Birthday Wishes for Speaker Pelosi

America’s Right

Dear Speaker Pelosi,

It is near impossible to find a “Happy Birthday to the Woman Who Ruined My Country” greeting card in the local drugstore, so this letter will have to do.  I hope you don’t mind.

You know, Madame Speaker, it’s a good thing that Hallmark’s “Animosity” section is so threadbare, because this letter has been a long time in the making.  It is the culmination of not only my own patience beginning to boil over but, as shown by your recent 11 percent job approval rating, also the patience of a vast majority of the American populace as well. You, Madame Pelosi, will not limit me to one vote; if, indeed, there is any truth to the old adage, “The Pen is Mightier than the Sword,” then we’re about to find out.

Let me be very clear, Mrs. Pelosi: my mission in life is now solely dedicated to influencing, in any way that I possibly can, your removal from office. Strong words from an insignificant man in the smallest state in the union, I know, but you are a threat to America and, as shown this week as you forced through an unconstitutional bill and triumphantly trampled over the individual liberties of 300 million Americans, a domestic enemy of America’s Constitution.  And best yet, birthday girl, is the reality that everyone–save the mindless automatons who blindly follow you–knows it.

Most importantly, though, you’re a threat to something even more precious to me – my son’s future happiness. Apparently, in your desperate, tunnel-visioned attempts to take power in megalomaniacal style, you have badly lost sight of a fundamental truth about life: never get in the way of a parent trying to protect his child. It’s a losing proposition, each and every time.

Of course, please understand that unlike the throngs on the left who made movies about the hypothetical assassination of George W. Bush and cheered when an irate Iraqi hurled a loafer at him, I would never wish any physical harm to come to you or your Democratic Party flunkies — I just want you to go back to your swank vineyards and stay there. Forever. Right beside all the “low-cost” labor that you have picking your grapes and holding them over your head for you. I think, however, that the single most pressing question which–believe it or not–occasionally keeps me awake at night concerns the source of your unbalanced mindset.

Where did it ever come from?  Inevitably, I always come back to one, single, solitary word:

Woodstock.  Seriously, Woodstock.  I mean, think of the mind-altering drugs!

2008 Market Crash Should be Investigated

Capitol Hill Coffee House

Almost two years after the mortgage crisis and stock market crash, no one seems to wonder about the “September surprise” that shifted the 2008 presidential election to an unknown leftist politician who had been elected to the Senate only two years before. A pulp-fiction writer could hardly have created a more contrived and bizarre story. But this was not make-believe. No, it is now our own gritty reality show that we only wish we could turn off.

The week of Sept. 15, 2008, was a debacle of huge proportions. On Monday, Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy while other lending institutions lined up like dominoes

teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. But the week was hardly over. On Thursday, an electronic run on the banks occurred. In an unprecedented move, the Treasury and the Federal Reserve had to act together to stop what had become a full-fledged panic. On Saturday, Sept. 20, The Wall Street Journal recounted events of that previous Thursday:
“Instead of lining up at bank windows, investors were unloading financial assets

on their PCs. Credit markets had seized up, to the point that even routine daily settlements had stopped until banks had the actual securities or cash in hand.”

“Investors were rushing out of these [Treasury and Federal Reserve] funds—$105 billion out of $1.8 trillion on Thursday alone—which in turn caused the funds to redeem their commercial paper investments.”
“Issuers of that paper then had to find new funders, which in a pinch are banks. But jittery banks were refusing to accept paper from even worthy companies amid the panic, creating a larger credit breakdown. In response, Treasury will now insure nonbank money-market fund deposits for the next year, to slow money-fund redemptions.”
For such a large and coordinated exodus of funds to occur in U.S. markets, something more than individual “investors” at their PCs had to be in play. Large and well-managed hedge and mutual funds were undoubtedly behind much of the move.
A few months later on a C-Span interview, Rep. Paul Kanjorski, House Capital Markets Subcommittee Chair, described that day:
“On Thursday at about 11 o’clock in the morning the Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous drawdown of money market accounts

