President Barack Obama is intervening in a Senate fight over the Keystone XL oil pipeline and personally lobbying Democrats to reject an amendment calling for its construction, according to several sources familiar with the talks.
The White House lobbying effort, including phone calls from the president to Democrats, signals that the vote could be close when it heads to the floor Thursday. The president is trying to defeat an amendment that would give election-year fodder to his Republican critics who have accused him of blocking a job-creating energy project at a time of high gas prices.
Socialism is not the Answer

It is my understanding that this pipeline could contribute 8000 or more jobs! So who do you think obama is helping now! He is just pissed off because Congress is going against his Power and Tyrant rule over the people! You know I haven’t seen the horse drawn hearst since 1963 and it may be time but in his case the hearst would be dragging him in the street I hope!

Could you answer a question for me on format and protocol of these web articles? Why is it that on one of the Webs article providers Godfather Politics that their moderator and it was printed at the bottom of their posting entry block! No one is allowed to use te term socialist, socialism or any reference to these or they literally blocked and removed your comment! They claimed this was a reference to a drug and I found that to be BS for they would not answer me when I asked what drug! I dropped them like a bad habit for their restrictive stupidity!

This pipeline could open up AT LEAST 10,000 or more NEW jobs, AND keep gas prices where they are, instead of $5 per gallon by the end of summer. I agree with the need for alternatives- but you DON’T pull a dipshit movelike this(Immediately stopping what we have been dependent on for the last 100 years). You do it gradually. The only thing gradual about obumma is how long it’s taking for America to wake up to this moron.
