United Nations Civilian Disarmament Job Openings in New York

In January, the federal government put up an RFI/Sources Sought listing for “Escort Services for Unaccompanied Alien Children” making it clear that the feds expected the border to be overwhelmed by “approximately 65,000″ unaccompanied illegal alien children in the near future. Less than half a year later, the tsunami hit as planned.

Now it’s the United Nations that needs help. Specifically, people are needed to work out of New York who have experience in DDR.

DDR used to stand for Deutsche Demokratische Republik, i.e., communist East Germany, a totalitarian hellhole. In a sense, the meaning hasn’t changed much. Now DDR stands for disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration. The United Nations describes it like this:

Disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR) has become an integral part of post-conflict peace consolidation, featuring prominently in the mandates of peacekeeping operations over the last twenty years.

DDR activities are crucial components of both the initial stabilization of warn-torn societies as well as their long-term development. …

Disarmament is the collection, documentation, control and disposal of small arms, ammunition, explosives and light and heavy weapons from combatants and often from the civilian population.

Demobilization is the formal and controlled discharge of active combatants from armed forces and groups, including a phase of “reinsertion” which provides short-term assistance to ex-combatants.

Reintegration is the process by which ex-combatants acquire civilian status and gain sustainable employment and income. It is a political, social and economic process with an open time-frame, primarily taking place in communities at the local level.

Excuse the paranoia, but you could almost get the impression that the UN is recruiting people to disarm the American population. Someone who knows more than we do may be expecting it to hit the fan soon.

No wonder Obama still looks so smug, even as his presidency disintegrates.

 

 

 

Doubling Down on Operation Choke Point

The sheer evil brilliance of Obama’s minions never ceases to amaze me. They are tenacious in their efforts to find ways to circumvent the Constitution and our laws – they simply never give up. There is no better example of this currently than Operation Choke Point. They were caught in 2013 targeting legal industries they did not approve of by bullying banks and other financial institutions into cutting off funds to those whose activities were not ‘acceptable.’ Specifically, the gun industry:

Last year the Department of Justice partnered with the FDIC and the Federal Trade Commission to put a whole host of industries (and their customers) on a “high-risk” list and urged banks to pay close attention to those industries as part of Operation Choke Point.

Storefront gun dealers, online dealers and ammunition dealers are on the “high risk” list, along with porn and other salacious products (as if they’re even comparable, the Second Amendment is constitutional right, yet it’s on the DOJ hit list). DOJ argues the program is needed to stop fraud, but that’s a lie. The program is used to target politically inconvenient industries without the permission of Congress.

The document bears the signature of the Acting Qatari Embassy in Libya, Nayef Abdullah Al Emadi, in which he wrote that “the volunteers completed military and combat training with heavy weapons, especially in the camps Zintan, Benghazi, Zawiya and Misrata in Libya” suggesting to send these fighters in three batches over the Libyan ports to Turkey, and then to enter northern Iraq through Kurdistan.

Emadi noted that “these groups will be ready by next week,” and “We call on the need to accelerate in coordination with the Turkish side to receive the fighters in the appropriate port, and let us know the appropriate dates to send those groups.”

Yes, this is the same country Obama just made a ‘deal’ with to keep the five Taliban GITMO detainees from returning to the battlefield for at least a year. I’m sure that’s going to happen.

For all my friends who continue to call for a “special counsel” — meaning an independent prosecutor — for the IRS scandal, I have one simple question:

If you believe, as I do, that President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder are corruptly covering up the conspiracy by the executive branch and congressional Democrats to violate the constitutional rights of conservative groups, what makes you think they would appoint a scrupulous lawyer to investigate and expose the conspiracy?

Yes you read that headline correctly – and unfortunately. The only conundrum for me here is this: is this story best placed under the heading of idiotic, loony, moonbat political correctness, or the triumph of creeping sharia? I guess it properly belongs under both headings.

When I first heard about this, it was so overwhelmingly incredible, bizarre and mind-numbing, that I assumed it could not be a true story. But with even the BBC now getting into the act and reporting it, I guess it sadly is true. However I am still almost left without words over this.

