A Florida woman who has been living “off the grid” for more than a year will be forced to partially plug in or face consequences from the city, a special magistrate ruled last week.
In December, Robin Speronis became engaged in a dispute with the city of Cape Coral for her refusal to use modern amenities such as running water and electricity. A code enforcement officer at the time visited her home and deemed it as “uninhabitable property.”

Terrorist supporter Susan ‘Medea’ Benjamin spoke sympathetically of al Qaeda terrorists in a speech to a leftist group in Miami, Florida last week.
Benjamin, co-founder of the leftist front group Code Pink, spoke on February 18th to a gathering of fellow leftists at Florida International University according to a report by the leftist site FightBack!News.
“Medea Benjamin spoke about her travels to American-created war zones and areas being targeted by U.S. drones. She described tragic encounters with families of those murdered by American drones in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Somalia – including the mother of three sons who were all targeted and killed by drone strikes.
“”It is horrible that there are so many innocent casualties,” she said. “But even those actually targeted by drones and labeled as ‘militants’ are usually young people who join organizations like Al Qaeda because they don’t have much and have run out of options. Hearing their families speak about them was like hearing about young people who decide to join gangs in the U.S.””
Yes, Susie, people who join al Qaeda–the world-renowned terrorist group famous for the 9/11 attacks on America–are doing so for the paycheck, not the promise of eternal life with 72 virgins and the chance to slaughter Americans, Jews and anti-Islamist Muslims with bombings, plane hijackings and suicide attacks.
Benjamin also fails to note that many al Qaeda terrorists are well educated sons (and daughters) of privilege.
Last year Benjamin and her Code Pink co-leader—and Obama bundler—Jodie Evans traveled to Yemen where they met with the father of slain al Qaeda spiritual leader Anwar al-Awlaki and raised funds for the families of al Qaeda terrorists.
Such talk and terrorist alliances have not prevented Code Pink from working with President Barack Obama and leaders in the Democratic Party.

In recent days I have been drawn into yet another debate over presidential eligibility, as specified in Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution. Given that Barack Obama has occupied the Oval Office illegally for more than five years, without so much as a whimper of protest from most American voters or the mainstream media, some may feel that any further discussion of this matter may be akin to “beating a dead horse.” Nevertheless, if we insist on referring to ourselves as a constitutional republic, and if we continue to insist that we honor constitutional principles and the rule of law, then we have no choice but to understand precisely what the Founders intended when they drafted our governing document in 1787.
What generated my recent exchange on the subject of presidential eligibility was an article in the January 31, 2014 edition of pegAlert, the newsletter of the Pennsylvania Business Council. The article in question was titled, “SANTORUM PREPPING FOR ANOTHER RUN IN 2016.”

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is claiming that it is backing off of its Orwellian plans to intimidate newsrooms across America into joining the Obama Revolution in “transforming America.” Their latest message is, in essence, if you like your sources of news, you can keep your sources of news. But just like when President Obama made that promise as it related to your doctors and your health care plan, they don’t mean it for a second. It’s just what they believe they need to say at this time to deceive the public and advance their agenda.
The FCC was due to start its Critical Information Needs (CIN) survey in Columbia, South Carolina last week amid a media firestorm over this regulatory body’s decision to peer into newsrooms’ news-making philosophies and story selection criteria. Now the FCC says it will revise the study but still move forward with it, which raises as many questions as they sought to quell. For example, an article in National Review Online says that up to now, the FCC “has been consistently blocked in its efforts to establish race-based media ownership rules-on the grounds that it did not have data to justify such rulemaking.” But, it adds, there is now “a movement to make the CIN a mechanism for gathering such data.” As The Daily Caller points out, this “raises a new concern that the FCC may use the new version to revise media ownership rules and base them on race.”
Socialism is not the Answer
