Barack Obama Ignores Tennessee Flood Victims In Favor of Haiti and Chile

For those of you who think this administration really is malicious — okay, when it comes to free markets, capitalism, and the greatest of the country I’m with you — we have greater examples that the President and his advisors really are just amateurish.

On April 30th, Barack Obama issued a Presidential Proclamation declaring today the National Day of Prayer.

In it, he wrote,

Let us remember in our thoughts and prayers those suffering from natural disasters in Haiti, Chile, and elsewhere, and the people from those countries and from around the world who have worked tirelessly and selflessly to render aid. Let us pray for the families of the West Virginia miners, and the people of Poland who so recently and unexpectedly lost many of their beloved leaders

The next day, Tennessee began to flood, people began to die, and things changed pretty dramatically.

Barack Obama has still, to my knowledge, not spoken personally of the events in Tennessee or attempted to visit — an act that would have gotten George W. Bush savagely attacked by the press, Democrats, and Congress.

More troubling, Barack Obama neither altered the National Day of Prayer Proclamation nor issued a subsequent one.

Heck, even Bob McDonnell reissued his Confederate History Proclamation to include a line about slavery.

The Go-Fly List for Terrorists

If America’s homeland security policies were subject to truth-in-advertising laws, the “no-fly” list would be known around the world by its right and proper name: the “go-fly” list. As in: Go right ahead, jihadists, and fly our planes. All aboard, evil-doers.

While grandmas and grade-schoolers and war heroes patiently pass through a gauntlet of wands, checkpoints and screening obstacles, the nation’s safety watchdogs are asleep at the wheel. They’ve mentally checked out at the check-in counter. And they’re in over their heads at federal counterterrorism centers, where “watch list” means putting the names of dangerous operatives into massive databases — then idly watching potential bombers waltz through our airports and onto our tarmacs.

The federal no-fly scheme was bypassed or breached easily by both the Christmas Day bomb plotter and the Times Square bomb plotter. In the former case, Nigerian terror operative Umar Abdulmutallab had been on the counterterrorism radar screen for his radical jihadi threats (which had been reported by his father to U.S. embassy officials in London). But the young, single, rootless Muslim extremist with suspicious travel patterns — ding, ding, ding, ding, ding! — did not meet the standards for watch-listing and didn’t even make it onto the second-tier “selectee list” of potential threats who can fly only after additional screening.

Joe Kovacs says that more than a year and half after Barack Obama was elected, the governor of Hawaii is now publicly voicing the alleged exact location of Obama’s birth, saying “the president was, in fact, born at Kapi’olani Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii.”

The disclosure is believed to be the first time a state government official has declared the precise place where Obama was born, despite numerous other published claims, including some for a different hospital in Honolulu.