The story as one write-up has it goes like this:

Two people who threw bacon and wrapped it around door handles at a mosque in Scotland were sent to prison on Friday. Douglas Cruikshank, 39, and Chelsea Lambie, 18, were convicted over the attack at Edinburgh’s Central Mosque in January last year. The consumption of pork is forbidden in Islam.

A court in Scotland’s capital heard that the pair were associated with the far-right Scottish Defence League.

Cruikshank, of Galashiels in southern Scotland, was sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment and Lambie, from Paisley near Glasgow, was ordered to spend 12 months in an institute for young offenders. They had both been convicted of threatening and abusive behaviour.

A third man, 25-year-old Wayne Stilwel from Gorebridge near Edinburgh, was sentenced to 10 months in prison in September over the attack. “The Muslim community are a valued and integral part of Scottish society and there is no place for such attacks in modern Scotland,” said state prosecutor John Logue after the sentencing.

The longer BBC report adds other bits of information, including:

A security guard at the mosque told the trial of the offence the bacon would have caused to Muslims. Usman Mahmood said: “I was surprised if a person did it for a joke. It is against our culture and religion. We do not eat pork or even touch it. I felt very bad seeing this meat in my sacred place. It hurt my feelings when I saw this meat hanging inside the mosque in the worshipping area. It was very disturbing.” The court heard that during a police interview Lambie had admitted being a member of the Scottish Defence League. The pair were accused of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear and alarm.

Wow. Double wow. Where does one begin with all this? Throwing bacon is now a criminal offence in Scotland, and you can spend a year in jail for daring to do it?! And the basis for this horrific crime against humanity? As the Muslim guard said, “It hurt my feelings”.

So now you can be thrown into the slammer with the key thrown away for hurting someone’s feelings? Really? Or more specifically, for hurting the feelings of a Muslim? Well guess what Jack, my feelings are hurt too – and big time. They are hurt over this sheer idiocy and diabolical political correctness.

And they are hurt all the more because of the reality of creeping sharia. There is no more need for me to write articles about this. If this incredible episode does not convince you that stealth jihad and creeping sharia have won the day in the West, then you will not be convinced even if an airplane flies into your home with cries of Allahu Akbar ringing out.

Also, did you get the reason why they got this prison sentence? Because they were acting in a “manner likely to cause fear and alarm”. Umm, excuse me. I would have thought that behavior likely to cause such fear and alarm would include the following:

-massacring all those who do not submit to Allah
-flying jets into skyscrapers
-running around with explosives strapped to your body
-cutting off the heads of infidels
-promising to kill all non-believers
-acid attacks and honor killings
-forced marriages and child brides
-declaring your hatred of freedom and democracy

Now that is what I call “threatening or abusive” behavior. But not in dhimmi Scotland it seems. Here we have a nation so utterly duped and blinded by the PC lobby and Islamic taqiyya that they actually see the bad guys as those who warn about all this!

Those who fling a bit of bacon around are now the enemies of the state, while those who have promised to kill or enslave all infidels are elevated to the level of a protected species. Go figure.

When I was recently in England and amazed at just how far down the gurgler things had gotten there, some folks assured me that the situation was even much worse in Scotland. I found that a bit hard to believe at the time, given what a hellhole England was becoming.

Well, I certainly no longer disbelieve them.

The author has spoken to many politicos in and out of the Republican Party, disaffected Democrats, betrayed Independents, and politically nonaligned yet fully engaged folks. Particularly among the Republicans and Independents, there is a palpable fear at the prospect of impeaching Obama. They are quite literally afraid for the future of the Republic should Obama’s fake birth certificate go prime time.

Let’s face it, nothing even close has ever been perpetrated on the entire body politic. The GOP knows the seriousness of the numerous high crimes and misdemeanors (as well as felonies) which were committed — over many years — by many high-powered political operatives.  Not only would the Democratic Party be brought down by such exposure, the entire mainstream media (MSM) is deeply complicit in this multi-year crime spree against the American people.
