America’s Hopelessly Corrupt Political-Media Culture

truth lies corruption _ L

Family Security Matters

The United States has dire problems at home and perilous threats from abroad, all of which are solvable, but not with the politicians who are now wielding the power and the journalists who are controlling the national dialogue, few of whom serve the interests of the country or tell the American people the truth.

For Democrats, the only things Americans have in common are our differences. They attain and maintain power by practicing tribal politics, emphasizing and exploiting divisions based on race, ethnicity, gender and income. A united and healthy America is an anathema to the Democratic Party.

Democrats do not offer coherent policies to address national issues, but present a collection of simultaneous arguments embracing grievances and entitlements for which no solutions are ever sufficient and whose demands for redress become ever more extreme.

Democrats are progressive because, in order to preserve their voter base, they must move progressively further and further to the left, inventing new crises, creating greater resentment, telling bigger lies and applying more and more coercion in order to implement their increasingly radical agenda.

Polls: Americans Have Had Enough

Moonbattery

The results are in, and they are definitive. Hopey Change is a total failure:

The recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll surely doesn’t bode well for the Obama administration, which promised hope and change on a platter back in 2008. Seventy-one percent of Americans feels that the country is going in the wrong direction. President Obama’s job approval has dropped to 40 percent–and only 42 percent approve of how he’s handling the economy. Approval on foreign policy, an area where this administration polled somewhat strongly, fell to 36 percent among Americans.

Keep in mind that as a mulatto leftist, Obama has a guaranteed floor provided by certain demographic and ideological groups that will support him virtually no matter what (the vast majority of blacks, PBS/NPR fans, journalists, etc.). He has hit that floor and is burrowing through it.

Five and half years into his “fundamental transformation of America,” a staggering 79% are dissatisfied with the political system. We are in revolution territory — or should I say, counter-revolution territory.

There’s more:

A fresh Associated Press poll is just as bleak on virtually every count. Obama’s approval is upside down (40/59) overall, and underwater on every single issue polled. He’s in the 30′s on many of them. His best number is on handling relationships with other countries, at (43/55). … Republicans held a “trust” edge on seven of the eight specific issues polled.

At least Obama appears to have gotten the taste of George W. Bush out of everyone’s mouths.

The good news is that the radicalized Democrat Party is in for a pounding in the fall, even if voters don’t like the GOP much either, probably due to its infestation with untrustworthy RINOs. Pete Wehner has the bad news:

Sustained contempt for our political system is corrosive. It undermines our affections for America.

Undermining the economy through massive debt, alienating our friends, emboldening our enemies, ushering in potentially millions of Third World welfare dependents, turning us against each other, and taking a sledgehammer to the Constitution are not the worst of Obama’s legacy. He has turned American pride into shame. If that isn’t reversed quickly, the country is doomed.

BREAKING: West Virginia Files Lawsuit to Stop Barack Obama

Conservative Tribune

President Obama’s signature piece of legislation, the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare, is at great risk now, more than ever.

The victory of Hobby Lobby against Obamacare in the Supreme Court has set off a wave of new lawsuits, and given a renewed sense of confidence to other, already existing lawsuits.

There are two major lawsuits that could spell the death of the healthcare law, challenging it on the fundamentals of where the bill originated, and if the subsidies offered by the government are legal.  At least 20 states have also filed their own lawsuit challenging the law on the Origination Clause of the Constitution.

Inhofe blocks climate change resolution

The Hill

Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) blocked Senate Democrats on Monday from passing a resolution that would have acknowledged the reality of climate change.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) asked unanimous consent to pass S.Res. 524, which is a measure that expresses the sense of the Senate that climate change is occurring and poses a risk to the United States. But Inhofe objected.

“All we wanted to say in this resolution is climate change is happening,” Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) said on the Senate floor. “We can’t afford to sit around here debating whether climate change is real.”

Inhofe has been an ardent climate change denier, saying it is the “biggest hoax” perpetrated against mankind.

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), who is a sponsor of the resolution, said Inhofe was living in an “alternate reality.”

“To say that we have no warming is just not factual,” Whitehouse said. “Ignorant, out-of-touch or crazy — that’s what young Republicans think of that position.”

Klobuchar said she would try again to pass the resolution because the Senate looks “silly” for ignoring scientific agreement.

Legalized, Not Prosecuted: Illegal Alien Who Stole Identity of Dead SSI-Collecting Baby Son

ssi

(CNSNews.com) – The U.S. government not only failed to prosecute an illegal alien who stole the identity of his dead baby son—who had collected SSI before he died—but granted the father legal status to work in the United States.

This one-time illegal alien, the Office of Inspector General for the Social Security Administration believes, fraudulently used his son’s Social Security Number for at least three years.

Yet, he was not prosecuted, according to the IG’s office, because his case did not meet the prosecutorial guidelines of the U.S. attorney for New Jersey.

In fact, this case might never have come to light had the IG not launched an audit aimed at uncovering the misuse of children’s Social Security Numbers.

The IG’s office issued its report on this audit–which covered tax years 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010–this March.

One of its findings was that there were 365 dead children whose SSNs reportedly earned wages during the four years audited. “In three cases,” the IG determined, “the earnings were legitimate and earned by child actors who had died.”

But in the other 362 cases, people had misused the SSNs of dead children.

On their face, Social Security records indicated that these 362 dead children had worked for 626 different employers over the four-year period covered by the audit and earned a collective $9 million.

“Of the 362 deceased children, 326 were under age 7 when the wages were earned,” said the report. “In fact, 24 of the children had died at birth.”

1.3 million Obamacare ‘enrollees’ may not even be American citizens, admits HHS report

(NaturalNews) Trouble is brewing in Washington as those who still consider legitimate the national healthcare takeover known as Obamacare try to figure out which enrollees are even eligible for coverage. A new report issued by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) admits that nearly 1.3 million Obamacare enrollees, or about 16 percent of the overall total, cannot be verified for legal status in the U.S. — in other words, most, if not all, of them are illegal immigrants rather than American citizens.

The shocking figures can be found on page 11 of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) report, entitled Marketplaces Faced Early Challenges Resolving Inconsistencies with Applicant Data. According to the figures, 1,295,571 “inconsistencies” — this is a politically correct way of implying missing or fraudulent data — found on Obamacare applications involved issues of citizenship, national status or lawful presence in the U.S., meaning applicants did not or could not verify this important information.

“The Federal marketplace was generally incapable of resolving most inconsistencies,” admits the report, noting that a large percentage of these faulty applications will likely never be resolved, at least not until the eligibility verification system becomes operable. “Without the ability to resolve inconsistencies in an applicant’s eligibility data, the marketplace cannot ensure that an applicant meets each of the eligibility requirements for enrollment in a [Qualified Health Plan] and when applicable, eligibility for insurance affordability programs.”
