Supreme Court OKs Obama Impeachment Proceedings

A bipartisan coalition has asked the supreme court to give their opinion on potential impeachment proceedings against sitting president Barack Obama. The supreme court gave the green light over a month ago. However, many journalists are reporting that their stories about the proceedings and this particular story is being pulled by editors.

The Pan-Africanist view point is that Black people should be aware of what is really going on and the president Obama is not doing anything to benefit Black people, in fact he’s working against us.

This is on top of the law signed on Thursday that allows illegal immigrants to obtain a drivers’ license.

Law enforcement officials in California who arrest immigrants in the country illegally will be prohibited from detaining them for transfer to federal authorities unless they committed a serious crime under one of several bills signed Saturday by Gov. Jerry Brown to ease conditions for immigrants.

The Trust Act is the second milestone bill on immigration signed by the governor in two days. On Thursday he approved a measure allowing immigrants in the country illegally to receive California driver’s licenses.

“While Washington waffles on immigration, California’s forging ahead,” Brown said. “I’m not waiting.”

Brown’s action came as immigration advocates rallied in California and across the county to push for new immigration legislation.

While the nation’s political class has been fixated on a potential government shutdown in Washington this week, the NSA has continued to spy on all Americans and by its ambiguity and shrewd silence seems to be acknowledging slowly that the scope of its spying is truly breathtaking.

The Obama administration is of the view that the NSA can spy on anyone anywhere. The president believes that federal statutes enable the secret FISA court to authorize the NSA to capture any information it desires about any persons without identifying the persons and without a showing of probable cause of criminal behavior on the part of the persons to be spied upon. This is the same mindset that the British government had with respect to the colonists. It, too, believed that British law permitted a judge in secret in Britain to issue general warrants to be executed in the colonies at the whim of British agents.

General warrants do not state the name of the place to be searched or the person or thing to be seized, and they do not have the necessity of individualized probable cause as their linchpin. They simply authorize the bearer to search wherever he wishes for whatever he wants. General warrants were universally condemned by colonial leaders across the ideological spectrum — from those as radical as Sam Adams to those as establishment as George Washington, and from those as individualistic as Thomas Jefferson to those as big-government as Alexander Hamilton. We know from the literature of the times that the whole purpose of the Fourth Amendment — with its requirements of individualized probable cause and specifically identifying the target — is to prohibit general warrants.

And yet, the FISA court has been issuing general warrants and the NSA executing them since at least 2004.

Military keeps Camp David open, cuts NFL, baseball coverage to troops overseas

President Obama has visited the Navy-run presidential retreat Camp David in central Maryland only 32 times, but it is being kept open during the government shutdown for his entertainment and security at the same time the Pentagon is cutting sports coverage to hundreds of thousands of troops around the world.

A phone call to the retreat found it open, confirming a TMZ report.

Camp David is one of the most highly secure areas in the nation and provides the president with a safe haven. The president has been known to shoot skeet at Camp David, which he most recently used for his 52nd birthday, according to CBS White House Correspondent Mark Knoller.

Obama has spent just 78 days at the retreat, choosing instead to spend his weekends in Washington and hitting military golf courses, which are also being kept open during the government shutdown.

In the meantime, overseas troops who typically look forward to watching NFL games and the baseball playoffs provided by the American Forces Network, will get little if any service due to the shutdown. A notice on the AFN page reads:

“GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN. Due to the government shutdown, the Defense Department can only provide limited overseas television, radio, print and web services.”

The virtual elimination of sports coverage was noticed by the New England Sports Network, co-owned by the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. “AFN provides a form of escape for many troops stationed around the world. Let’s hope the popular station gets back on the air soon,” they reported.

Did you know that Barack Obama has been secretly negotiating the most  important trade agreement since the formation of the World Trade  Organization?  Did you know that this agreement will impose very strict  Internet copyright rules, ban all “Buy American” laws, give Wall Street banks  much more freedom to trade risky derivatives and force even more domestic  manufacturing offshore?  If you have not heard about this treaty, don’t  feel bad.  Obama has refused to even give Congress a copy of the draft  agreement and he has banned members of Congress from attending the  negotiations.  The plan is to keep this treaty secret until the very  last minute and then to railroad it through Congress and have it signed  into law by October.  The treaty is known as “the Trans-Pacific  Partnership”, and the nations that are reported to be involved in the  development of this treaty include the United States, Canada, Japan, South  Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Peru, Brunei, Singapore, Vietnam and  Malaysia.  Opponents of this treaty refer to it as “the NAFTA of the  Pacific”, and if it is enacted it will push the deindustrialization of America  into overdrive.

National Park Service Blocks Access to Roadside Pull-Overs (Gannett)

 

This has gone beyond absurd. First we have the spectacle of WW II veterans being denied access to the WW II Memorial, an open air monument that never closes and is never specifically attended by anyone except the normal Park Police patrol. The patrol goes on by the way. It took added manpower to erect barriers to the monument. More insane still, the Park Police erected barriers to parking lots on federal land that serve the privately-managed and funded Mount Vernon home of America’s first president, George Washington. Finally, they shuttered a privately-owned and financed museum resting on park land in northern Virginia. This was the first time the museum was closed in 40 years.

Now we have this outrage: the National Park Service has erected cones blocking entrance to roadside pull-overs where travelers can otherwise view Mt. Rushmore. This is unprecedented. And orders for these outrages come directly from the White House Office of Management and Budget. Obama has spent money to enforce this insanity where money was never spent before. In doing this, our president – can we even call him that? – is telling America “buzz off!”

What’s more, South Dakots’s Democratic Senator, Tim Johnson, is defending the action! Nothing about the safety factor, nothing about denying public access to roadside pull-offs that have never been denied access before. Johnson spokesman Perry Plumart said, “The best way to restore access to all national parks, including Mount Rushmore, is for Speaker Boehner and the House to pass a clean continuing resolution and end the government shutdown.”

This deliberate, costly effort is all to make Republicans look bad. Meanwhile, in response to Republicans helping WW II vets access the memorial, Obama megadonor Bill Maher, the obnoxious leftist TV talk show host said of the vets: “They’re the greatest generation – nobody said they were the brightest generation.” The entire leftist infrastructure, from Obama on down, has to be relegated to the trash heap of history, where communists and all their sycophantic copycats belong.

For their part, I hope Republicans don’t back down. They are doing the right thing for a change. Obamacare is an unmitigated disaster and this President needs to learn that there is limit to the abuse he can dish out beyond which we will say “enough.”
