In an alarming development, word comes from Mark Levin and others in Congress that the President is prepping to raise the debt ceiling unilaterally. You know — usurping the power of the purse granted solely to Congress. That ladies and gentlemen, is impeachment worthy.

Army records obtained by NBC 5 Investigates details how the U.S. government spent nearly $5 million to convict Nidal Hasan in the Fort Hood massacre — crimes for which he wanted to plead guilty.

After several months of filing requests, NBC 5 Investigates received the first detailed accounting of the costs related to the court martial and trial for the former Army psychiatrist convicted of killing 13 and injuring 32 in a mass shooting in 2009. The total bill to U.S. taxpayers was more than $4.7 million.

Hasan, who called no witnesses in his defense and asked only a few questions during the trial, wanted to plead guilty to the charges against him but was forbidden to do so by military law, so a trial had to be held.

Why Have Border Patrol Agents Been Ordered To “Stand Down?”

In light of recent events showing our vulnerabilities in all areas, US  Border Patrol agents have been told to stand down. From San Diego to the Rio  Grande, this was the order given. Why? With the government in shutdown and out  of control violence gripping the nation, it is unfathomable that the government  would demand agents stop doing their jobs. Lives are at stake, a nation in  peril, but something more sinister is going on. This is just another instance  of  government “cooking the books” to make it appear that illegal immigration is  on  the down slide. It is more make believe from an administration gone rogue;  or is  this just one facet of the story?

Border Patrol is serious, life and death. The American borders have always  been extremely vulnerable, and now the government is deliberately telling  agents  to “stand down” and to stop

doing  their jobs protecting American citizens from drug cartel infiltration, an  influx  of illegal immigrants, and Islamic terrorists. What is going on? From  outside  appearances, this looks to be Obama Administration sabotage.

Obama’s Harassment of America: He Closes The Ocean!

Obama’s out of control.  This week, a Park Service ranger spoke out against Obama’s “disgusting” tactics.  “We’ve been told to make life as difficult for people as we can. It’s disgusting.”

He’s threatening Catholic priests from saying mass to the troops, he has German Shepherds guarding our nation’s war memorials AGAINST our veterans, and he’s using fear mongering with the world markets, telling them we’re going to default on our debt.

Now, Obama is harassing Americans by closing the ocean!

Just before the weekend, the National Park Service informed charter boat captains in Florida that the Florida Bay was “closed” due to the shutdown. Until government funding is restored, the fishing boats are prohibited from taking anglers into 1,100 square-miles of open ocean. Fishing is also prohibited at Biscayne National Park during the shutdown.

The Park Service will also have rangers on duty to police the ban. Of access to an ocean. The government will probably use more personnel and spend more resources to attempt to close the ocean, than it would in its normal course of business.

This is governing by temper-tantrum. It is on par with the government’s ham-fisted attempts to close the DC WWII Memorial, an open-air public monument that is normally accessible 24 hours a day. By accessible I mean, you walk up to it. When you have finished reflecting, you then walk away from it.

At least that Memorial is an actual structure, with some kind of perimeter that can be fenced off. Florida Bay is the ocean. How, pray tell, do you “close” 1,100 square miles of ocean? Why would one even need to do so?

Apparently, according to an anonymous Park Service ranger, “We’ve been told to make life as difficult for people as we can. It’s disgusting.”

Centuries ago, King Canute famously failed to command the ocean tide to stop. His display was actually a means to educate his subjects on the limits of royal power. Today, however, our President actually believes he has the power to control the oceans.

Calling All Patriots: Million Veteran March On The D.C. Memorials October 13th

A new rally is forming, “Million Vet March On The Memorials” that will be held 9am October 13, 2013 at the war memorials in Washington D.C.

The group is fed up with veterans being used as political pawns and are calling all patriots to attend, via their facebook page:

We are all military brats, current and former military spouses and some veterans. We cannot express how utterly disappointed we were that our Greatest Generation were being used as political pawns in the ongoing government shutdown and budget crisis. This should never be the case.

We do not care what political leanings you may be; be it liberal, conservative, Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Independent or whatever. The actions of the U.S. government this week with regard to barricading and shutting down the World War II Memorial to veterans, that may or may not be on their last trip to Washington DC, is a despicable act of cowardice.

Veterans this week were unwillingly pitted as pawns in this crisis. We feel that this should never be the case. This is why we will go to Congress after the budget crisis and ask for a bill to be introduced that would prevent any member of the government from closing our memorials down to any American, except for maintenance purposes. In the meantime, we will have our March in Washington DC on October 13th! Our veterans deserve that!

Many in our group have decided that enough is enough. We are Americans. We are proud of our heritage and our service. As all of us were military brats and spouses, we have served in some form or another our entire lives. This is our way of life. We will not stand by and let the U.S. government dishonor the legacy of sacrifice of the generations before us. It is time to make a stand! We hope that you will join us in our peaceful protest against anti-American policies.

Obamacare can help dead people, too.

This is apparent in Kentucky, where application forms for the state’s new Obamacare benefit exchange asks if the application is for someone who has recently died.

Question 39 on the kynect: Kentucky’s Healthcare Connection printable application form for a single person health seeking either coverage or help paying costs, states: “If you are filling out this application on behalf of a person who recently passed away, enter the deceased person’s date of death.”

“This is for Medicaid — it will pay three prior months of medical expenses for the eligible,” Gwenda Bond, a spokeswoman for the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, told The Daily Caller on Friday. “It also allows us to prevent fraud by noting the date of death, time-limited benefits.”

According to U.S. Code 18 USC Section 2339A, it is a treasonous act to  arm a State  Department-designated terrorist group. Barack Obama on September 16, 2013 signed an executive order essentially exempting himself from  the law in order to allow him to send thousands of tons of weapons to what he  calls “freedom fighters”—the Syrian rebels that openly identify with al-Qaeda.  The executive order, however, is not retroactive.  This means that the 1000 tons of weapons that our own CIA distributed to the  rebels on August 21, 2013— including thousands of shoulder-fired missiles  capable of taking down a commercial airliner—is clearly a treasonous act. In  fact, this was just one of dozens of weapon transfers prior to September 16,  2013 that the Obama administration has made to a terrorist group that murdered  thousands of Americans on 9/11.
