Cap-and-Trade: A Scam Based on a Scam

Canada Free Press

It is almost beyond comprehension that Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) and Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) will introduce the Cap-and-Trade Act on Wednesday, May 12th, for consideration by the Senate. It is being passed off as a “climate bill” with provisions for more oil drilling, but it is an assault on reality, on science, on common sense, and on any future economic growth of the nation.

The nation’s prisons are filled with men still claiming to be innocent after trials filled with evidence of their guilt. Denial of the truth is their last resort and this metaphor reflects what is happening in the utterly corrupt community of “global warming” liars and their associates in the U.S. government.

Recently 225 “scientists” wrote a letter defending global warming. It was published in the journal “Science”, one of the many such publications that have become as corrupt as those at the center of the global warming scam.

Based on last November’s leaked emails among those most responsible for the data at the heart of the global warming scam, it was revealed that the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change had been systematically publishing false climate information and analysis.

Moreover, the photo used to illustrate the “scientists” letter was photo-shopped to show a polar bear on a small piece of ice surrounded by water. The deception included the fact that many of the signatories to the letter lack credibility. Among the first 20 listed, none work in the field of climate science.

Obama’s Natural-Born Useful Idiots

Canada Free Press

For people who don’t like and don’t care what the US Constitution says, it doesn’t matter whether or not Barack Obama meets eligibility requirements for the office he currently holds. Obots, who regard the Constitution as an outdated useless piece of paper that should be burned, and our republic as nothing more than a democracy of mob rule by iron fist, see Obama’s eligibility as a laughing matter.

New York Times blogger (and deconstructionist professor of law) Stanley Fish writes – Why Bother With the Constitution? In it, he quotes from a book titled The Living Constitution,” by David A. Strauss which states—“the Constitution does not play a central role in constitutional interpretation.”

A deeper understanding of the useful idiot’s interpretation of the Constitution is found in Strauss’ book;

“In the majority of instances, Strauss argues, “the text of the Constitution will play, at most, a ceremonial role.” Even “when a case involves the Constitution, the text routinely gets no attention,” for “on a day-to-day basis, American constitutional law is about precedents, and when precedents leave off, it is about commonsense notions of fairness and good policy.”

In other words, the Constitution has no specific meaning or purpose at all. Case law, precedent setting or bench legislation is now the supreme law of our land, according to those who hate freedom, liberty and self-governance.

But for American citizens who hold the US Constitution dear, as the supreme law of this land and the foundation upon which all else rests, a government that subverts Article II—Section I for the purpose of upholding an unconstitutional and anti-American resident of the White House, is not to be trusted with anything else.

Hats Off to Charlie Daniels

HATS OFF TO CHARLIE DANIELS….AT LEAST HE HAS THE COURAGE TO SPEAK HIS MIND!!!

I don’t know how everybody else feels about it, but to me I
think Hispanic people in this country, legally or illegally,
made a huge public relations mistake with their recent demonstrations.

I don’t blame anybody in the world for wanting to come to the
United States of America , as it is a truly wonderful place.

But when the first thing you do when you set foot on American soil is illegal it is flat out wrong and I don’t care how many lala land left heads come out of the woodwork and start trying
to give me sensitivity lessons.

I don’t need sensitivity lessons, in fact I don’t have any-thing against Mexicans!  I just have something against criminals and anybody who comes into this country illegally is a criminal
and if you don’t believe it try coming into America from a foreign country without a passport and see how far you get. What disturbs me about the demonstrations is that it’s tanta-mount to saying, “I am going to come into your country even if it means breaking your laws and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

U.S. Taxpayers Start Bailing Out European Socialists

Fox Nation

WASHINGTON – The Federal Reserve late Sunday opened a program to ship U.S. dollars to Europe in a move to head off a broader financial crisis on the continent.Other central banks, including the Bank of Canada, the Bank of England, the European Central Bank, the Swiss National Bank and the Bank of Japan also are involved in the dollar swap effort.

The move comes after the European Union and International Monetary Fund pledged a nearly $1 trillion defense package for the embattled euro, hoping to calm jittery markets and halt attacks on the eurozone’s weakest members. The ECB also jumped into the bond market Sunday night, saying it is ready to buy eurozone bonds to shore up liquidity in “dysfunctional” markets.

The Fed’s action reopens a program put in place during the 2008 global financial crisis under which dollars are shipped overseas through the foreign central banks. In turn, these central banks can lend the dollars out to banks in their home countries that are in need of dollar funding to prevent the European crisis from spreading further.

