Party Time! Obamas Heading Back To Hawaii For Another Taxpayer-Funded Vacation…

Sixth straight year.

Must be nice.

HONOLULU – The White House hasn’t officially announced their plans yet, but Hawaii News Now has learned the Obama’s will vacation here over the holidays.  This will be the First Family’s sixth Christmas in Hawaii since he was elected president, and keeping with tradition they are expected to spend it in Kailua.

Every year the Obama’s have rented a few houses on Kailuana Place – creating quite the buzz in the beach side community.

“It’s exciting.  It’s really an honor to have him here, and when he’s around – actually the place is super safe because we have all this security around,” said Lanette Hayashi, who lives in the neighborhood where the Obama’s are expected to stay again this year.

“We go through two security points and so the second one, we have to get out of our car.  We have to be searched ourselves, plus our car has to be completely searched,” described Madeline, who has lived on the same street where the Obama’s have been renting for more than four decades.

Obama To Travel To Asia In October

100 million for Africa. Wonder how much this will be.

Via Politico:

President Obama will again pivot toward Asia next month with a week-long trip to Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia and the Philippines, the White House announced Friday.

Obama will be away Oct. 6-12 for a trip that the White House describes as “part of his ongoing commitment to increase U.S. political, economic and security engagement with the Asia Pacific.”

He’ll start the trip in Bali, to attend the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders meeting. He missed last year’s summit in Russia, which came weeks before the presidential election. Depending on the status of Syria talks, the summit could include a showdown between Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin, who’s also expected to attend. Obama will also hold a bilateral meeting with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Obama will then travel to Brunei for the U.S.-ASEAN Summit, the East Asia Summit (EAS) and a meeting with the Sultan of Brunei, who he hosted at the White House earlier this year. In Malaysia, Obama plans to meet with Prime Minister Najib of Malaysia and to deliver the keynote address to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, an effort Obama launched in 2009 to help promote job creation through entrepreneurship. In the Phillippines, he’ll meet with President Benigno Aquino III “to reaffirm the strong economic, people-to-people, and security links between our two countries,” the White House said.

Obama Spends Millions on Martha’s Vineyard Vacation

Free Republic

You would think after spending $100 million dollars of taxpayer money on a recent trip to Africa would be enough for one summer. But it’s not.

The Obama family have already booked their next getaway to Martha’s Vineyard. They will reportedly be staying in a $7.6 million dollar mansion the week of August 10th. Their vacation will last about a week.

During the 2012 campaign, they couldn’t make a trip to an exclusive island so they are trying to make up for it up this summer.

While families are struggling to make ends meet, the Obama’s are taking trip after trip on the taxpayers dollar.

Fore! Obama To Vacation In Palm Beach This Week…

Weasel Zippers

In his defense, it has been seven long weeks since his last vacation.

WASHINGTON — President Obama will be enjoying a little R and R — and no doubt some golf — this weekend during a vacation in West Palm Beach.

The White House says he will leave Friday and he has no public events scheduled during the trip.

The Presidents’ Day getaway to one of the playgrounds of the rich and famous comes just days after he delivered his State of the Union address focused on the plight of the middle class.

The Obamas’ 17-Day Vacation to Hawaii Costs Taxpayers $4,135,038

Michelle Obama’s Impatience to Vacation Once Again Costs Taxpayers a Fortune

Moonbattery

The ever industrious Comrade Obama has delayed his 17-day vacation. Once again, the Bitter Half is going ahead without him, costing taxpayers a fortune:

First lady Michelle Obama’s separate voyage to Hawaii promises to cost taxpayers tens of thousand in extra dollars, as her separate entourage and hefty flying costs pile on the costs.

The military jet flight alone is priced at more than $60,000, according to government estimates. But that’s only the beginning. The additional cargo flight that often accompanies the first lady on such a trip must also be paid for, as well as the limos and other accoutrements it will contain.

As she will be separated from the presidential security bubble, Michelle will require her own entourage of Secret Service protection, in addition to the staffers who will be leaving early to go to Hawaii with her.

Estimated bare minimum cost of Mooch’s impatience: $100,000. Good thing for her it’s someone else’s money. She recently managed to spend $10 million on vacations in one year.

Exhausted From Ten-Day Martha’s Vineyard Vacation, Obama Heads To Camp David…

Weasel Zippers

I sense a golf course in Obama’s not-so-distant future.

(CNN) — President Barack Obama left for Camp David on Marine One Friday but, in a twist that has left some White House reporters scratching their heads, he apparently arrived at the presidential retreat by car.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney explained the decision not to land at Camp David was made in advance because of the weather. Marine One landed at an alternate site near Frederick, Maryland and the president and his daughter, Sasha, rode in a motorcade the rest of way to the compound.

Because it is customary practice that the traveling press pool is included whenever the president uses a motorcade, reporters naturally wondered why the pool was not part of the trip or even informed that the president would use a motorcade ahead of time.

Meanwhile, CNN’s weather team found no signs of stormy weather in the area at the time Marine One departed the White House.