in the United States, to the tune of $550 billion was being drawn out in a matter of an hour or two. The Treasury opened up its window to help. It pumped $105 billion in the system and quickly realized that they could not stem the tide; we were having an electronic run on the banks. They decided to close the operation, close down the money accounts and announce a guarantee of $250,000 per account so there wouldn’t be further panic out there.”
The $550 Billion withdrawn in an hour or two that Rep. Kanjorski refers to in his statement has never been independently confirmed or refuted.
In mid-September, John McCain was ahead of Barack Obama in some polls by about 3 percent. By Oct. 10, the S&P 500 Index had lost 25% of its value from what it had been a month before. The crash was a major calamity for the McCain Campaign. And now, with Obama in the White House, it has become a calamity for us all.
The fact remains that the identities of those who withdrew their money that week were never disclosed. And, knowingly or not, they created a panic that altered the course of the election. One can only wonder whether something more than normal market forces was at work.
Courtesy of Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, the crisis came about by the uncertain value of subprime securities held by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, banks, saving and loans, and other lending institutions. A declining market in itself is not noteworthy, but to induce a panic in the midst of a presidential campaign, if ever proven, would be reprehensible and an outrage to the American electorate.
While the stock market collapse was a disaster for your average IRA or 401(k) account, some investors benefited handsomely. It is widely agreed that hedge funds profited by selling short the collapsing market in 2008, and chief among them was George Soros’ hedge fund. Soros may have personally had the motivation, method, and opportunity to trigger the crash.
Soros’ overseas-based hedge fund evades much scrutiny, and its activities that week left almost no trail. Could Soros and his hedge fund be behind many of the withdrawals of that week, and particularly on that Thursday? We need to know. The massive outflow of U.S. funds to offshore accounts that critical week during the campaign could be a coincidence, but it is doubtful.
George Soros is a multi-billionaire answerable to no one. Hastening a market meltdown to give the election to Barack Obama would fit his pattern of profiting while destroying the social order of his target country. Triggering a crash in 2008 would also serve his political investments.
Soros is obsessed with power. He wants a One World Government, redistribution of wealth, open borders, and universal health care. He is determined to change America forever by deconstructing its sovereignty and ability to defend itself. Soros was a huge backer of Barack Obama, and now his anointed president is determined to change America to their mutual view.
Soros made his fortune by short selling currencies and then pouring substantial amounts of his private wealth into organizations to subvert various nations. He nearly bankrupted the Bank of England by shorting the pound in 1992. He wrecked the Malaysian economy in 1998, and subsequently that of Indonesia as well. He is responsible for stirring-up instability in Africa, the Balkans, Eastern Europe, and the former Soviet republics.
Over the years, Soros has positioned himself to take control of the Democrat Party through the hundreds of 527 organizations he has helped financed. These organizations have become a “Shadow Party” unto themselves, and manipulate public opinion for their own end.
Among them: the National Education Association, ACORN, AFL-CIO, American Federation of Teachers, The Media Fund, the Open Society Institute, Planned Parenthood League, the Sierra Club, America Coming Together, the Huffington Post, Moveon.org. If a left-wing organization is in the news, it has probably received money from George Soros.
Why have the identities never been reported of those who withdrew funds that week? Shouldn’t there be even some curiosity about an event that wiped out the jobs and life savings of so many people? And why has there been no follow-up inquiry by into Rep. Kanjorski’s statement?  There needs to be a public investigation concerning the amounts and offshore destinations of the funds withdrawn from U.S. markets that precipitated the crash.
Did an unwritten partnership exist between George Soros and Barack Obama? Could Soros, through Obama, be seeking a “velvet revolution” in the dismantling of our nation as he has done elsewhere? These questions need further investigation. With the Alinskyite tactics employed by Team Obama, none of this is beyond the realm of possibility.
Americans recoil at the thought of having their elections manipulated by outsiders. As long as Democrats control Congress, there surely will never be an effective inquiry into this affair. Perhaps a GOP victory this November will allow a thorough examination finally to begin. Add this to the many investigations the GOP will need to make when they finally take back Congress.

