Michelle Obama’s Impatience to Vacation Once Again Costs Taxpayers a Fortune

The ever industrious Comrade Obama has delayed his 17-day vacation. Once again, the Bitter Half is going ahead without him, costing taxpayers a fortune:

First lady Michelle Obama’s separate voyage to Hawaii promises to cost taxpayers tens of thousand in extra dollars, as her separate entourage and hefty flying costs pile on the costs.

The military jet flight alone is priced at more than $60,000, according to government estimates. But that’s only the beginning. The additional cargo flight that often accompanies the first lady on such a trip must also be paid for, as well as the limos and other accoutrements it will contain.

As she will be separated from the presidential security bubble, Michelle will require her own entourage of Secret Service protection, in addition to the staffers who will be leaving early to go to Hawaii with her.

Estimated bare minimum cost of Mooch’s impatience: $100,000. Good thing for her it’s someone else’s money. She recently managed to spend $10 million on vacations in one year.

Bad News for Barack Obama’s Re-Election

He is still the favorite to win.  He is the incumbent President of the United States.  He flies on a big blue airplane that gives him free media exposure whenever he lands.  He gets to bring along politicians with whom he can curry favor.  It is hard to pick off an incumbent President.

But there are warning signs on the horizon for Mr. Obama.  It is not just a sagging economy that may actually be on the way down, not up.  Battleground state voters are leaving the Democratic Party.  According to National Journal, “Over 825,000 registered Democrats in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina and Pennsylvania have departed the party rolls since President Obama’s election in 2008.”