Illegal Alien Gets $145k For Civil Rights Violations In N.Y.

Judicial Watch

An illegal immigrant with a lengthy criminal record got a sweet bon voyage present from New York taxpayers before finally getting deported—$145,000 for having his civil rights violated during one of his many arrests in the Empire State.

Only in America can a repeat criminal who’s in the country illegally get large sums of money from the government whose laws he repeatedly violates. In a story that may seem unreal to many Americans, the illegal alien from Barbados won a civil rights lawsuit against the New York City Department of Corrections for detaining him too long.

With a rather lengthy rap sheet for various crimes, the illegal immigrant (Cecil Harvey) had been arrested at least three times before finally being deported a few years ago after his fourth arrest. When his latest criminal case got resolved, New York City officials kept him until federal immigration authorities finally moved him for deportation.

Here is where the supposed civil rights violations took place. Harvey should have bee moved to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility within 48 hours of his state criminal case being resolved. Instead, he remained in state custody for 35 days with an ICE “detainer” or “hold” like thousands of other state inmates who are earmarked for deportation.

A civil rights advocacy group helped the illegal alien sue the state for violating his civil rights by exceeding the 48-hour detention limit, claiming that he should have been transferred to federal custody upon resolution of his last criminal case. This week a federal judge awarded the illegal immigrant $145,000 for his pain and suffering. To avoid more lawsuits, New York jail officials say now they release deportable criminals and “it’s ICE’s problem to go find these guys.”

The feds contend that they were never notified about this particular illegal immigrant, which is typical in these sorts of situations. Finger pointing between local and federal authorities is par for the course in cases like this and occurs nationwide between police and immigration officials.

A classic example occurred a few years ago when a police department in Rhode Island claimed it had contacted federal immigration officials about a violent and previously deported illegal alien who kidnapped and raped a woman. Providence Police officials said that ICE didn’t bother deporting the Guatemalan man after his first few crimes even after learning about his violent history. In turn, ICE asserted that it was never contacted.

Inexperienced Community Organizer Nominates Inexperienced Non-Judge to SCOTUS!

Capitol Hill Coffee House

President Obama

has decided that inexperience is a virtue when it comes to filling positions of great public trust. Apparently buoyed by his own “success” in spite of no prior experience or achievement, the president enthusiastically advanced the name of Non-judge Elena Kagan to take a seat on the U.S. Supreme Court

.

As reported, in part, at politico.com:
“President Barack Obama nominated Solicitor General Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court Monday – calling her a legal trailblazer who would embody “that same excellence, independence, integrity and passion for the law” as the man she would replace, retiring Justice John Paul Stevens.”
Pity poor John Paul Stevens. The man has been on the U.S. Supreme Court for 35 years and in the legal profession all of his life.
Now at age 92, in appreciation for his lifetime of dedicated service, he is replaced by a non-judge in order to establish a meaningless trifecta of femininity!
Even a liberal deserves better!

Teacher Deems American Flag ‘Offensive’

Fox Nation

The battle over the American flag has reached a middle school art class in California’s Santa Rita School District where a student was told not to draw Old Glory because it was “offensive,” while another student was praised for drawing a picture of President Obama.

Tracy Hathaway, of Salinas, CA, told FOX News Radio her 13-year-old daughter was ordered to stop drawing the American flag and start another project at Gavilan View Middle School.

“She had drawn the flag and was sketching the letters, ‘God bless America,’ when the teacher confronted her,” Hathaway told FOX. “She said, ‘You can’t draw that – that’s offensive.’”

Even more striking, another student in the same art class drew a picture of President Obama and was praised by the teacher.

Dems Continue Spending Like Drunken Sailors

The Hill

Congress faces a crush of votes on big-ticket items before the Memorial Day recess, setting up a debate on deficits less than six months before the November elections.

Democratic leaders are looking in the next three weeks to send President Barack Obama a slew of measures that cost more than $200 billion, including a multiyear extension of unemployment benefits, an extension of expiring tax provisions and Medicare doctor payments totaling $180 billion and a $33 billion Afghanistan war supplemental bill.

Because most of those costs won’t be paid for, Republicans plan to use those bills and the Democrats’ budget blueprint to highlight massive deficits ahead of the congressional midterm election. Republicans have recently been pointing to Greece’s dismal fiscal situation as a warning, claiming that the U.S. will be headed for a similar fate unless the deficits are curtailed.