These Are the Smart People? Oh, Please

Pajamas Media

If there is a single thing that Barack Obama has proved to the American people — beyond any reasonable doubt — it is that he is not smart.  And neither are those so-called brilliant folks surrounding him, aiding him, advising him, and egging him on against the will of the people.

Barack Obama is charismatic. Or at least he was until mainstream Americans figured out he was a habitual liar and stopped listening to him.

From his whoppers about small things on the campaign trail (his uncle helped liberate Auschwitz; his parents married because of Selma; his father got a scholarship to America from the Kennedy’s) to his lies about very big things (his health care plan will reduce employer insurance premiums by 3000 percent, or $3,000 — still a lie), this president is now only allowed in polite company because he is the president. In any real-world company, inveterate liars are shunned as utterly untrustworthy, unreliable, unwelcome guests. (Unless their last name is “Clinton,” we shouldn’t forget.)

The still-blind sucker crowd that elected this charlatan to the most powerful CEO position in the world, on the strength of his skin color and a resume fit for the back of a postage stamp, cling to the hollow claim that their guy is just too smart for the rest of us commoners to understand him. And that whopper is just as believable to any sentient person as the president’s 3000 percent rate-reduction claim about his health care bill.

The proof that Barack Obama is not smart lies in his actions over the past year.

Never has so much goodwill been so thoroughly wasted and abused.

President Obama came into office riding a wave of well-wishes that was truly unprecedented. He also faced grave problems. He did not face unprecedented problems, as he so likes to pretend.

If President Obama were really the smartest guy of his generation, then he would have done the following:

He would have, first and foremost, surrounded himself with unimpeachable, morally sound, and experienced cabinet members.  Instead he filled his cabinet with Clinton retreads, tax cheats, polarizing ideologues, and unfit-for-the-real-world academics.

Dumb. Really dumb.

Second, President Obama — if he were really smart — would have told his Chicago intimates, especially Desiree Rogers and his wife, Michelle, that until the economy was in full — very full — rebound, there would be no expensive, vulgar partying in the people’s house. Knowing full well that he had come into the presidency on his own rhetoric that we were facing the worst “economic crisis since the Great Depression,” Barack Obama would have known better — if he were really smart — than to order up gala parties with imported Wagu beef at $100 per pound, while he was speaking out the other side of his mouth about the disgusting nature of executive retreats to Las Vegas.  A smart man would have known the people would see him as a hypocrite.

Instead, the Obamas partied hardy to the thralls of every society page in the country, quickly making themselves the butt of jokes from coast to coast.

Third, President Obama — if he were really smart — would have turned serious executive instead of media addict. He would not have appeared on a late-night comedy show. He would not have spent more time in front of a camera’s glow than he spent at his desk. He would have rolled up his sleeves and gotten down to the hard work of governing instead of hamming it up in public 24/7, which any truly smart person knows is not only bound to get old very fast, but also sends out the message loud and clear that no one is actually acting as president.

And if Obama were really intelligent, he would have hired a speech coach for the express purpose of weaning him from those confounded teleprompters. A man, who had just captured the presidency as the intellectual elite from Harvard, should have been smart enough to know that teleprompters malfunction and that camera phones take pictures of teleprompters and that when the people think they’ve elected a smart man, they should not be so easily disabused of that notion. It’s not good for the image one has worked so tirelessly to create.

Obama: Student Radical

This is piece from Andy McCarthy from July of 2009. In case you missed it, here is your chance, with obama and his boys scrubbing everything from the net that is negative about him, you may not get another chance.

NRO

[Andy McCarthy]

During the campaign, I wrote a piece called “Why Won’t Obama Talk About Columbia? — The years he won’t discuss may explain the Ayers tie he keeps lying about.” So now, nearly six months into the Obama presidency, the mainstream media has finally done a bit of the candidate background reporting it declined to do during the campaign — other than in Wasilla — and whaddya know?  The New York Times unearthed a 1983 article called, “Breaking the War Mentality,” that Columbia student Barack Obama wrote for a campus newspaper. The article shows that Obama dreaded American “militarism” and its “military-industrial interests,” while effusing enthusiasm for the dangerously delusional nuclear-freeze movement.

