there due to political unrest and fears of a possible military escalation.

OKLAHOMA MUSLIM BEHEADS 54 YEAR-OLD WOMAN–

Muslim convert Alton Nolen beheads woman in Oklahoma, officials say.
He was a recent convert to Islam.

Colleen Hufford, 54, was killed when she was beheaded in the attack. According to authorities, there was no relation between the suspect and the two victims.

Officials with the Moore Police Department say the FBI is now involved in the investigation related to a brutal attack of workers at a food distribution plant.

Sgt. Jeremy Lewis says the alleged suspect, 30-year-old Alton Nolen had just been fired when he drove to the front of the business, hit a vehicle and walked inside.

He walked into the front office area where he met 54-year-old Colleen Hufford and began attacking her with a knife.

Sgt. Lewis confirms the type of knife used in the attack is the same kind used at the plant.

Lewis confirms that Hufford was stabbed several times and that Nolen “severed her head.”

At that point, Lewis claims Nolen met 43-year-old Traci Johnson and began attacking her with the same knife.

Officials say at that point, Mark Vaughn, an Oklahoma County reserve deputy and a former CEO of the business, shot him as he was actively stabbing Johnson.

“He’s a hero in this situation,” Sgt. Lewis said, referring to Vaughn. “It could have gotten a lot worse.”…

…The FBI is now looking into Nolen’s background after his former co-workers said he tried to convert them to Islam after recently converting himself.

Nolen’s criminal history dates back to 2011, including possession of a controlled substance, escape from detention and assault and battery on a police officer. According to the Oklahoma State Courts Network and The Heavy, Nolen has arrested for marijuana possession in 2009, assault and battery on a police officer in 2010, a traffic violation in 2006, driving with a suspended license in 2009, and cocaine with intent to distribute in 2006.

Through interviews with Nolen’s co-workers at the business, the Moore PD learned that the suspect had recently attempted to convert co-workers to the Muslim faith. The Moore PD has contacted the FBI in an effort to look more into Nolen’s background.
