Tea Party Activist Blasts Mitch McConnell’s Claim They Won’t “Have a Single Nominee Anywhere in the Country”

The campaigning and gearing toward the 2014 elections continued ahead with the latest “revelation” from Mitch McConnell, the Republican from Kentucky and Senate Minority leader.  According to a statement regarding the Tea Party, McConnell said, “I think we are going to crush them everywhere.  I don’t think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country.”

Well Sen. McConnell, there are a few things that you should know although I suspect educating the stupid is pointless.  However, borrowing from George Eliot, I believe you think you are a cock who thinks the sun rises to hear you crow.  Trust me, the sun cares not about your crowing and neither does America.  You have proven countless times what a sniveling weasel of a man you truly are.  You stand for nothing and fall for everything.  You can’t pour water out of a boot even with the directions written on the heel nor could you find your way out of a paper bag when facing the open end.  You, Mr. McConnell, are more like a piece of paper drifting on the wind currents – the only direction you know is the one in which you are pushed by whichever wind is the strongest.

Muslim Brotherhood-Tied Activist to Host Fundraiser for Democrat Gerry Connolly

A Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated activist whose organization recently came under fire for holding an anti-Semitic rally in support of ousted Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi will head a fundraiser for Democratic Rep. Gerry Connolly (Va.).

U.S.-based Muslim Brotherhood allies Akram Elzend and Sameh Elhennawy will co-host a fundraiser for Connolly later this month at the Fairfax residence of Mohamed Mohamed, according to a copy of the invitation obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

Attendees of the March 22 fundraiser are asked to donate between $150 and $400 in order to attend the event, where supporters will have a chance to “express appreciation and have direct conversation with” Connolly, according to the invitation.

A form attached to the invitation asks donors to include their personal information and contains a message that the materials were “paid for and authorized by Connolly for Congress.”

The event has attracted the attention of some U.S.-based analysts who track the Muslim Brotherhood, particularly due to a pro-Morsi rally several weeks ago in New York City that featured anti-Semitic displays and was organized by a group Elzend cofounded.

BUT THIS IS STUNNING– A top Obama official this weekend told the Palestinian Al-Quds newspaper that there is no need for Palestinians to recognize Israel. Israel National News reported:

The United States believes there is no need for the Palestinian Authority (PA) to recognize Israel as a Jewish state as part of a peace agreement, State Department Spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Saturday.

Psaki, who spoke to the PA-based Arabic-language Al-Qudsnewspaper, said, “The American position is clear, Israel is a Jewish state. However, we do not see a need that both sides recognize this position as part of the final agreement.”

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has been adamant on the PA recognizing Israel as a Jewish state, explaining that the Arabs’ refusal to recognize Israel stands at the heart of the conflict.

The PA has already formally refused to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, stating that “the Arab states will never recognize a Jewish state.” PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas reiterated this position on Friday, when he told young members of his Fatah movement that “there is no way” he would recognize Israel.

It now takes Venezuelans up to six hours of standing in line to purchase food staples at the local market. Yahoo News reported:

Patricia Gamboa arrived at a government-run supermarket in western Venezuela at 2:00 am, six hours before doors opened, to be first in line and buy whatever she could get her hands on.

As dawn broke, about 200 people stood behind her outside the Bicentenario shop in San Cristobal, with numbers written on their wrists with green markers to avoid arguments over who came first.

One end of the street was blocked by one of the many barricades that demonstrators have built with trees across the city to protest, among other things, the basic food shortage plaguing their oil-rich country.

The empty store shelves are among the major grievances fueling a wave of protests that have spread to other cities and dogged President Nicolas Maduro for the past month.

Like in other parts of the country, flour, butter, cornmeal and cooking oil are hard to come buy in this city where Venezuela’s protest movement emerged on February 4.

Gamboa, the 58-year-old customer with the number one scribbled on her wrist, did not have a shopping list to feed her family of six.

What was she hoping to buy, then?

“Whatever they have,” she said, echoing the sentiment of everybody else reading, sipping coffee or sitting on the sidewalk to pass the time.

Residents can only shop at Bicentenario on certain days, which are decided by the last numbers on their ID cards. Once in line, people agreed on the wrist number system to avoid trouble, but the shop also assigns them paper numbers.

Across the city, even longer lines stretched 200 meters (yards) deep at two private supermarkets.

The citizens even have to queue for gas.

CT Police Refusing To Enforce New Anti-Gun Law

A showdown is developing between a sizable number of Connecticut state police officers and the politicians who passed into law highly restrictive gun control, gun bans, and bans on high capacity magazines.

Gun rights legal expert and activist David Hardy reported Friday that 250 law enforcement officers in Connecticut have signed an open letter stating that they will not enforce the new anti-gun and magazine laws, which they consider to be a violation of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

A major news story on these developments is due to be published soon, but Hardy received an advanced notice via email from Tyler Jackson, the head of the Connecticut Peace Officers Association, the organization that sent the open letter.