Moreover, while indicating a preference for the political wisdom of reggae singer Peter Tosh over Ronald Reagan or Scoop Jackson, Obama bewailed the “narrow focus” of anti-militarism activists, worrying that they were targeting the “symptoms” rather than the real “disease,” namely, America’s underlying economic and political injustice:

Generally, the narrow focus of the [Nuclear] Freeze movement as well as academic discussions of first versus second strike capabilities, suit the military-industrial interests, as they continue adding to their billion dollar erector sets.  When Peter Tosh sings that “everybody’s asking for peace, but nobody’s asking for justice,” one is forced to wonder whether disarmament or arms control issues, severed from economic and political issues, might be another instance of focusing on the symptoms of a problem instead of the disease itself.

Obama nevertheless did see some advantage in homing in on a small target:

Mark Bigelow [a graduate student who helped run “Arms Race Alternatives” (ARA), another of the campus organizations lauded in Obama’s article] … points to fruitful work being done by other organizations involved with disarmament.  “The Freeze is one part of a whole disarmament movement. The lowest common denominator, so to speak. For instance, April 10-16 is Jobs for Peac [sic] week, with a bunch of things going on around the city. Also, the New York City Council may pass a resolution in April calling for greater social as opposed to military spending. Things like this may dispell the idea that disarmament is a white issue, because how the government spends its revenue affects everyone.”

Obama, the budding community-organizer, also took time to praise “Students Against Militarism, an obscure campus group more ambitious in scope than ARA:

Also operating out of Earl Hall Center, Students Against Militarism was formed in response to the passage of [military draft] registration laws in 1980. An entirely student-run organizatoin, SAM casts a wider net than ARA, though for the purposes of effectiveness, they have tried to lock in on one issue at a time.

“At the heart of our organization is an anti-war focus”, says junior Robert Kahn, one of SAM’s fifteen or so active members. “From there, a lot of issues shoot forth — nukes, racism, the draft, and South Africa. “We have been better organized when taking one issue at a time, but we are always cognizant of other things going on, and collaborate frequently with other campus organizations like CISPES and REEL-POLITIK.” [Quotation break in original.]

Student Obama summed up with near incoherent Lefty gobbledygook:

Indeed, the most pervasive malady of the collegiate system specifically, and the American experience generally, is that elaborate patterns of knowledge and theory have been disembodied from individual choices and government policy. What the members of ARA and SAM try to do is infuse what they have learned about the current situation, bring the words of that formidable roster on the face of Butler Library, names like Thoreau, Jefferson, and Whitman, to bear on the twisted logic of which we are today a part. By adding their energy and effort in order to enhance the possibility of a decent world, they may help deprive us of a spectacular experience — that of war.  But then, there are some things we shouldn’t have to live through in order to want to avoid the experience.

Who knew?

Nice as it is of the media to scratch the surface journalists should have been mining over a year ago, the current disastrous straits for the country are that — as Jen Rubin contends at contentions — the Obama who is off to Russia to cut unratifiable deals with the recrudescent Soviets hasn’t really changed in the ensuing quarter-century.

A New Group: Crash The Tea Party: Stated Goal Dismantle and Demolish The Tea Party Movement

April 9, 2010 ·

Charging Elephant posted this and it sounds like the Liberals are loosing it, Big Time. They are out of control, and they are also loosing control of their own party. This is not the Democrats of your Father or Grand-Father. These are the Democrats that want Control everything we do. To them there is no Freedom, there is no Liberty, there is only Them. These are the New Democrats, the ones that tell you if you disagree with them, then you are a racist. The ones that call Soldiers coming back from Iraq are terrorist. This is where Tyranny starts within our own government. The People have a Right to disagree and they disagree with  Obama  and his Socialistic ideas and dreams. Does this make me a racist?  I think it makes me a Patriot and an American.

A new group of pro-administration goons has decided to infiltrate the T-party Movement. In doing so they plan to disparage the groups by creating havoc. Their actions will be picked up by the mainstream media’ already unproven stereotypes.  I suggest we infiltrate them with a little counterinsurgency effort exposing them to media that may alert the public.  One comment that I noted after joining was the suggestion to have signs that read Obama drinks the blood of aborted fetus’  I’m sure they will have others.  Random thoughts while observing the passing parade, I’m J.C.

Agent Provocateur Mad Hatters want to crash your Tea Party

Canada Free Press

Warning: Marinated-in-Marxism Democrats and supporters are hot on the trail of Tea Party patriots.

They have launched a Crash the Tea Party (CTTP) website: crashtheteaparty.org on the eve of the April 15 anniversary of the Tea Party.

“WHO WE ARE, Crash The Tea Party style, is a lesson in Marxism 101: “A nationwide network of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who are sick and tired of that loose affiliation of racists, homophobes, and morons; who constitute the fake grass-roots movement which calls itself “The Tea Party.”

The definition of CTTP couldn’t have been better scripted by Nancy Pelosi.

“WHAT WE WANT: To dismantle and demolish the Tea Party by any non-violent means necessary.

“HOW WE WILL SUCCEED: By infiltrating the Tea Party itself!  In an effort to propagate their pre-existing propensity for paranoia and suspicion…We have already sat quietly in their meetings, and observed their rallies.”

But the game-plan is Crash the Tea Party’s most ominous part: “We will act on behalf of the Tea Party in ways which exaggerate their least appealing qualities (misspelled protest signs, wild claims in TV interviews, etc.) to further distance them from mainstream America and damage the public’s opinion of them.  We will also use the inside information that we have gained in order to disrupt and derail their plans.”  (Emphasis CFP’s).

“Sound like fun?  It is!! If you’d like to join us, just click on the word “crash!” below.

Crash the Tea Party could should be called Agent Provocateurs Are Us!

And like the scurrilous snipers of the sidelines they are, they try to pass off their website registrant name as Ben Franklin.

Crash the Tea Party was registered April 3, 2010.

CFP conducted an Internic “Whois” search and discovered that the phone number listed for the Ben Franklin registrant gave an S. Lamonoff in Langhorne, Pa.  White pages list a Sheila R. Lamonoff as holder of the telephone line, also listed as S. Lamonoff.

The telephone number listed for Crash the Tea Party is 215-752-1992.  The number has call block service.

CFP dialed the number and reached a recorded female voice saying “You have reached Carol and Nat, We are not available.  Leave a message and have a nice day.”

Other records indicate that there is a Norman Lamonoff listed at the same address.

Meanwhile, patriots take note: The Dem-inspired agent provocateurs want to crash your Tea Party.

NPR archive describes Obama as ‘Kenyan-born’

By Bob Unruh
© 2010 WorldNetDaily

Those crazy “birthers” are citing National Public Radio.

Really? NPR?

Archives for the tax-supported organization reveal that a 2008 report described then-Sen. Barack Obama as “Kenyan-born”  and a “son of Africa.”

NPR’s promotion for the story included a brief description of West African correspondent Ofeibea Quist-Arcton, who “describes the stories that have been exciting, including the U.S. presidential race of Kenyan-born Sen. Barack Obama.”

After discussing various issues developing in Africa at the time – such as Kenya’s violent elections, the attacks in Zimbabwe and the presidency of South Africa – the conversation on the program “Tell Me More” turned to Obama.

At about 9:45 of the audio report, interviewer Michelle Martin said “a son of Africa. Barack Obama is poised to at least have the opportunity to become the next president of the United States.” She asked, “How does this campaign look overseas?”

Quist-Arcton responded by describing Obama as a member of the Kenyan Luo tribe and reporting how Africa viewed the race.
